  1. We do on the vast majority of things. I said 'sectoral". You didn't cite 'trade deficits', you posted a comparison of Canada vs Mexico total trade, and I explained why. We normally sell a LOT of those sectoral commodities to the US. Mexico does NOT. We WILL again. You just didn't get it. As usual.
  2. Can't believe I'm saying this but I kind of agree with you. Still, my epitaph will read: "What was the point?"
  3. A lot of that difference is because of sectoral tariffs, steel, aluminum, copper and lumber..., all of which we normally export MUCH more to the US than Mexico. And also the 'Buy Canadian' push. And how much of that will be picked up by trade with other countries? Agriculture and seafood to China for example. The US will come back to normalcy soon.
  4. This one does seem like an opportunist. But not because she was offered something. She clearly doesn't want to spend 7 more years in opposition. But after 4 defections, it's time for the Cons to start asking why and make the necessary changes. If they can't do that they might as well break apart - back to the Cons and Reform party, 'cause their coalition just ain't workin'.
  5. Was Biden president February-March 2025?
  6. That's how all North American auto factories work. AI: "Parts for American auto manufacturing primarily come from a tightly integrated North American supply chain, with Mexico being the largest source of imported parts ($81 billion in 2023), followed by Canada. Significant components also come from Japan, South Korea, and China, especially for electronics and specialized materials."
  7. So we shouldn't allow any foreign automakers in North America? AI: "Many foreign automakers—primarily Toyota, Honda, Nissan, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Hyundai—manufacture vehicles in North America, with major plants in the U.S. South, Canada, and Mexico."
  8. so how much trade does the US do with China? You mean Trump's shit list. That dickwad will be gone soon.
  9. WTF? Since when is that a bad thing?
  10. The aspirations are great. The execution? Usually not so much.
  11. WTF do you know? I voted Conservative in the last provincial election.
  12. AI The Roman Empire lasted for nearly 500 years in the West (27 BC – 476 AD) and over 1,400 years in the East (until 1453 AD). While often cited as ending in 476 AD, the empire continued as the Byzantine Empire in the east, lasting until Constantinople fell in 1453 And they were so fukking rich! "I didn't realize the Romans walked on the moon, developed nuke energy and buffalo wings... " Well Duh, FFS. And the Egyptions didn't watch Youtube. You didn't understand what I said? You can only judge an empire's technology on what was available at the time "The Roman Empire was colonial but certainly not Global." Nothing was but the Romans controlled pretty well every advance society at the time, for a long time. Wikipedia: The Roman Empire was a state that controlled the Mediterranean and much of Western Europe, Western Asia, and North Africa during the classical period. And they didn't have any serious rivals for centuries. The Us has depended on Nato for 80 years and are now being matched or overtaken by China in some ways.
  13. But you can't compare empires that way. The Roman Empire was way more successful based on inflation of money, technology, etc...
  14. No, it doesn't. London, Dresden, Ukraine, now Iran. In fact it can have the opposite effect. And even if it did, bombing civilians is a war crime. Nothing short of murder.
  15. Only way they could win. Get a real leader!
  16. Why would (did) they have to bomb civilians? Military and strategic sites would have sufficed. Destroy their navy and air force. You sure it was only one bomb?
  17. So if all your exaggerations, lies, doom and gloom were true, why didn't Canadians elect the Cons? Oh, wait - let me guess. It was the leftard mainstream media's fault, wasn't it? But I'll bet you've got some TikTok rant or cherry-picked anecdotes to 'prove' your points. Carry on!
  18. Proof? It killed about 1/4 million. Did it save 1/4 million+1? Or do you mean it saved some American lives because of course their lives are worth more than Japanese? And don't forget: God's on OUR side!
  19. I wonder who first said that? And people keep repeating it - to assuage their guilt maybe? We might lose a few thousand soldiers - better kill 1/4 million civilians, right? Or was it just an experiment to see how Nukes would work?
  20. Yeah, that's what people always say to make themselves feel better about it.
  21. Why? Because he's an unqualified, racist, sexist dumbass https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/national-security/hegseth-intervened-military-promotions-dozen-senior-officers-rcna266062 Hegseth blocked three Marine officers who were expected to be promoted or appointed to new roles — two women and a Black man — according to five of the U.S. officials familiar with the decision. None of the Marines were the subjects of internal investigations that might raise concerns about moving forward with their promotions,
  22. How was this the right decision? AI: "The two atomic bombs dropped on Japan in 1945 resulted in an estimated 150,000 to over 246,000 total deaths. The majority were civilians, with 70,000–120,000+ dying instantly or within months in Hiroshima and 40,000–74,000+ in Nagasaki, with many more dying from radiation-related illnesses in the following years." And what irony that the nation that did this now preaches 'No nukes' to other countries. And people actually want the US or Israel to do this to Iranian civilians? This isn't taking Iran's side. It's about humanity.
