  1. We can still have the topic. You say it is your purpose to convince us that Trump is bad, or to at least let us know so that we have no excuse for it afterward. Well, I mean, what will that accomplish? Most of us here cannot even vote for Trump. Furthermore, Trump might lose. And believe it or not, we just don't agree with you. So, since we are at an impasse on this, and we are unable to engage with each other, I am sort of trying to take a bit of a fun break. You know even in congress and all that they have breaks.
  2. When you are not thinking about the fat lying baby, myata, what sort of things do you enjoy doing? Do you have any hobbies?
  3. If this were to happen and Joe Biden were to meet with them and later make a public statement that Zelensky and Putin are admirable men who deserve great respect for reaching this peace deal, myata would be telling us that Joe delivered a masterclass on diplomacy.
  4. Have you noticed that of the leftwing posters on the board, you are the only one here arguing this? Trump says he supports electric cars. Then jokes.... I have to Elon is supporting me.
  5. Ah. That makes sense.
  6. It's called the Eddie Money Defense. It's a new debate tactic where you attempt to bewilder and steer your opponent off track by quoting the lyrics to an Eddie Money song. It worked. And to his credit he showed a lot of restraint. He could have used the much more potent Rick Astley Defense, or gone totally nuclear with the Michael Bolton Defense.
  7. There were two boxers with this condition in the Olympics. Both are in the finals in their weight class. Do you think that is a coincidence? I mean if I were a gambling man I could have made a lot of money already.
  8. I don't even need the tone. I just read what he posted and it doesn't sound serious at all.
  9. I made a post earlier where he says he carried weapons in war.
  10. Mhmm. I already did say he was wrong. He gets stuff wrong all the time. Everyone knows this. We just don't care. I still think Trump is better, whether or not he screws up the details. I'd rather support the side that thinks this sort of thing is wrong. I would rather support the side that doesn't think parents who protest gender ideology crap being taught to children are a terror threat.
  11. And even if he was wrong about the details, most people probably agree with Trump's overall point here. I mean look at that... Anyone could have predicted she would make it to the gold medal fight. She will likely win it. To the left, this will be proof of her bravery and persistence in overcoming obstacles.
  12. Stop pretending you don't know. We knew. We all knew. Only a dead brain could not see it.
  13. If I am not mistaken, wasn't he originally referring to specific women in the Democrat party. They don't have kids and therefore do not have the same kinds of concerns about the future that parents do. I mean, it's still not a great comment, but whatever... no worse than "a basket of deplorables" or Obama's views on rural voters.
  14. Who cares? Probably 'stupid' or misinformed. I don't think this will be a huge election issue.
  15. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
  16. Your purpose here is to convince a largely Canadian audience on a Canadian forum that they would be making a mistake by voting for Trump? That's a noble and intelligent cause. Fair enough, myata. You labor not in vain. I don't want to face these consequences. I want to be able to sleep at night. This Canadian will not be voting for Trump in November. That's one down, buddy. Keep fighting.

  18. That's actually a pretty good comeback, robosmith. Kudos.
  19. Oh, I definitely see the potential for harm. I just don't think most people are harmful, and I don't think mistrusting "orthodox information" is harmful in and of itself. I think many people observe that sources of "orthodox information" are often the purveyors of misinformation and disinformation. That doesn't mean it's wise to just blindly accept an elaborate conspiracy theory, but people have their reasons for being mistrustful. I think many of the people (not yourself) that lament "misinformation" and "disinformation" just don't like competition.
  20. Fair enough then, so you aren't really in disagreement with me here. There are tons more examples as well.
  21. Kelly Clarkson lost 25 pounds eating this super food!
  22. I enjoy reading conspiracy theories. Some of them are very entertaining and far out. But I don't think they all are. People have very good reasons for being suspicious of orthodox information. Truth is often stranger than fiction. It's a pretty crazy world. History is pretty crazy. And the last century or so has been really crazy. The Nazis themselves are a good example of this. The Soviet Union. If someone in the 50s told you that the CIA was dosing unwitting people with LSD, you might call them a whackjob. If someone told you that they were funding a psychiatrist in Canada to experiment with LSD on mental patients that probably would have sounded insane.
