  1. What wars are being cut off at the knees? I can think of one that he's trying to start domestically...but none he's 'cut off at the knees'. You lost your ability to differentiate the truth from a lie when you joined the Maga cult. It's only 9 months but has felt like 9 years. This presidency is not going to end well...
  2. Evidently I didn't... but did look at a few lines and said 'whatever'. It's simple math. We're an aging population with a quarter of our workforce over 55 y/o and retiring. We're also having smaller families meaning less future contributors to our economy. That's not sustainable and why we need immigration.
  3. At the cost of keeping our economy sustainable.
  4. Why would I cry... just sayin I agree 'Brandon' wasn't a consequential president. This new guy will for sure be consequential for many reasons and none of which will be known throughout history as good. Call him better than 'Brandon' if you like, but he's still utterly incompetent.
  5. Nope, your boy has that title from the first time around and this time, he will without a doubt cement that well deserved embarrassment in perpetuity.
  6. Deluginal... why do I need to remind you of the subject you brought up then avoided?
  7. That's easy.... Biden, senility and all. Consider since Trump's first 9 months - perpetuating political divisiveness for his benefit, alienating decades long allies, ignoring court orders around deportation, using the military domestically to satisfy his ego, inflation ticking upwards, unemployment ticking upwards, -800,000+ job losses, job losses in manufacturing, wholesale trade and construction, and the daily embarrassment he brings onto the country. Otherwise, he's awesome....
  8. In my lifetime, there has never been a president even remotely as incompetent as this guy. His lack of morals, decency and intellect are truly astonishing. Stupid doesn't even come close to describing him accurately. His speech was another embarrassment for the country, but that's become commonplace so water off a ducks back. He calls his incoherent rambling 'the weave'. Phycologists call it dementia.
  9. Yep, lots of people are beaten up about immigration right now but like the guy in the article said, we need immigration to support our aging population and sustain our economy. Timing isn't good for those newcomers and a lot of other people but we need them.
  10. And then who comes waddling out... the man of the hour. An ex-news guy telling seasoned military leaders how to win.... really, that's funny if it wasn't so off-side They both play politics with people who are supposed to be apolitical in their jobs... that wasn't very bright. All in all another epic embarrassment for the wannabe dictator.
  11. You're hopelessly lost in Magaland... Can't stick to the subject and admit you're a chauvinist so you go down the road of transgenders....one of the great pressing social issues of our time. Do you spend much of your day, or maybe nights thinking about them?
  12. Absolutely, that would be the ideal solution to this situation they're in so long as Canadian bidders come forward and everyone is on board with inevitable much higher costs.
  13. Of course they could be. With a much higher cost and time period before they receive....with both BC ferries and the province not being able to afford either. You said it...these ships are breaking down and need to be replaced. Waiting a decade for a Canadian built ships isn't going to work, especially for the people who depend on this transportation. Again, I agree that ideally the ships are built in Canada, but that doesn't appear to be the reality right now.
  14. I don't think spending whatever it takes regardless of cost is the answer. It's not realistic to think a company can just go out and build the needed infrastructure, and then go wherever it may be in the world to bring in skilled labor to build ships and be aware of responsible costs at the same time. The Chinese bid was ~$1.2B less than the European bid and BC ferries expects to save ~$650M in interest over the terms of the loan. No Canadian bids because they knew they couldn't be competitive with union labor and the final price. BC needs updated ferries as soon as possible, not 10 years or more from now.
  15. Lose the trans talk shit mor0n... It's one of the few things you have in Maga world but it isn't applicable here, except in your little mind. Yes, which are you? "Women should be in the home' sure sounds chauvinistic to me, as it would most women. You believe women aren't capable, so why is it that there are as many serving in the military doing the same thing men are? If it's hand to hand combat I agree, women are ill suited for that but guess what, hand to hand combat is not applicable in war any longer.
  16. Seems to be working just fine with the US trade deficit increasing $18B in July to $78B.
  17. The same schtick.... can't answer a question so you need to turn the tables, and with a totally asinine 'question' to boot... I know exactly what a woman is. I have a mother, wife, daughter and 2 granddaughters in my life so I'm well versed on what a woman is. Obviously you're not sure.... ask your Mom tonight.
  18. So explain then how Trump is right and other persons with financial ties outside their country are wrong.
  19. lol... You are the poster child of explaining how Trump got as many votes as he did 😂
  20. Ahhhh.... doesn't apply to him, just everyone else. Got it.
  21. You got nothing Deluge....sweet f'all. You being a chauvinist or misognyst has nothing to do with 'TDS'. Most likely has to do with your upbringing... If you'd like to talk about your cult hero, let's... I find the irony of today priceless, don't you? The make-up and depends wearing tough guy talked about the US military being so bad ass that men only need apply. This comes from someone who avoided the military draft 4 times because of college (he obviously learned nothing) and just as he was set to graduate, a serious case of bone spurs mysteriously developed that gave him a 5th deferment. My guess is that a woman would have powered through that supposed ailment a lot easier than Corporal Bone Spurs did... What do you think?
  22. I don't at all disagree that ships for BC ferries should be built in Canada, but fact is they don't have the bandwidth to build them any time soon and up to a decade or more out. As a resident in one of the BC coastal communities that depends on the ferries you'd be okay living with the delays and cancellations because of the aging fleet for another 10 years or more right?
  23. Your constant complaining is far more pathetic.... If we had the available capacity, yes they should have. Not a perfect world though so explain what BC ferries should have done when they received no quotes from domestic shipbuilders and need to replace ships in an aging fleet that has/is causing travel disruptions for an essential service. Any ideas or just easier to complain?
