  1. You're clearly in a fantasy land of your own... Opinions matter... and the majority have clearly said for years that they just don't like soundbite Pierre. That's not a slight, it's just fact.
  2. No, there are a number of people here I don't agree with that I haven't put on ignore. I put you on ignore because I have little time or desire to listen to your non-stop and typically argumentative 10 paragraph replies or comments. I'm glad you finally figured this out after the month or two it's been. Hopefully it'll save you the time of continuing to talk to yourself. Now, back to ignore... 👋
  3. People don't like the guy. Get over it. https://www.opinionsandratings.com/top-stories/pierre-poilievre-approval-rating-2025 Back to your fantasy land....
  4. We spent the money, too late. He's done nothing to address inflation other than tariff policies that raise it. You're good with that?
  5. Not many care if you use Uber Eats or not but Uber Eats and most every other business cares if they have people that want to work for them. Think about it for a minute... you're buying sh1t they're processing, packaging and delivering and if they're not there to do that you'll...go pick it up, or? In Canada too. What ever the federal and provincial income tax rates are is their fair share. Just like anyone else who earns taxable income in Canada. Also don't think they're getting any sales tax discounts on things they buy so they're paying that just like us. What government services are they bilking? What are you talking about funding activists... Small business employs about 11M people. That's a big deal. Read your posts. No it's not. It's about including everyone regardless of... You guys are just Trump's minions going with whatever the narrative is. Yes I support free speech, even if I don't agree with it.
  6. Obviously, it's a prerequisite of the job.
  7. You are, but then again you're not a business owner or responsible for staffing hospitals or schools or hotels or commercial properties or restaurants or retail or factories or transportation or so on... You've been outvoted.
  8. Pierre Poilivre Approval Rating: Latest Insights and Observations Pierre Poilievre has a 36% national approval rating and 58% disapproval, according to a recent Angus Reid Institute poll. Among Canadians aged 18–24, 65% hold an unfavorable view of Poilievre. For those aged 25–34, 62% also disapprove of his leadership. Negative perceptions extend to older demographics, with 55% of Canadians aged 35–54 and 57% of those 55+ expressing disapproval. Young men report 63% disapproval, while young women are close at 62%, showing similar levels of dissatisfaction across genders. Trust in Poilievre’s ability to “do the right thing” on the economy is limited, with only 44% of Canadians expressing confidence. Complete trust in his economic leadership is at 17%, while 30% completely distrust him, resulting in a 13-point trust deficit, particularly weak among Canadians aged 55+ (37% trust). Overall, Poilievre continues to struggle to connect with voters and gain widespread credibility on economic issues. At least he's consistent with his disapproval ratings... Those nice lessons don't seem to be working too well for soundbite Pierre 😂
  9. I can assure I didn't, and can't think of anyone else who said a 'massive 3rd world immigration' is good. You're sniffing too much horse sh1t at the barn...
  10. If you agree getting after the bad guys in a systematic manner then there needs to be some transparency to those people who will be getting after them, right... Someone appears to be against that now. I agree innocent people shouldn't be thrown under the bus, but many of the victims want transparency. I probably trust 'left wing lunatics' as much as you trust 'right wing lunatics'. There does seem to be a bipartisan acknowledgement for many though to get to truth once and for all. Trump is the one who used this rhetoric during his campaign and is being held to that by some of his base of supporters, as well as those on the opposite side. Could be an epic embarrassment and lifetime shame for some...
  11. I didn't and am not advocating anything other than what I briefly said in a 'Carney is failing' conversation.... 'it's not about promoting a person because of their identity, it's about including everyone'. I'm sure there are many examples of persons getting positions when they were not the best candidate, but I'm sure that also happens more often with the typical white male getting positions because of just that, being a white male. We all have our inherent biases don't we.... I sat through more DEI presentations and 'refreshers' than I care to remember and it was a basic principle in our organization. To me it was just an acronym for common decency and how we should treat people, but in my exposure to hirings and/or promotions DEI didn't mean you got the job or promotion because of colour, gender, age, etc....it was about hiring the best candidate and promoting based on the persons performance. I'm out of the business world now but if I wasn't it would be no different... hire and/or promote a person based on their ability or performance, not on their gender, colour, age, etc. If there were two people with essentially the same skill sets and they differed in colour, or gender, or age, etc, I'd hire the person best suited to whom they would be working with and where I felt the best fit would would be. Again, I didn't and am not advocating anything other than.... 'it's not about promoting a person because of their identity, it's about including everyone'. DEI remains part of the culture of many of the top companies in the world and I think that's a good thing.
