After unraveling your twisted syntax I can tell you he said nothing of the kind. -
Trump Carney: First Oval Meeting

But the right-wingers would rather nurse their hate and grievances than hope for the country to do well. -

You don't get irony either. You're free to leave. -
Should someone unelected lead a political party?

Honestly, I think you are lacking in knowledge of how irony works. -
What happens next to the Conservative Party?

In another possible scenario the far right splinters off then we have 2 parties on the left and 2 on the right. There might be another Preston Manning out there. -

So short-sighted. Renewables will outpace fossil fuels within 20 to 30 years and no one will want Alberta's dirty oil. What then?

Just want to make sure people read your gracious, loving, intellectual comments.

What happens next to the Conservative Party?

So where did they get their new votes in Ont? When Liberals do it they're" borrowing votes", but when Conservatives do it, what - they're magical new votes? -

Only partially true. All those voters who feared Trump could have gone to Polievre if they'd wanted, but they didn't. If I were a conservative I'd be advocating for a new leader. -

Totally agree. I went through the same thing. 20 years of a low income job, side gigs, anything to feed the family and pay the mortgage. Lots of sacrifices but worth it. -
169 when a majority is 172? Sounds like a huge minority to me (and an oxymoron to boot)

You're a bitter little man. I take back that back. You're not a man.

So PeePee is losing an election he should have won. His party is already muttering and blaming him. Conservative premiers Ford and Houston won't endorse or even be seen with him, pointedly defining themselves as 'Progressive Conservatives". Poilevre is desperate, even trying to hide his policy of 'weeding out Wokeness". Maybe if they'd had a better candidate... maybe if PeePee had been able to read the room and adapt, maybe if he'd listened to advice, ... it looks lkie the CPC is basically a regional party of western grievances. Their only hope is to morph back into a national party again, what they might have been if dumbass Peter Mckay hadn't given away the store to the Alliance . Even if they are capable of doing that, it will still take a couple of election cycles to compete again. When Pierre Poilievre Realized that he'd never Be Pm he sat down and cried The polls all said no way The voters yelled 'Go 'way His campaign just rolled over and died Of course if a miracle happens on Monday I submit myself for your ridicule. You can pile on now, I'm gonna go do some yardwork.

Forget about straws for a minute. Think about cheese slices. Americans eat about 16 lbs of 'American cheese' a year. Some of that will be in spreadables, some in industrial blocks, but I'm guessing about half will be cheese slices, individually wrapped. (Think of all the burgers and sandwiches every day) A package of slices (just under a pound) has 22 slices. That's 23 pieces of plastic per package. So 8 x 23 x 340,000,000 = about 60,000,000,000 pieces of plastic a year. Thin plastic that breaks down into micro plastics that end up in the soil and the water, then in our foods. Even if my math isn't perfect, you get the point. I believe New York State has already taken one stab at banning them. Other jurisdictions will too. A ban can't come soon enough.
