  1. Yes, I am using hyperbole, but you do realize people use this in every day speech. I am not literally accusing you or anyone else of saying that. Anyways, since you admit that the left views Trump as the greatest internal threat to democracy and as someone who incited an actual insurrection, don't you think it's odd that these same leaders who promote this view can so easily laugh and joke in his company?
  2. But see, that is basically what CdnFox was pointing out when he talked about how many people leftism killed. They were heretics as well. Heresy is more dangerous than actual thugs and violent criminals to a corrupt system. That's why you can slap dealers of hard drugs on the wrist, but thought crime can get you cancelled.
  3. Does he have to? I mean Trump is "literally Hitler" right? Not only that he is the greatest threat to democracy the world has ever seen, and he fomented the most deadly insurrection in world history.
  4. So do the leftists, but you ignore that. We ignore what suits us. Nothing was better at increasing the membership numbers of the MAGA CULT than the Democrat party itself. I could never imagine you chit chatting and joking with "literally Hitler".
  5. Increasingly, I think we are both duped.
  6. You are making a logical fallacy here. Jesus is not denying the existence of an enemy. He simply says to love them. You can oppose someone and love them. This a pretty much the standard plot line that plays out between parents and their teenage children. The tract is not entitled Hate Thine Enemy, right?
  7. I think the major issue with the left is they seem to view anything which society considers to be the norm as some oppressive social construct to be torn down. And more recently, it's not just things they view as social constructs which are to blame. Reality itself is oppressive. The body you are born in is oppressive. The fact that men and women are fundamentally different is oppressive. They also believe that because they call themselves progressive that their ideas are always representative of progress. Another danger I see which affects both sides of the spectrum is that intense polarization in the past 15 years or so has almost made politics like sports. Because we despise the other side so much, there is a tendency to cheer-lead our sides on. There is not much self-criticism. We have a political climate where it's become difficult to do so. To admit error nowadays is like apologizing to someone who wants to sue you. You are damned if you do and damned if you don't really. I suppose it's always been like this, but I think it's worse now. It sets people up on both sides to be duped by their leaders.
  8. Well, to be fair, Dougie93 did give you an answer. In the first reply, no less. And a song to go with it.
  9. ‘No room left’ for a deal: Trump says Canada, Mexico tariffs take effect Tuesday https://www.politico.com/news/2025/03/03/lutnick-trump-canada-mexico-tariffs-00207238 Well here we go...
  10. I say let Trump be the mock artist if he wants. That's his game. He is the troll. So either he gets you to freak out at what he says or he goads you into a petty fight and beats you with experience, as the saying goes. It's fun to beat someone at their own game. But it's smarter to make them play your game. Though I am not entirely sure what that is. I think we have to be serious but not afraid. Kinda like Team Canada in that tournament. They didn't get distracted by all the nonsense.
  11. Yeah, I just couldn't resist. Mainly because myata seems to see things in such extremes. Like, with regard to Trump, not only does he see him as evil. Everything and anyone associated with him is evil. People who disagree with him are evil. MAGA is evil. And things that he likes are glorified. He doesn't simply support Ukraine, it is now the new land of the free and home of the brave, while the US is turning into Mordor.
  12. Didn't they suspend elections in the new land of the free and home of the brave?
  13. That's me right there. And even when I did help dad or other relatives with that kind of stuff I had very little interest and just did what I had to until I could go do something else. Kinda wish I hadn't been like that.
  14. Yeah, i think everyone knew that. It never occurred to me to think about what time he posts though. I just always assumed he was an immigrant in Canada. You could be right. I think I just automatically assume posters are either Canadian or American.

  16. Joe Biden's Biggest Donors Abandon Him https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/joe-bidens-biggest-donors-abandon-him/ar-BB1poz73
  17. Seems like this really started to become an issue right around the time of the debate. No coincidence there? I seem to remember that right after the debate many Democrat pundits started to say the guy has to go. And I would say that caused the donors to pull out.
  18. OK, then, why didn't they stick with Biden? I mean he is obviously fine. And he has all kinds of advisors. What's the problem? Was tossing Biden out a mistake then? Is there anything the Democrats could have done better? Is there anything they might have done wrong? One thing? So, Trump is an orange oaf. Fair enough. Maybe you are right. Shouldn't the Democrats have beaten the orange oaf? I mean the Democrats have done nothing wrong right? They make no mistakes. Kamala was the perfect pick. Joe Biden was perfectly fine. So why didn't they win? You mean my simplistic understanding of senility or Mild Cognitive Impairment? My simplistic understanding doesn't really matter much. It was the Democrat party who pushed him aside, not me. I am just some dude on a forum. How about this? Let's say you are right that there was no better option than Kamala. I don't know. Maybe you are right. You say this is because she was VP in conjunction with the demographic stuff (she's female, she's of color). Is it then possible that it was a mistake for Joe Biden to have selected her in the first place or for the Democrats to have pressured Joe Biden to select her?
  19. No see it really doesn't matter what I call it. Whatever you call it, it amounts to the same thing... people saw it and they were like, "Uh yeah that guy can't run anymore." He's loony tunes. Loony tunes is not an official diagnosis, either. But the voters aren't doctors and they don't need to know the proper name for it. They aren't voting for someone like that. And they knew he was like that. Even if left wing media sources glossed it over for the people who watch left wing media sources, we knew it, Kamala knew it, the democrats knew it. I mean you can say he had just a mild touch of stage 1 of Exceedingly Slight Mild Cognitive Impairment if you like. They knew what it was was something the voters wouldn't like, and they did everything to cover for it. Like I said, people on the right were talking about it as early as 2021, and it started leaking out more and more in that entire last year or so leading up to the election. And they had to have Karine Jean Pierre tell you all it wasn't real. If you see videos of Joe Biden having to be lead around like a lost puppy and showing other completely harmless signs of having a mild touch of stage 1 Exceedingly Slight Mild Cognitive Impairment, don't worry, they are all just cheapfakes.
  20. There you go. Who cares, robosmith, what we call it? People had to lead him around so he wouldn't get lost. His "mild cognitive impairment" was so unmild he was talking about dead people, and as I said everyone on the right knew it was happening back in 2021. Argue about it all you want. The American people saw it. Though it wasn't obvious to everyone until the debate. It was bad enough that they had to replace him. They lied about it til they couldn't lie anymore.
