  1. Good point, isn't it funny how the left just wants you to change the channel when something comes on that conservatives don't like, but when THEY don't like it they start a campaign to bring it down. Hypocrites.
  2. Why man?
  3. This is nonsense. Great Britian, a christian nation, became a great empire, using technology and science of the day. How about France? Spain? The U.S. is decidedly Christian, and has led the way in science the last 100 years. at any rate, the world will have to deal with Islam's followers who want world domination sooner or later. At the end of the day, whether the extremism comes from superstition or main stream Islam doesn't change the problem.
  4. This is the kind of fruity thinking that had the left lose the last 2 presidential elections. Most of the TV media is left, has leftwing agendas, and stifles anything else in their midst. Yet they don't admit their 'point of view' either, which is just fine with the commenter above. It's just Fox who he has a problem with. Then he throws in a Limbaugh comment, which is totally wrong since there has been an agenda to silence him as well. I hope someone starts a simillar campaign to monitor CNN, they are a lot farther away from the center than Fox.
  5. Yes, the U.S. would still have a surplus, thousands of dead soldiers would still be alive, Halliburton would only be making moderate profits, the environment would be on its way to recovery, the American dollar would be strong and not comparable to the peso, the U.S. would be safer from terrorism than it is now, and the empire would be growing rather than rapidly falling into the toilet. Your anti-American attitudes are kind of over-the-top though. They are largely a good country. You shouldn't celebrate their failures. What, all would have been reversed if Gore was in the White House? Put down whatever it is you are smoking.
  6. Iran definitely has a problem, and will be a problem in the future. They are informing the world by their actions that another evil empire is on the rise:
  7. And now Jazz has joined the 'goodbye cruel world' act, although he'll have quite a time of it to match figleaf's act of a fatally wounded man stumbling back and forth in death throes ad nauseum as the audience starts to wish he would finally keel over. To them, kuzzad and all the other whiners, here's a tip you never hear in liberal circles: Life. Ain't. Fair.
  8. If ever there was a group of people that needed to be keep far away from any reins of power, it's this group of self appointed 'elders'.
  9. Yeesh guyser, I think your half full glass is spilling over.
  10. In the last 20 years in my community, I know of 2 incidents where someone in christian leadership fell into sexual sin. Neither went in front of the congregation to use the every one is a sinner line. Neither one went in front of the congregation and asked for forgiveness. They lost their jobs, and their status as minister for a certain term. They also went into counselling. I will repeat that the sensationalizing you see in the media when a Jimmmy Swaggart falls is not the norm. The norm is when they have to pick up the pieces of a shattered life and if they are willing, God heals them.
  11. Kuzy sticks her foot in it like that quite often. Please don't consider all Canadians the same. The silent majority know the U.S. rocks, as do the millions applying for refugee status there every year. May I suggest another board to visit occasionally: Freedominion.
  12. Hey kuzy, I am not saying this guy is not a hyopcrite. He is one. It seems though you are not here to do anything but smirk and scoff while pretending to want to discuss the issue. That's fine, but do you have any response to my above comment? I'll repeat it for you: You seem to be saying most religious leaders are hypocrites, are you?
  13. I wonder if it is at all possible to supoort Canadian Caucasian culture and not be branded a fearmonger or white supremacist. Canada's population make-up is experiencing a rapid foundational change which will effect a reconstruction of Canada. It will never be the same. It will forever cease to exist as it was. Some say change is a good thing, and in may cases purposeful change has real benefits. But the change being brought about in the population IS NOT BEING DONE TO CHANGE THE POPULATION. This is a side effect of a desperate grasp at population growth. Our governments' solution to a shrinking population is to open the floodgates, and this is having many side effects. To say it is not, or these side effects are mole hills is to stick one's head in the sand. It seems that patriotism is at an all time low in Canada for there to be so little concern about this paradigm shift being brought about. The first step is to realize there is a problem.
  14. You mean Ontaria hasn't funded them thus far? Are these of the private variety with high tuition fees, or something else.
  15. That's bizarre. What are the reasons these Europeans are leaving? Their EU has made the whole greater than the sum of its parts, and European culture is envied, is it not? They're not leaving because of racial tension, are they?