  12. Because the thread is 'Carney is failing' and DEI was only a brief mention by both of us. I was championing everything...? It was a mention as to what DEI is about. Go back to your cricket channel spoonman...
  13. Whole post? You're confirming yet again you have difficulty with comprehension. I made one comment of DEI; 'So you're good with doing away DEI if it means companies don't recognize women, a persons age or disability? It's not about promoting a person because of their identity, it's about including everyone.' Care to point out in that where 'meritocracy' is said or even inferred?
  14. You're a waste of time. Can never answer a question that goes against your loving devotion to a world class narcissist and as always, the need to throw in nonsensical words. Carry on spoonman....
  15. Why do you think he doesn't want the files released?
  16. As with most of your posts, you make zero sense. Curious where I said or inferred meritocracy is an illusion.
  17. You assume I have a dog in this fight when you mention Clinton. Knowing his background, I wouldn't be surprised at all his name is there. And I'm not sure who 'my guy' is? If you're referring to Biden you obviously haven't noticed any of my comments of him. He's not 'my guy'. I'm interested to hear the answer from Trump who as you say 'blustered' about this to expose the 'deep state' yet now says it's a hoax. Why is that....? That's even after his AG said they had the 'list' sitting on her desk, only to say she misspoke, it was the files on her desk... Sure. Yours and others defence of a guy who 'blustered' this during his campaign and now say 'let's move on' is admirable. Ill guided in my opinion, but admirable nonetheless. If people are innocent they're innocent, if they're guilty they're guilty, regardless of their political or social status.
  18. I agree that whatever the numbers are there are too many murders. Not sure I follow that a city with a homicide rate of 15 per 100k isn't that much better a city with 45 per 100k. That math is pretty far apart. Wonder why he hasn't gone into these cities with the higher rates?
  19. Personally, I don't remember hearing or thinking much about it at all. I'm also Canadian and can't speak for US democrats. Why do you think Trump doesn't want the files released?
  20. I think we've already been through this... you tap out and change the narrative because you got nothing. Told you before, believe what you want. I'm okay if you want to think that.
  21. I'm not a Biden apologist. I don't think he was a strong president. Why do you think Trump doesn't want the files released?
  22. Sure, whatever a horse puckey is... I'll look up who came into office when Obama left. The name escapes me.
  23. No, it's because Canadian's are getting older and retiring from the workforce. We're having less kids and we're dying as we get older. Labour and people need to be replaced so that's why we need immigration. A wonderful part of the world but you have seasonal industries on the East Coast....fishing or tourism. I'm not convinced though that the guys collecting poggie are going to working at Tim Hortons or making up the rooms at the 4 Points. I don't know enough about how many people on welfare and what the conditions of it are though... You can use your wisdom learned to discuss with them but you can't tell a kid what they want to be, that's their choice. I'm not sure what kids are gravitating to these days but I'm sure many/most are looking to some sort of technology field, business related, trade related fields. Remember that what's hiring today may not be hiring tomorrow, and vice versa. I don't know a lot about those fields but thinking that an arts degree can you on a career path to be an artist, art teacher, graphic designer. Music degree might be an able to get you on a cheer path to be a musician or working in recording industry or the film and television industries. Doesn't matter, if a kid believes their skillset is more suited for whatever it may be and they want to make a 'career' of it let them do it. Worst thing that could happen is they realize that really wasn't what they wanted to do.
  24. It's a strong dislike rhetoric. Wonder why that bothers you?
