I take two views on this: Most vaccines are very safe and very effective It is not my place to force others to take a vaccine. When I was 2, I spent several weeks in the ICU because of my reaction to the MMR vaccine. When my son was born, we discussed my reaction and the took precautions so he could get the MMR. I felt comfortable with the risks. Others might not. Those that chose not to get the vaccines, imo, are making a bad decision. But I firmly believe it is not then government's job to regulate good decision making. If kids get sick because their parents chose not to get the vaccine, that is on the parents and it is no threat to anyone that did get the vaccine. It isn't even as big of a threat as it once was.
