The Climate Crisis is a global scam
LinkSoul60 replied to Reg Volk's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
You sound like a lawyer.... To be clear, yes I agree with all that. -
I look at the gas mileage requirements like I look at seat belts. Both are a real good idea. The US signed law last year saying they won't enforce those mileage requirements but there is no way manufacturers are going to add more cost into a vehicle in the name of quality if there isn't a payback. A safe guess that gas mileage is and will always be one of the deciding factors in buying a vehicle to the vast majority of consumers. It's way beyond the auto industry though. I think most every manufacture in most every sector looks to build and provide the best value product, not the best product.

When did I ever say anyone should be impacting women in their own space? A bad analogy.... No, I don't care where you got the crisis thing from but it didn't come from me or anything I've seen out here. I think you get hung up on a narrative that you think applies to anyone who is on the left side of centre and run with that. -

I don't recall you talking about vaccines but yes, I assumed you were anti-vax because of other positions. I'm pro-vax because of undeniable good vaccines do in saving lives. That said I'm also pro-choice so if you choose not to get vaccinated don't. I am though of the opinion that if you choose not to get vaccinated and you work in close proximity to vulnerable persons (hospitals, long term care, etc), then you've forgone your right to work in that position. That's just my opinion which I'm fully aware that some don't agree with.... I also understand that although it's a very small percentage of people who get vaccinated adverse reactions happen. To the degree of your ex....that is very rare, and heartbreaking. Lol... I know you're not a 'kook'.... A bit of a 'wackjob' with strong opinions of anything 'left', but harmless enough 😄 -
Exactly... Trump's policies changed the previous administration's 4 years of policies and essentially 80 years of an integrated cross-border supply chain. You can bet as sure as you're sitting there that if the US does have a Democrat administration the next time around the policies Trump put in place will be wiped away in short order. That does nobody good....business or consumers.

Try to keep up jackass.... nowhere have I or anyone else here that I'm aware of said it's a crisis. It's a concern for the longevity of our planet that we need to address and deal with, which the world is doing. -

I agree. Men should not be playing women sports. I also agree that men or women for that matter shouldn't be allowed in restrooms that are not designated for them. I've mistakenly walked into women's restrooms a couple times and have also been in all gender restrooms. Got a couple sideways looks in the women's room but women and men alike in the all gender with nobody looking over their shoulder seemed normal to me. Okay....that's all I got so we're done, right! -
You have no idea what you're talking about do you.... I said I don't care whether you believe I ever voted conservative or not and you go off on a 'Ive spent a great deal of energy trying to convince people' and my 'opinion isn't based on facts'..... WTF....saying I have voted conservative is not an opinion jackass, it's a comment. I'd say get smart....but it's too late for you.

It is what it is.... a chat forum with many and varied opinions from many and varied persons. Like most things in life something grabs your attention for a little while then you move on to something else that grabs your attention. Condolences for your loss. Life isn't fair sometimes and 43 is far too young... -

Even for you that is a monumentally stupid comment.... After the shooting we had in BC a talk radio show I was listening to was talking about this and people of your simple mind skills going on about trans being more prone to mass murder than others. I could be and probably am off slightly in the %'s but the facts are that trans account for ~1% of the population while trans connected murders is ~0.5%. Using your mindless comments, I'd be far more worried about a white guy killing someone than I would a trans. -

Listen jackass.... We can play semantics all day long if your little mind likes but I have far better things to think about that humouring you. Crisis, concern, alarming.... you choose a word that makes your little mind happy and run with it. The fact remains that the climate change is real and impacting our lives. That's fact and not debatable. -

There has been nothing 'knee jerk' about my comments or points. You and your rightwing crowd are very predictable so the conversations and comments from them are generally the same wash, rinse and repeat. Funny you say that.... Last October-ish I got bored with the same old day in day out comments of 'look what the liberals did' or 'it's Trudeaus fault' so I didn't visit again until two or three weeks ago. Your crowd does make me laugh sometimes though but at some point, I'll get bored again and take another long break from the forum. It's a needed brain-cleanse from the never ending nonsense. I highly recommend it.... -

Here. No go find another sandbox to play in.... Yes, since 2022, and with a significant acceleration in 2025, there has been a coordinated, multi-pronged effort in the United States to restrict and rescind rights for transgender people at both state and federal levels. According to 2025-2026 reporting, these actions have targeted gender-affirming care, identity documentation, public accommodations, and legal recognition. Wikipedia +2 Key Actions and Restrictions (2025-2026): Federal Policy Reversal: Following his inauguration in January 2025, President Donald Trump signed executive orders targeting transgender individuals, including a directive defining sex as binary and fixed at birth, reversing federal recognition of transgender identities. Healthcare Bans: As of late 2025, over half of U.S. states have passed laws banning or restricting gender-affirming care, particularly for minors. On June 18, 2025, the Supreme Court ruled in United States v. Skrmetti that bans on gender-affirming care for minors are constitutional. Military Service: In 2025, the Trump administration barred transgender individuals from military service and initiated the discharge of currently serving transgender personnel. Identification Documents: Federal policy now restricts the ability of transgender people to obtain passports with accurate gender markers, removing the "X" marker option and requiring passports to match sex assigned at birth. Several states, including Florida and Texas, have also restricted or banned changing gender markers on driver's licenses. Education and Sports: Federal and state actions have moved to restrict transgender students from participating in sports teams matching their gender identity and have implemented policies restricting the use of chosen names or pronouns in schools. Public Accommodations: Several states have passed laws restricting access to restrooms and locker rooms in public facilities based on sex assigned at birth. HRC | Human Rights Campaign +6 While many of these policies are being challenged in court and some have faced temporary blocks, the overall trend has been a significant rollback of protections, with 2025 marking a record year for anti-trans legislation considered and passed. So what you're saying is that when US policy and auto industry decided to go down the EV path 5 years ago we should have just said 'no thanks' then.....right? Are you capable of commenting on ANYTHING without blaming the liberals? I'm curious....

No shit! You wackjobs have been going at me non-stop while I've been watching another day of the markets declining. Not sure if that's a fair trade-off or not.... Don't confuse 'anger' with the sarcasm that is directed towards yourselves. The last thing your crowd does is anger me. Shaking my head and laughing in disbelief is a more accurate analogy. -

I'll humour your little mind.... Yes, you are correct that I don't know about how women and girls 'are impacted by trans men in their spaces' because in all my years I've never heard the complaint or concern from the women in my life. I guess maybe they or I just don't get around enough.... -

Come on man.... seriously, I don't want to talk about transvestites. If it will shut you up and get you thinking of another topic just go back to what I said about their rights and what the some are doing to take those away. Enough said....move on. -
I had to hold my nose while doing it (Scheer), but the last time I did was in 2019 😉 Hell, your once conservative dominant province is quickly heading that way.... so don't be the last one to have an epiphany.

You're too fûcking stunned to think outside your bird cage anyway so don't look for the data, you'll be happier.... I always got a kick out of this quote if only for its accuracy.... “How sad it must be - believing that scientists, scholars, historians, economists, and journalists have devoted their entire lives to deceiving you, while a reality tv star with decades of fraud and exhaustively documented lying is your only beacon of truth and honesty." – Neil deGrasse Tyson -

We weren't talking about vaccines DF. Why are you incapable of finding the easily accessible climate data yourself? -
Okay.... and the point is what? Yes, common knowledge EV sales are not what the industry thought they would be and have/are pivoting accordingly. You're spot on by saying the removing of subsidies and buyer rebate incentives attributed to the sales decline in the category, but what do you think would happen if the next US administration thinking is similar minded to the Biden administration auto policies?
