But buying stuff is not a political act. You cannot organize politically as a white person in any historically white country. Attempting to will certainly excommunicate you from the economy and will likely land you in prison. Every western 'democracy' does dictate to the last detail what people can do. For example, you are not allowed to have any national identity if you happen to be a white person. And without national identity, politics makes no sense at all. If I moved to north Korea, they would not care one bit if I considered myself a white person. The only demand they would make on me is that I do not question the legitimacy of their great leader...which I don't care about and would have no problem playing along with that. It isn't like I have anyone else in mind to rule north Korea.
