Are we in a "holy war"?
Barquentine replied to Hodad's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
...in the US is 'White Christian Nationalism'. -
Washinton Post: Russia is providing Iran intelligence to target U.S. forces, officials say The Guardian: Ukraine to help US and its allies counter Iranian drones in Middle East, says Zelenskyy And I bet Trump will find new excuses for Putin and still blame Zelensky for the war in Ukraine. If the US had a normal Administration in power, Russia helping Iran at this point would be a HUGE deal. And Nato countries are being sucked into this war... Stay Tuned!

Except Religious fanatics will slaughter people just to get to their 'Heaven'. As Hodad said: "I think the latter. Religion is inherently irrational, and so are its true believers. Any nuclear arsenal wielded as an extension of religious authority--the smiting hands of ill-conceived gods--cannot be trusted to play according to game theory. The "D" in MAD only concerns Earthly destruction, and that's not an effective deterrent to anyone who believes that they are taking direction from the creator of the universe."

Well I'll be dipped in shit! Eby Ends DST!
Barquentine replied to eyeball's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
So? You're saying trade will stagnate if we don't sync our non-biological clocks? Just to make it more interesting or confusing: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/time-zone-changes-local-government-east-kootenay-9.7113102 B.C. cities can set their own time zones, province says East Kootenay will continue to spring forward and fall back with Alberta but local leaders say that may change Me too. Long depressing months. -

Not sure what economic difference not 'falling back' would make apart from more light for the drive home each day. Won't help electricity use. And think of people who work out side year-round. Won't it be be dark til 8:30 am in winter? So they don't gain any daylight after work. And now parents will have to get their kids up in the dark to get to school. Unless I've got my forward/backward mixed up... Me - I don't care either way. Just wondering about the advantages/disadvantages. -
1) Because you see 5 guys at a table every morning you extrapolate that to all retired men? 2) More ignorance. Retired women do most of the volunteer work in Canada. 3) I strongly recommend you get your facts straight!

Alberta's GDP/person is 2x Quebec's GDP/person
Barquentine replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Bullsh!t! They don't work harder than people in any other province. THEY HAVE OIL! So by your reckoning, do the Saudis work harder than Albertans? (Hint:They have more oil.) And where does a large percentage of Alberta's workers come from? (Hint: Other provinces) And where will those workers retire to? (Hint: Other provinces) -
Trump just Effed Carney Royally LOL
Barquentine replied to CdnFox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I know why your head is stuck up Trump's ass - you and he both lie so much you don't recognise the truth anymore. PS: What's it smell like up there? Pumpkin Spice? Must be something good, there's so many of you jammed up there! -
From many media sources in the last 2 days about US 'Christian' Nutbar Commanders: "The non-commissioned officer, who is Christian, reported to MRFF that a commander told them to tell fellow troops that the war in Iran was “all part of God’s divine plan.” The commander allegedly cited the Book of Revelation and the section specifically referring to Armageddon and the “imminent” return of Jesus Christ."

The US is an extremely rich country, much, much MUCH richer than Canada by any metric. So there's no surprise their social security is higher.

Perfect description of MAGA. Poor whiny white dudes with no education, can't get laid - perfect patsies for demagogues. The people they vote for are screwing them and they're too dumb to see it. Must be those Trans Freaks to blame for all their problems. wordpress.com/2021/08/27/why-do-people-vote-against-their-self-interest/ "Consider Owsley County, Kentucky, where 46% of the population is on government assistance and yet 88.1% of the county voted Republican – the party that consistently reduces funding to programs providing government assistance. How can that be?" https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-human-beast/201903/why-do-some-poor-people-vote-against-their-interests "When poor people put their faith in conservative leadership, one might ask why they trust representatives of a wealthy owner class that will likely never include them. Yet there is a rationale based on the emotion of fear."

That's the opposite of what you said about Canada not getting a 'deal' with Trump when 'every other nation' was. You claimed all those MOUs were Trade Deals! Get your stories straight. -

WOW! How much more deluded can you get? 'Magically' is the right word, like your magical thinking. You can go apple picking tomorrow. It's just the MSM telling you it's winter. -
What's your point?

"propped up in the polls"? Seriously? You seem to be confusing him with another Canadian politician. And if there's an India-Canadian trade deal, that's a good thing, regardless of the Media. -
Well, we come here for at least the semblance of a debate. But you're right. Perhaps I should pick my battles more judiciously.

What if Iran had nukes? https://strategiecs.com/en/analyses/what-if-iran-had-the-nuclear-bomb "Theoretically speaking, Iran’s possession of a nuclear weapon doesn’t prevent its coexistence with Israel on the basis of the balance of terror rule, as is the case with the relations between India and Pakistan, Or: The case of Iran and Israel cannot be compared to that of India and Pakistan, for neither Islamabad nor New Delhi openly adopted a discourse calling to wipe the other out or target the other’s very existence, as is the case in the relationship between Iran and Israel."

Well, I live in North America. (The good part)

See, this is how everyone knows you're delusional, and just here to propogate lies. Maybe you should get another hobby - lots of grown men like you have toy trains.
