He's a very seasoned businessman who's only filed for business bankruptcy 6 times....and casino's to boot. Think about that... In only one of many positions that dealt with vast finances Carney was chair of a company managing $660B in assets so help me understand 'not in the same league'? Your idolizing of Trump and obliged playbook of slamming Carney lacks no substance at all, but is filled with hypocrisy. Rooting for one guy and slamming the guy he's trying to screw makes little sense... don't you think. I'll assume you haven't negotiated a lot in your life or career. You do not agree to a deal if it's not in your best interests regardless of any so-called timeframes. The longer it goes without a deal only tells me that a deal acceptable to Canada isn't on the table. So be it.... wait until one is.

Meanwhile, back in reality... The Federal energy minister said; The president of an organization representing First Nations along British Columbia's north coast says it won't support a new bitumen pipeline. Hodgson said Thursday that Ottawa would act as a “constructive participant” in conversations between Alberta and B.C. but suggested that the pipeline proposal is still in its early stages. “Alberta has some work to do … until they bring their proposal in 2026, it’s a hypothetical question,” Hodgson said. What's happened since the TMX pipeline is the $34.5B price tag to taxpayers which is why private investment needs to be found. There is validity to Eby's argument that pitching a pipeline before a proponent has been found threatens community support and social licence that would allow other major projects along the provincial coast to move forward. Like clockwork Poilievre has to chime in and remind everyone why they didn't vote for him - Poilievre pointed out that the approval for such a pipeline is wholly within the jurisdiction of the federal government and Eby is “well worth ignoring.” Good leaders engage all stakeholders. Poor leaders ignore stakeholders when they don't align with their thinking. Today's example of why Poilievre will never lead this country. Your playbook page of WEF globalist, climate activist and anti-energy lacks the substance of facts when LNG projects are being approved and the Keystone pipeline floated by Carney to Trump the other day. That doesn't appear to be anti-energy... Are you of the belief that the only definition of Canada being an energy superpower is the northern gateway pipeline?

So what you're saying is... 'yes, you sign a deal regardless if bad because a date was set'. I'm not sure most would agree with that... What particular part of his resume are you uncomfortable with in this inability to make the right deal for Canada... Is it his lack of economic background, no business background, or something other tells you he's out of his league?

You listen to angry Pierre too much... He promised nothing. What he said was that we have half a billion in investments in the US right now and if they get a deal and back on the relationship track more private Canadian investment will follow. We have $675B in US equity and debt securities investment today. That's private investment, not government investment. I'll assume even soundbite Pierre knows what private investment means, but hey, it gives him something to talk about.

So you mean he's kind of doing what Smith has been doing.... Crying that it's not fair the federal government hasn't supported them (which I don't disagree with). They're both playing politics which is what politicians do. What is Carney supposed to 'step in' about with Eby? Smith is just 'testing the waters' to see if private investment will step up if provincial and federal restrictions could be changed. The prudent thing to do would be for the special projects office to have discussions with private investment saying 'if we did this, would you invest'... which I'm guessing has happened in some fashion. Otherwise going down the road of pissing BC residents off and court challenges doesn't make any sense if private investment isn't interested. The proposed pipeline and lifting of tanker ban does not have the support of the Coastal First Nations whose land it would be on. https://www.indigenouswatchdog.org/update/bc-first-nations-promise-renewed-resistance-to-smiths-pipeline-plans/

I've never said that Canadian's shouldn't be angry about some things. What I have said is that's all people like you have....be angry every day and b1tch about the same things. I'm not happy about a lot of things either but we just had an election where voters elected the guy they wanted to get the country back on track. I think he's the right guy and am going to give him time. You don't like the results so you continue to b1tch. Your choice... Not sure what democrats have to do with anything? I think what's happening in the US is worrisome and disappointing to see, but end of the day I'm Canadian so what they do doesn't have a direct impact on me. lol... 'Right now I want to you to explain to me how Pierre is the "angry politician" of our times?' Google it...

CPP has $342B / 47% of assets invested in the US. Canadian investment is ~$675B in US equity and debt securities. What exactly does that have to do with 'elbows'?

Yeah, I think Carney understands what's at stake... I don't know why Keystone was brought up but think about it.... Likely done to provide some leverage in lessening tariffs, placates Smith and AB, and takes the northern gateway project off the table and inevitable pissing match with BC and FN's. Smith continues to talk highly of Carney. Not so much of little Pierre; "If you go to the U.S. and say, 'You should do this because it helps me or you should stop doing this because it hurts me,' that is not his love language. His love language is, 'Let me tell you how I can make America even greater,'" Smith said. Trump is "a relationship guy," Smith said, and he prefers to work with people he likes and his apparent fondness for Carney is a possible benefit to getting these irritants resolved. "We should be cheering the prime minister on. We want him to have a good personal relationship," she said. Smith said Carney is "putting some credits in the bank account, which is going to get us further."

No, Carney has infinitely more acumen and tact than to threaten cutting funding to BC because of Smith's desires to 'test the waters'. That's an angry Pierre move... play tough guy with water wings on. Everyone loves money but FN's also love their pristine land. Been down this road and they don't want it. What happens now, who knows but guessing the Keystone rival talk will placate Smith for a while. She don't care if a pipeline goes west, east, north or south.

No wonder you support the clueless and angry Pierre... It's all making sense now 😂 Still, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre said Carney "pathetically" offered up "a trillion-dollar gift" to Trump when speaking with the president Tuesday, and it was an instance of him "bowing before the president in weakness." Poilievre said Carney sold out Canadian workers by touting possible investments like this. "Where in his platform did he promise to give a trillion of our investment dollars to the Americans?" Poilievre asked in question period. A seemingly exasperated Carney sighed and said: "I would like to inform the leader of the Opposition that there's a thing called the private sector. The private sector makes decisions about investment" — a jab at Poilievre's long parliamentary career.
-
Typical nothing response... It has everything to do with Pierre for you. No deal means we haven't agreed on the right deal for Canada. Is that really hard to understand? Of course it is for you.... Other than having a resume at the most senior positions two central banks, Goldman Sachs, Bloomberg and Brookfield in which he was responsible for finances and 'deals', he can't compete with the paperboys and phone collectors resume. You swallow every bit of what Poilievre and Trump shoots your way....and no doubt happily.

They probably calculate quality of life as they outlined at the very top of the report; Quality of Life Beyond the essential ideas of broad access to food, housing, quality education, health care and employment, quality of life also may include intangibles such as job security, political stability, individual freedom and environmental quality. Through all phases of life, these countries are seen as treating their citizens well.

His AG spent yesterday trying to protect his ass by not answering questions from senators. They guy is hiding something... Fact or fiction if true or not but one senator asked about rumour that pics of Trump and 'half naked' young women were found in Epstein's home. She didn't answer that question... or many others for that matter.
