  1. I disagree. With computers, the ranked ballot system the computations are instant. Also with the ranked ballot system I believe that more people will cast votes. At this time, the voter knows that casting a ballot for someone from an obscure party is a wasted vote but their second choice will probably be counted as to getting somebody from one of the major parties over the 50% barrier. Their participation will be influential in the final decision.
  2. They all have to do with terrorists: A public school teacher was arrested today at John f. Kennedy international airport as he attempted to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a compass and a calculator. At a press conference just before noon today, attorney general holder said he believes the man is a member of the notorious Al-gebra movement. Although the man has not been identified, it was confirmed the man has been charged by he FBI with carrying weapons of math instruction. 'Al-gebra is a problem for us' the attorney general said. 'They derive solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in search of absolute values. They use secrets code names like X and Y and refer to themselves as 'unknowns' but we have determined that they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country. As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "there are three sides to every triangle." ' He went on to say, 'teaching our children sentient thought processes and equipping them to solve problems is dangerous and puts our government at risk!'
  3. A ranked ballot system is one kind of PR: http://www.123london.ca/howitworks The others: https://www.mtholyoke.edu/acad/polit/damy/BeginnningReading/PRsystems.htm
  4. Interesting process. Since bats eat mosquitoes, does bat feces contain the Zika virus?
  5. Please do not discourage Rue. Notwithstanding his verbosity, he does reinforce my posting on the dangers of Zionist thinking and acting in the Middle East. While I am able to post events that are occurring in Israel/Palestine, Rue's postings representing the Zionist rationale for these atrocities, explains why these atrocities are occurring. Thank you Rue.
  6. That is the kind of thinking that took them from a few thousand Sunni Iraqi soldiers who were fired by the Americans to the formidable world force which they are today. No wonder they are succeeding.
  7. What is your argument against a ranked ballot system?
  8. Now the USA has expanded its failed policy against ISIS into Libya: http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/08/warplanes-target-isil-libya-time-160801154026785.html
  9. I think that these two were just the run of the mill murdering scumbags - but they are continuing the ISIS long term strategy: 1. Savagely kill innocent people and make sure of world wide media coverage. 2. Outrage in the West, airplanes into Middle East to kill terrorists but killing a lot of civilians in process. 3. Relatives of dead civilians (collateral damage) and other Muslim fanatics race to Middle East to support ISIS. 4. New recruits more than replace terrorists killed in bombings and the numbers increase. 5. Go to 1. Looks like this Junior Varsity has created a loop which is causing absolute chaos in the Middle East and a refugee crisis affecting the whole world.
  10. I guess that 1.2 billion Catholics are mistaken?
  11. Perhaps you can choose one of these: Collective Terms
  12. I do not disagree - except - a law enforcement officer never shoots to disarm, hurt or main. They shoot to kill. They are also trained to shoot only to kill. Ergo, if a policemen shoots and the person is only wounded then either he/she is a bad shot or he/she should not have taken a shot in the first place.
  13. What if it is a party of enemies?
  14. The Trudeau government has decided to let the only true Canadians do the computations on the new fighter jet. Here is one during the process: Canadian Accountant
  15. Perhaps we should look to the past for the solution to these civil wars. Just let them do their thing: Stalemate
  16. Monday, September 26, 2016 First presidential debate Location: Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY The first debate will be divided into six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on major topics to be selected by the moderator and announced at least one week before the debate. 17. Actually the game is rougher than hockey but with less protection. I think the problem is that it is not an easy to watch on TV sport. You cannot see where the ball is when passed (ball is small and dark) and when player is carrying the ball you cannot see it. And that is rink Lacrosse. Field Lacrosse is even more difficult to follow because of the size of the field. If it is no good for TV is has little chance of getting popular.
  18. Watched a few local games. We live near to a Reserve and the sport is very popular there. About half the teams in the different leagues come from the Reserve - after all, they have been playing this game for a while.
  19. Two conflicting opinions. Am looking forward to the results.
  20. I am not making any claims. If you folks are looking for an argument then you are going to be disappointed. Your opinion is that this was a valid decision and will stand. My opinion is that it is a faulty decision and will be overturned and/or changed by an appeals court. Time will tell.
  21. Why then do you folks think that he shot that young man 6 times?
  22. Before the campaign began, I thought that the Democratic choice would win in a landslide. Now, I am more certain that the Democratic choice, Hillary Clinton, will be the next president of the USA in a landslide. I cannot see Trump carrying a single state.
  23. Some of my friends have children who are law enforcement officers. I know them all and I respect them all. They are not only good people but dedicated to their jobs. I believe that the vast majority are good people, dedicated and respected by most of the community.
  24. I am not defending the fact that it retrospect, that young man should not have been shot. What I am trying to state is that there has to be a negative motive behind a criminal act. You shoot and kill a person because they are holding a knife at the throat of a child to (what you believe is) to save a child's life. Someone is killed but there is no criminal act. The cop obviously made a major mistake. He did not know this guy, there is no evidence that he enjoys killing people or that he knew and/or disliked the victim. There is no evidence that the cop is mentally ill. It does not make any sense. For that reason I believe that an appeal will be granted and a very different sentence will be applied.
