  1. Which doesn't have to do with liberals... it has to do with more wealth creation and the fact the world's largest and most profitable equities are US based. Why did more US money start coming to Canada after 2015?
  2. Let's see what the court says, if it even gets there... Why so defensive over a guy who's trying to break our economy?
  3. Because it's a weak case, which is why the original prosecutor declined to press charges and Trumps' real estate lawyer was brought in. Why so defensive about a guy who's trying to break our economy?
  4. All this shows is the wealth creation and more investment from the US to Canada and Canadian's investing more in equities in the world's largest economy. Your point is what? If we had a conservative government less people would be investing in US equities... not likely.
  5. What do you mean exemption? Prosecutors allege she saved $18,933 ($600 per year) through this "misrepresentation", including by securing a lower interest rate. This will be thrown out of court, if it even gets there... For a Canadian who complains daily about the state of our country, you sure do step up in defence of the guy who's been trying to break our economy. Most would say that's being hypocritical...
  6. It could be $8.33 and the red hat minions would still be crying foul and to throw her in jail...
  7. Investment has always been weighted to the US markets. Maybe you should CPP a note saying you'll forfeit a percentage of your benefit as a show of support?...for what I'm not sure. Poilievre had investments there until Trump started his rhetoric... was that different?
  8. Correct, it's not a crime at all. It's just an embarrassment that the POTUS is the one being petulant. How do you find a direct comparison of 'petulance' between a multi-billion dollar company embellishing real estate values for more favourable loans to a $18,933 savings on the value on a personal mortgage IF in fact it even gets to court or is even found guilty?
  9. Words of peace from a 'live and let live' kinda guy... Well done 😂
  10. Sure, either that or private money investing in equities that are in the world's largest economy. What does that have to do with Liberals, NDP or Cons? You are aware that CPP (your money) has 47% of their portfolio in the US right... and was even investing there back in the old days when we had a Conservative government.
  11. You're assuming James is guilty of bank fraud without this even getting to court... which it may not. Your guy was liable though... as two courts found. There has never been a president as petulant as this guy... not even close.
  12. I think your leap into China, crime, drugs and immigration isn't the reason a deal hasn't been agreed to. It's far more likely that the economics of trade in various sectors is the reason. Not following how critical materials are unprofitable if the government recently announced two (SK and BC) that have private sector mining company proponents.
  13. I struggle to see how Carney is bowing to him when he hasn't agreed to a deal yet. Logically you'd have to assume the US has put proposals forward and logically you'd have to assume we've said 'no thanks, but what about this' over and over again. How do you think your hero would have handled it so far?
  14. You're still missing it... The appeals court reminded the fine but still found him liable (in other words guilty). Once a shyster always a shyster.
  15. Then I guess two courts of law got it wrong... The charges have nothing to do with the government...she's charged with one count of bank fraud and one count of making false statements to a financial institution. He's a petty man that embarrasses the country.
  16. A multi-billion dollar company overstating it's assets to secure more favourable loans is a bit different than someone benefitting $18,933 IF in fact they're even guilty. The appeals court just recinded the fine but still said he was liable. He's s a shyster.
  17. They didn't support it the first time, and doesn't sound like they support it this time.
  18. Where is the talk from other provinces...that's my point. Maybe there is but I don't hear/read a lot about. I understand the politics but still surprised not more. Yeah, I see the coal trains often. I'm not an Eby supporter but they have a number of ways to try and block it. I'd be real surprised if push came to shove and he actually did...but this is a hypothetical only, there's no investor/s.
  19. Good leaders engage all stakeholders...whether they like them or not. Just another example of why this guy isn't likeable.
  20. 1. SHE brought a case against him that he was found liable for... by the original judge and then an appeals court. SHE got away with it. He's just going to further embarrassed. 2. I've never trusted demon cultists, but will be very interesting to see what voters think.
  21. What... I'm aware she's a woman. A judge and then an appeals court found him liable. That's not her fault.
  22. Prove that what does? If you mean an embarrassment that's objectively obvious. You have a point there... There were facts of guilt and charges against the orange one though. Sounds like weak charges here... and just another day in the life of a wannabe dictator.
  23. So he doesn't have a deal with a guy who changes his mind and mood daily...why so surprised. Why do you think it's a failure to not agree to all of Trump's wants...which I'll assume is why this is dragging on. I don't think Carney's pushing back for less, do you? Why haven't you figured out that Carney didn't offer anything? He was referring to private investment and suggested it could get to $1T to stroke Trump's ego. He offered nothing.
  24. So you're good with petty political retribution from a POTUS...your choice. It doesn't sound like either case has much to them and won't stand up. It's an embarrassment...
  25. No, it's petty retribution... Failing in either or both cases will only send more embarrassment his way.
