Where is that happening? Because our economy is not great right now, you think someone in Canada is "bankrupting Canadian women and starving out Canadian children"? Can you quote where I said anything even close to that? You reverting to Straw Man arguments doesn't help your case. Mirror, mirror. Sounds just like Trump's pathetic insults. Are you a 'stable genius' too?

More of your twisted bullsh!t. https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/health-services-benefits/medical-assistance-dying.html "Eligibility: Grievous and irremediable medical condition To be considered as having a grievous and irremediable medical condition, you must meet all of the following criteria. You must: -have a serious illness, disease or disability -be in an advanced state of decline that cannot be reversed -experience unbearable physical or mental suffering from your illness, disease, disability or state of decline that cannot be relieved under conditions that you consider acceptable Informed consent: Informed consent is when you give permission to receive medical assistance in dying after you receive all of the information you need to make your decision. This includes: -your medical diagnosis -available forms of treatment -available options to relieve suffering, including palliative care You must be able to give informed consent both: -at the time of your request -immediately before receiving medical assistance in dying, unless special circumstances apply You can withdraw your consent at any time and in any way." These are people who will die soon anyway, regardless of medical attention, or suffer prolonged, irremediable pain. Who the phuck are you say anyone should or shouldn't make this choice? If that condition ever happens to me I'm glad I'll have the choice. You can suffer and let your family suffer along with you as much as you want. Making your dumb political point will be worth it, right?

From the same article: "Now, what would you say if we told you that in 1990 Canada ranked fifth in life expectancy, and that in 2023 it was ranked 22nd?" What would I say? 12 of those years were Conservative govt's. From the same article: "Admittedly, Canadian life expectancy in 2023 of 81.7 years is higher than it was in 1990 at 77.5 years," Thank you Liberals for increasing our life expectancy! Thank you CdnFoxnetwork for bringing this to our attention.

Any amount of deaths is too much. But how many of those on waiting lists died from unrelated causes? How many would have died anyway, even if they'd seen a specialist? How many were non life threatening medical issues? How fast do people with life-threatening issues get care, compared to non-threatening or elective issues?

https://www.international.gc.ca/world-monde/issues_development-enjeux_developpement/priorities-priorites/policy-politique.aspx?lang=eng#1 "The core action area for the new policy—which will be integrated across all areas—is: gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. The other action areas we have chosen are: -human dignity, covering humanitarian action, health and nutrition, and education; -growth that works for everyone, which targets areas such as sustainable agriculture, green technologies and renewable energy; -environment and climate action focusing on adaptation and mitigation, as well as on water management; -inclusive governance, including democracy, human rights, the rule of law and good governance; and -peace and security, by promoting inclusive peace processes and combatting gender-based violence." Alright for you to have these rights and security, but not them? There are also private banks that make micro-loans to women only in poor countries, because they know women will use the money to make their family's lives better, while men are much more liekely to be irresponsible. So cut the bull sh!t about us paying for sex-changes,etc... Foreign aid save lives and helps lift people out of poverty. We can debate whether we should do it, how much we should give, corruption and inefficiencies, etc... but at least be honest about what it is.

If you're going to cherry-pick the bad, you should also cherry-pick the good. I'm seeing a cardiologist tomorrow after a 15 month wait for a non-urgent issue. That's too long. But when my colleague had a mild heart attack he was tended to immediately and saw a cardiologist the next morning. I'm ok with being put on hold so people with critical problems can be cared for. Every country's medical system is under severe strain, not just ours. That's just the way it is, and if anyone has a real solution, step forward and win the Nobel prize for medicine. After my doctor retired in 2020 I just got a new one in 2024. But during those 4 years I got excellent care at walk-in clinics. Just had to wait in line for an hour or two.

Right! It was started by those JEWISH SPACE LASERS. Thank God you drank bleach and stuck a flashlight up your ass! Otherwise you might be on here saying stoopid things!

I'm no expert but wouldn't some crop diversification be a good idea for some farmers? And as long as this tariff stand-off is happening the Feds should help the farmers as they're doing with other industries. And at least the farmer's convoy idea is about a real problem, unlike those Wingnuts from the 'Freedom Convoy'.

Why Are We Doing This U.S. Vs. Canada Thing?
Barquentine replied to Zeitgeist's topic in Canada / United States Relations
Do some research. That's a worldwide trend. You want to rewrite history? Can you write the Beothuks back into existence? Some truth to that, not enough focus on productivity. But the pandemic and ensuing problems also hurt us badly. Right or wrong, that had nothing to do with the economy. HA! That's as much an oxymoron as you are.- 223 replies

Tell the Chinese that. https://www.economist.com/leaders/2025/11/06/chinas-clean-energy-revolution-will-reshape-markets-and-politics "China’s clean-energy revolution will reshape markets and politics" There will always be some need for fossil fuels, but eventually it will be largely superceded by renewables and nuclear. Unfortunately the US has surrendered the technological edge to China.

Trump knew about Epstein sexual abuse
Barquentine replied to Barquentine's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Mike Johnson said that, then recanted. Get your facts straight. You're naive enough to think Trump didn't know what he was poaching young girls for? "I hardly knew Epstein at all" / "I hardly knew Epstein": This phrase has been used by Trump more recently to downplay the extent of their friendship, particularly after Epstein's 2019 arrest on sex trafficking charges. You probably belive that too, despite the facts showing otherwise. -

What nationality were the 9/11 terrorists? Who does Trump suck up to the most? -

So every day you're on here trashing Canada and it's government. Obviously you hate the country. At the same time you always defend Trump, certified liar, thief, conman, racist, sexual abuser, wannabe dictator, enemy of Canada, apologist for tyrants..... Isn't it time for you to move to the US? We'll get along fine without you.