  16. Funny you speak of the big picture, I was just thinking about it. The big picture is that for every Jim Baker there is 1000s of ministers who humbly go about their calling, being paid pretty much minimum wage in churches of under 100 members. They toil and bear the burdens of their congregation without complaint and get sick to their stomachs when a Jim Baker falls. These kind don't make the news, therefore people with a bias against all things God don't count them, only the christian commiting a crime.
  17. All forms of terrorism depend on finding a pool of recruits that believe they are a victim. Villifying a religion practiced by a billion people who are not suicide bombers, invading their countries and handing thier oil wealth over to foreign corporations is a excellent way to perpetrate this victim complex and ensure a steady supply of recruits. There are no easy solutions to the mess that exists now, however, it is pretty obvious that military force has failed in Iraq and will fail in Afghanistan. It is time to find a different way. I would submit that all forms of terrorism depend on much more than finding those who believe they are a victim, otherwise Canada would be rife with terrorism since 100s of thousands right now believe they are victims. Recent history shows us that American blacks never resorted to terrorism like Islamic terrorists, neither have gays, natives, or religious folk of any stripe. How all of these groups differ from Muslim extremists is they don't have a religion calling for Holy war and ministers calling for Jewish heads to be chopped off. It's a good thing then that Islam is not being villified. If it was, the situation might be ten times worse. As it is the Western media won't print anything that Muslims might be offended at. In comparison, they are critical of many other religions.
  18. Most think another 9/11 will happen, and if it does with the Dems in power, I believe we would see no better solution. Clinton was the U.S.'s last best chance, and he only let the problem grow, lobbing the occasional cruise missle at it.
  19. Clinton only won because that rascal Perot split the vote. And now the right has what's his name to split the left vote. Kingmakers come in all varieties I guess.
  20. Your mom got her treatments paid for? Damn it all. My mom just finished some and had to pay for accomodation. Five weeks and this in frickin Kelowna. Dad paid too since he wasn't about to let her go it alone. A wonderful system we have. She suffered something awful but there was no staying at the hospital even. And this is the shining example of a medical system for the Americans to follow? Hah. With taxes premiums and user fees, add line ups and jacked up out patient care.
  21. Here's a thought: instead of stuffing threads into one another to conserve space, why not delete outright some of the threads started by offenders who go nuts with the thread starting nonsense. For instance, at present in the Federal section, out of the most recent 20 threads, a full 10 are started by one person. A bit whacky if you ask me.
  22. are you for real? I never worried about "rebelling against my parents", do you? The only sensitive spot you have hit is your own bias, and narrow stereotypical thinking. You seem to relish in hitting it over and over, narrow stereotypical thinking. With another stereotype the rebelling teenager, they don't all do it, ya know? Oh never mind. Anyway back to topic, a question for you sharkman, what with a prevelance, of this kind of stuff amongst 'christians' hookers, male and female both, pedophiles, lying, fraud, drug addicts. Thinking of this do you think dysfunctional persons are attracted to chrisitianity , in this case, and use it as a front, to show a 'christian' public face, and behave badly, while hiding behind there religion? There seems to be quite a few nasty preachers out and about, quite a few. So, does chrisitanity attract deviant, dysfunctional people, who can then hide behind religion??? Hmm, you seem to have fallen into temptation, girl. Tsk, tsk, and after the sermon above and all. Or are stereotypes only right when leveled at religious folk?
  23. Since we are discussing hate speech here in our own back yard, I dug up an example aimed at the religious. I couldn't immediately find the original post, but found the one where Drea reaffirms her previous statement. Post 202 if it's not immediately obvious.Yikes! Oh, here's the original post. How's that for hate speech?
  24. Of all the things I said, my comments on music seem to have hit a sensitive spot. You're not still rebelling against your parents are you?
  25. I was a member of Rabble for a while and their spit drooling hatred of any conservative thought was actually scary. There were a few of us conservatives on that forum, and although the hate speech was ridiculous, as far as I know, no righties complained about human rights violations, although it was far worse than anything I've read on FD. But the part that gets me is that the offending content has not been revealed, at least to this point. And instead of investigating the person who apparently made the comments, they go after the forum. Your point about all being guilty for doing nothing is wrong. First, there is no grooming of discussion, it is simply the result of birds of a feather flocking together mostly having similar positions on issues of the day. Much like Rabble. And posters can't censor another's comments anymore than they can here.
