  1. Very interesting but drawing analogy to the American civil-war is doomed from the start.
  2. Cultural-Marxism is cancer which is destroying the west. It is hard to beat also because fighting against cultural-marxism requires exactly the opposite tenets which all of them are almost equally bullshit as well. I mean; all women should stay at home to look after children, all gays should stay in the closet, everyone to church on Sunday, all unmarried and childless adults should pay heavy extra-taxes etc. Who wants that kind of BS either? Makes you realise why fighting against culturla-marxism is very difficult.
  3. Wasn't it the Atlanta-olympics in 1996 which have been the only event which was profitable as it was funded by private money only? Yet those olympics have the reputation of being the most boring and soulless games ever.
  4. Falling birth-rates is a permanent feature of life in Western-Europe. That development has been going on since the late 60's when contraceptives became available and abortion-laws were relaxed. There is really no way back to days prior to those events. If some religious fundamentalists somehow manage to get into power maybe they will ban the pill and abortion but the likelihood of that happening is, fortunately, next to nothing. Here in Finland there used to be tax-laws up until the 70's that unmarried people had to pay extra-tax which was popularly nicknamed as the spinster's/bachelor's tax. The idea was to encourage people to get married and have children. If you didn't have mouths to feed other than your own you could as well start feeding the government. That tax caught you at a very young age, 24 or 25 I think. I'm glad that such an unfair and outrageously stupid tax is no longer there. If it still existed I would probably have moved to another country.
  5. There are pros and cons to switching to PR. One of the biggest cons in my view is the long process of forming the government. In the system you have now if you have elections today then a new government takes office tomorrow. Not in PR. It may take weeks if not even months to cobble up some weak coalition together. In finland we once had two months between the election and the new government taking office and we always have at least a month. In Germany they had their election on Sept 24th. Still no results in the government-talks which seem to have heading for a breakdown and there may be new elections ahead.
  6. Quite strange that there really hasn't been any big mention this week of the 100th anniversary of one of the greatest catastrophes in human history which has caused tens of millions of deaths across the world. The Russian coup d'etat in 1917 which they prefer to call a revolution.
  7. One year on after Trump's election-victory and today a couple of governor's elections won by Democrats is interpreted as a vote of no-confidence for Trump. How many governor's elections did the Democrats lose during eight years of Obama?
  8. I wonder, according to the Spanish constitution is there any lawful mechanism for the Catalans to become independent. I'm sure that the US declaration of independence was certainly illegal from the British point of view.
  9. Is immigration itself the problem or handing out citizenship too easily? I don't really know is it easy or difficult for an immigrant to get the Canadian citizenship. What I do know is that in Finland it is a piece of cake for a foreigner to become a Finnish citizen and they can keep their old citizenship too, so they become dual-citizens.
  10. A village o0f 400 people and 50 people were at the church. That's an attendance-rate European churches can only deam of. Doesn't happen even at christmas nor easter. As for the event itself, there was some story about that the killer's mother-in-law lived in that village and many of the people he killed were friends and relatives of that mother-in-law.
  11. Trump is having hard time now but things can change quickly. Another 9/11-scale attack against the USA and there will be demands how the nation must be united. There was some rudimentary attempt today in NYC to make another 9/11. Just to remind you, when Bush sr won the Gulf-war his approval-ratings were close to 90% and there was a lot of talk which Democrats would not be too embarassed to challenge the President but that was in February 1991. Things were quite different in November 1992 or even earlier than that. No shortage of willing challengers anymore.
  12. Too bad that the USA didn't make it to the world cup. Their only time in four years they take interest in soccer.
  13. The only relevant question to would-be citizens is: How much money have you got.
  14. Trump is breaking the records of how soon he is becoming a lame duck. On the other hand, a 9/11-scale terrorist-attack could change things after which there would be calls to unify behind the president.
  15. How did Nunavut come about? They obviously thought they needed an area of their own.
  16. The British are in an unenviable situation with an incompetent government at the helm but unelectable opposition as an alternative and with Brexit in the middle of negotiations of the most important event of the century. Would have been hard to think back in the 90's that someone could actually miss John Major as PM. He would be much better at negotiating a good deal than May will ever be.
  17. The Catalonian-crisis is a schoolbook-example how NOT to handle the situation. Concerns both sides of the argument.
  18. It would be interesting to know why this Catalonia-issue seems to have got most globalists on their backfeet in their vehement opposition to the very idea of an independent Catalonia. I can understand their feelings about Brexit and Trump which both were bitter defeats for globalists and both may have consequences for the rest of the world but why is Catalonia such an important issue that the globalists are willing to use their powder on? My only explanation to it is that the globalists detests any kind of nationalism and a birth of a new country is very much nationalism.
  19. Yes yes in formality but in reality what France and Germany agree between themselves is what happens.
  20. I checked out that before Mulroney there was 21 years (1963-1984) of Liberals in government. So, perhaps the only reason why he got elected was people's yearning for a change.
  21. Turkey can blackmail Europe with the refugees or reversely bribe Europe by stopping the flow of refugees into Europe.
  22. How on earth have peaceful buddhists which the vast majority of the Burmese people are have turned into such monsters as to drive out totally blameless muslims? I thought buddhism is all about peace and understanding.
  23. Aren't there many state-elections and governors' elections coming up in November? They may turn into referenda on Trump's presidency. Not my analysis. It was the analysis of the NPR who can't hide their dislike of Trump.
  24. I have become accustomed to foreign women covering their faces; I kinda don't pay any attention to them any longer. They are prisoners of their culture.' However, every time I see a white woman wearing the hideous muslim-veil it makes me shriek! It has increased a lot lately here in Finland. Not a day passes these times that I wouldn't see a white woman wearing that horrible piece of cloth. Why oh why?
  25. Liberia is a roaring success-story.
