You never called it a statistical tie, which is what you are now calling a Tory 3 point lead in the strategic council poll. So, you are hypocritical. I believe the U.S., with their black ops, will land heavy blows on Iran, who will turn to those who dislike the U.S. for assistance. France, China, Russia, North Korea and others may all give assistance and draw the ire of the U.S., who could then respond with escalations of their own. This could be the next cold war which has already been joined by Muslim extremists and their sympathizers. It is not really good news. If Iran gets nukes, the game could be over, what with their proclivities regarding the Israel 'problem'.

Edit: It's coming back to me now, you spoke against religious practices on one thread and defended them on another. After I pointed this out, you claimed it was cultural, not religious. I then pointed out that the country in question had an 85% (give or take I can't remember exactly now) of Muslims, therefore it WAS religious. Because of this movement, most Christian nations now enjoy freedoms, not in spite of it. And whatever you think, at least you can see that Islamist nations are not free yet. Why, women are mere property, adulterers can get stoned and Christians go to prison in Muslim nations. Here, Muslims are free to worship.

You seem to have missed the point. The U.S., by having a separation of church and state 100s of yrs ago is hundreds of years ahead of Islamist states like Turkey. What they and we in Canada have is among the freest in the world. You are free to be gay, while in Islamist states you are not. Refute that if you can...

The separation of church and state was a founding tenet of the U.S. constitution, written up in part by Christians who saw the faults of the British Government, and wanted none of the same. why should you, an athiest, have any idea at all where theism belongs.
