No, pathetic is switching gears in a conversation to something irrelevant to the topic when the facts go against your original claims.

Yes, really... Investing.com -- The share of US-manufactured passenger vehicles imported to Canada has fallen to a historic low of 36% during the first 10 months of 2025, according to Statistics Canada data. This represents a significant decline from the 49% average maintained during the previous decade, continuing a downward trend that began in the 1990s when US-made cars represented 70% of Canadian passenger vehicle imports.

Minion... Yes Harper. Your typical anti-liberal shit didn't play well after you learned it was actually Harper who signed the regulations you said we're a joke. Minion...

Well if you want to think about, a serious challenge for your mind, yes it would be doom and gloom if we kept going down the same path. When the end would come, who knows.... Fortunately fools like you are immensely under-qualified to be in any sort of forward thinking or decision making discussions. -
lol... your usual comeback when you realize you got nothing. It was the Harper thing that fùcked everything up for you wasn't it. Minion.... 😂

Ground Invasion of Iran?

1 hour ago, John Stone said: regime change? Absolutely it's time for a regime change! Trump and his band of equally unqualified id!ots have proven to be monumental failures in this war, foreign relations, and domestic policies....it's time to go. It's also time for some politicians to grow a spine and do their part in getting this useless POS out of office. -
Sure there is.... SA is the wealthiest country in the ME and thinking they need nuclear weapons with the never ending turmoil on the region. Trump and administration (moreso Witcoff and Kushner) don't care as long as they get to profit from SA arrangements. I'm relaxed with lots of time.... Trump, not so much.

You don't understand a lot do you.... American vehicles are imported and sold into Canada. The Canadian who buys the vehicle that from X manufacturer is paying for those added tariff costs the manufacturer passes on. Anything about this that's over your thick little head?
-
You're clearly oblivious.... Pull more shit out of your uneducated ass fool. NA sales have fallen but global sales are increasing, and NA manufacturers are still investing in their EV side of the businesses but at a slower pace.

Correction... it's you and your fellow fools who on-queue go to the playbook and spout the 'where is the evidence of doom and gloom' whenever climate changed is mentioned. Nobody says it's doom and gloom except you clowns. Is it the need to deny science, or just because...? -
Follow the bouncing ball.... The original convo is quality and costs to meet fuel regulations. Fxx starts babbling about everything, AG is talking battery plants and subsidies, and now after learning that Harper was the one who signed the Canadian gas emissions regulation that you thought was a joke you jumped to Biden's EV mandates. I'm guessing you're done with Harper's stewardship of the environment, right...? As far as Biden goes... It was the right idea but the requirements didn't meet the time frame reality of what the consumer wants and/or can afford. There's no doubt EV's will be the dominant selling vehicle in another 5 years or less. When they'll be mandated who knows, but manufacturers are and will continue down the EV path.

But that's free speech. If there were two people on the street corner chanting the hate and one of them was one of those jihadi types and the other white, you'd say the jihadi guy is subject to deportation but the white guy isn't. That doesn't sound right... Doesn't matter what side there's too much political violence and/or hard core ideology from both the left and right, which is to be expected when the US has a president who thrives on creating that division. Actually, you're wrong on 'I think real hatred is stronger on the left' though... those with left wing ideology were a lot less likely to engage in violent or radical behaviour than the right wing. Made sense to me.

So, now what is your point....EV sales have slowed. Okay, I get that. The fact remains we'll have 2 EV battery plants up and running that will be employing people. This is a problem....why?
-
I'd think it's more 'un-Canadian' to not let people have the right to free speech. I don't agree with people openly chanting that stuff but they have the same rights we do. Funny you say this.... I see countless pages of 'I hate Canada', 'I hate libs', 'I have lefties', 'I hate Carney', or other variations of.... Is that different and if so, why? Now, if you want to deport some of these mor0ns here I'm all for that conversation 👍

If you weren't compelled to jump into every conversation and/or took the time to think before you type you'd realize the comments were costs incurred by auto manufacturers. It's spot on though isn't it....
-
Yeah, only ~2M sell annually in NA, 11M in China and over 1M in Europe.... Obviously no tech in those vehicles. I understand your rightwing schtick, but try not to be so fùcking stupid with every comment you make....
-
Fùck are you stunned! 😂 I have no idea how old you are and don't really care but if you're anything older than 12 I'm amazed you've survived this long... It's always bullshìt and propaganda if it doesn't fit your abstract view of the world. What a jackass... 😂

It appears your buddy is in the real small percentage that don't like their EV.... The vast majority of Canadian EV owners love their vehicles, with 97% stating they will purchase another one in the future. Owners report high satisfaction with driving performance, lower operating costs, and convenience, despite concerns regarding public charging infrastructure, winter performance, and high upfront prices. CAA National +2 Key Findings on Canadian EV Ownership: High Satisfaction: Approximately 89% of Canadian EV drivers enjoy driving their electric cars more than previous gas vehicles, and 95% believe they are more affordable in the long run. Adoption Rates: While overall interest has softened somewhat from 2022 peaks, roughly 12% of Canadians now own an EV, and interest remains, especially with younger consumers and those considering more affordable options. Charging Concerns: The biggest barrier for potential buyers is the "sticker price" or higher upfront cost, followed by limited charging infrastructure. Regional Differences: Interest is strong in provinces with higher rebates, but concerns remain high about driving range and battery performance in cold weather. Market Shifts: Consumers are looking beyond Tesla to traditional brands like Hyundai, Kia, and Ford, and there is growing openness to lower-cost Chinese EVs.

Yes, I'm aware of all that which is what was said earlier. Sorry to disagree with your usual uneducated comments but.... EV's will be the future. The tech is already there and will continue to evolve. Hybrids are that bridge today. I gather you still drive a 78 Ford F150...

Call it WDS - Windows Derangement Syndrome
LinkSoul60 replied to herbie's topic in Health, Science and Technology
If these people are using for word processing I can see why they 'just have to have windows'. Had windows from the beginning with both personal and business desk and laptops and always found it to be real user friendly, which may be because it was the only OS I knew. I've had a Mac for ~4 years now and I still pause and/or have to look up how to do some tasks...which are nowhere near as often as I did when I was working. Love it for the basic web browsing I use it for and have MS 360 for email/excel/word but if I still had the need for business use, I'd be using windows for sure.
