Politico....POLITOCO...Dems are weak
gatomontes99 replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Smart voters = stupid voters. 1 for 1 I'll take all the voters I can get. Go rest on your belief you are superior. I'll take the Electoral wins. -
California has always had wildfires. With the seasonal dry season starting in the fall and the Santa Ana winds coming every winter, the wildfire threat is a when, not an if. The only thing that can be done is to mitigate the threat. You do that by limiting urban sprawl, cleaning and pruning brush near home and making sure there is enough water to fight fires. It can also be limited with fire resistant roofing materials and external fire sprinklers.

Politico....POLITOCO...Dems are weak
gatomontes99 replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Lol....oh noes...I forgot a link...oh woe is me for I'm so forgetful...what were we talking about? Oh yeah, how democrats are weak. And you come at me with this weak shìt. Yeah. Good job Skippy. You got me. But you keep on telling people they are too stupid for your party. Let's see how that works. -
It's disgusting how the left celebrates tragedy. They celebrated NC getting hit by a hurricane because it might help Kamala. They celebrated the CEO being shot even though his children lost their dad. Now they celebrate a guy losing his home just because he's not on their side. Liberals are truly awful people.

You couldn't refute what he was talking about, could you? His list directly disproved robosmith's hypothesis that government regulations only address abuse of power. What is more accurate is that some regulations protect people and some regulations protect businesses. It is no secret that large corporations can easily mitigate burdensome regulations as the cost to comply is a small fraction of their operating cost. However, smaller businesses strugle to comply as the cost to comply is a much larger percentage of their operating costs. That is why cutting regulations stimulates small business growth.

Lmao...oh gawd that was worth reading twice to make sure he said what he said! I accept your concession. -
Politico is an ultra left wing outlet. Lenin looks at these guys and says "chill". Yet, here they are, saying the DEMOCRATS are way to far to the left: Did you notice who did the survey? A progressive polling group. In the end, this means that (short term) the left will be in a civil war of sorts. The moderates and the lwnjs will be fighting for supremacy. If the moderates lose, the Democrats will get set back at least one more election, if not longer.

First they tried to fake foreign ties. Then they tried to impeach him to hide their transgressions. Then they tried to arrest him in banana republic style justice. Then they tried to remove him from the ballot. Then they tried to kill him by not properly securing his events. He won and democracy failed? No. Democracy won. Democrat party, authoritarianism lost.

FBI still hiding key Russiagate details
gatomontes99 replied to Scott75's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
That article is pure revisionist drivel. Russia didn't invade Ukraine because of some rebels or some inability of Zelensky. They invaded Ukraine for the land. They did it with total disregard for life. They have targeted and killed thousands of civilians. They were never going to negotiate. Short of Zelensky giving up the land and moving everyone out, Russia/Putin would never have settled. -

