I don't know whether this finding is because of one thing or another, but I do know this: The Canadian family is doing so badly in this department, our population is dwindling to such an extent, that our Government has been forced to allow huge amounts of immigration to stave off the repercussions they won't tell us about. A shrinking population that doesn't want to get married or start a family coupled with a baby boom generation that is set to retire and you've got trouble with a capital T.

What is it with this 'to each their own' nonsense? Some cultures have sacrificed their children to pagan gods. Some have regularly physically abused their kids and some sexually. To each their own gave dictators the time to get a firm grasp of a nation. No one is trying to put pressure on India. The point of this thread is not to put pressure on India, but to just say this practice is wrong. If you can't see that its wrong, then it's a good thing you have no children. Especially since you think that a baby can accurately sense when it should be scared.

I wasn't debating the part of your Global remarks where you said Falwell boasted of 200 running for office. Your statement that Falwell was the one person responsible for uniting the Republcans with the religious right, is wrong, even if Global said it. And Falwell's boast proved wrong as well. Again, Falwell hasn't been in anyone's face for a few years, so your comment was wrong. The leader of Iran is not a religious fanatic, wrong again.