I like how these guys still think there was a Russian connection. It's like they watched a Star Wars and believed it actually happened. -
I don't get this. There is politics and then there is just plain stupid. U.S. transfers 11 Yemeni prisoners from Guantánamo to Oman This could be ok, except I took the names in the article and looked them up. Some of them we can live with. Some will literally kill us. One was assessed to likely kill the President and/or Americans. (I guess we know why Joe waited until 2 weeks before inauguration on that one). Another was a chemical and nuclear weapons expert. Here are the 11 prisoners with snip-its of their files: Khaled Qasim Traveled to Afghanistan for jihad, took military or terrorist training in Afghanistan ,fought for the Taliban, was at Tora Bora https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khaled_Qasim Uthman, Uthman Abdul Rahim Mohammad trained at Tarnak Farms. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Guantanamo_Bay_detainees Moath al-Alwi Served on Osama Bin Laden's security detail. In January 2010, the Guantanamo Review Task Force recommended he should be classed as a "forever prisoner", one who has not committed a crime but is too dangerous to release. Took military or terrorist training in Afghanistan, fought for the Taliban, was at Tora Bora, traveled to Afghanistan for jihad https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moath_al-Alwi Zuhail Abdo Anam Said al-Sharabi If released without rehabilitation, close supervision and means to successful reintegrate into his society as a law abiding citizen and it is assessed, detainee would immediately seek out prior associations and reengage in hostilities and extremist support activities at home and abroad. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:ISN_00569,_Zuhail_Abdo_Anam_Said_al-Sharabi%27s_Guantanamo_detainee_assesment.pdf Said Salih Said Nashir detainee was captured following a two and a half hour firefight in a Karachi Pakistan apartment, along with several other members of al Qaidavworked for al Qaida as a guard at the Kandahar airport. attended basic training at al Farouq training camp https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Said_Salih_Said_Nashir Omar Mohammed Ali al-Rammah (alternative name: Zakaria Al-Baidany) Detainee is a member of al-Q aida and is assessed to have held a key role in al-Qaida linked plans to conduct explosives operations in Georgia and Chechnya. Detainee was captured by Georgian authorities possessing explosive detonators and a large sum of US currency. Detainee received tactical explosives training while in Afghanistan (AF) and probably trained othersat the al-Faruq Training Camp during 2001. Detainee is connected to numerous extremistsand known al-Qaida members. https://wikileaks.org/gitmo/prisoner/1017.html Talfiq Nassar al- Bihani Detainee is assessed to be a member of al - Qaida who participated in hostilities against US and Coalition forces . Detainee has strong familial ties to key al - Qaida members including an identified trainer and poisons expert; at least two of his brothers swore bayat ( an oath of allegiance ) to Usama Bin Laden ( UBL ) who detainee openly supports . Detainee is also associated with senior al - Qaida members including spiritual advisor . Detainee has repeatedly demonstrated he will pose a threat if released and has threatened to kill the President of the United States and US citizens https://int.nyt.com/data/documenttools/82754-isn-893-tolfiq-nassar-ahmed-al-bihani-jtf-gtmo/2de902219e36b5ed/full.pdf Sanad Yislam al-Kazimi Detainee is also reportedly familiar with the al-Qaida chemical and nuclear research program. https://wikileaks.org/gitmo/prisoner/1453.html Hassan Mohammed Ali Bin Attash Detainee is a member of al-Qaida. He traveled to Afghanistan (AF) under the influence of his older brothers, one of whom, Walid Muhammad Salih Bin Attash, aka (Khallad), aka (Silver), ISN US9YM-010014DP (YM-10014), was a senior al-Qaida member. Detainee reportedly swore bayat(oath of loyalty) to UBL and was a member of UBL’s security detail. https://wikileaks.org/gitmo/prisoner/1456.html Sharqawi Abdu Ali Al Hajj Detainee has ties to numerous high-level al-Qaida members and operational personnel, including individuals involved in the 11 September 2001 attacks. Detainee was responsible for moving money and fighters into Afghanistan prior to the fall of the Taliban. After the Taliban fell, detainee provided assistance to hundreds of foreign fighters seeking to flee from Afghanistan to Pakistan or to their home countries. Detainee traveled to Bosnia for jihad in the mid-1990s and spent one year fighting before returning to Yemen. Detainee is associated with a planner of the 11 September 2001 terrorist attacks and with 11 of the hijackers. https://wikileaks.org/gitmo/prisoner/1457.html Abd al- Salam al- Hilah YM - 1463 has been in direct contact with two extremists outside of Guantanamo during his detention , one of whom is his brother , who we cannot confirm still supports extremist activity , and another who is a former Guantanamo detainee suspected of reengaging in terrorism . He probably would have multiple avenues to reengage in terrorism if he chose to do so because of these contacts , his expansive ex tremist connections from before his detention, and because his family resides in an area of Sanaa known for extremist activity . https://int.nyt.com/data/documenttools/periodic-review-board-initial-review/22a29fe88ce00807/full.pdf

How will they blame Trump?
gatomontes99 replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
There are at least two "manifestos" going around. Let's wait to see which is real. I am still waiting to see what really happened here. Have you seen the video of him, reportedly on his way to vegas? He's extremely happy. The guy looks like he's on his way to get married, not blown up. Now, maybe that is the PTSD or some other mental health issue. I don't know. But it is very strange.
