  1. Who invented the rights? How were the rights identified and how was it decided which rights would be granted? Id love to hear about the origins of this process.
  2. How do humans grant rights then if they have no authority to do so? So if you have no guarantee of any right then you have no right to defend your rights being taken away from you.
  3. You think you do but you really dont. Where do you get the right to defend against your rights being taken away from you from the people you say have the authority to grant them to you?
  4. According to you have no right to defend your rights since humans give them to you and can take them away. You only have the rights humans give you. To think you could defend your rights yourself is to suggest you have rights not given to you by humans. It's amazing how blind you are to your own biological argument.
  5. But by your logic unless humans give you the right to complain you have no right to complain. To assume you can complain about your rights being taken away is assuming you have a right no should be able to infringe upon. It's actually funny to watch you. You enjoy the benefits of a society based on the principles.of God endowed rights but you've bought the nonsense that the govt gives them to you. You seem like a smart person but it's hilarious that you can't see your own dilemma.
  6. Cold is responsible for more deaths regardless of the cause. Period. How long will it take for any action initiated by any govt to "prevent and mitigate the effects of climate change"? How will it be determined that any action taken by the govt was not "enough"? How do we know that any action taken by then govt will actually achieve the goal of preventing and motivating the effects of climate change. This is pure bull s**t
  7. It's not a dodge it's a fact. I am accountable for MY words but how you react to them emotionally, mentally behaviorally or cognitively. This constant blaming of other people for your problems is nonsense.
  8. But you are against rights. If humans create rights then they can destroy them and by your understanding if rights come from humans you have no cause to complain about it. To even think you have a right to complain about it would suggest humans don't actually create rights. It's not surprising you cant see the flaw in your own logic.
  9. 1. I dont want people to feel bad either but I dont control how someone else feels. It's also the case that some times we have to say things that might make people feel bad because what's said needs to be said. Have you noticed that not too many people seem to give a s**t ufbtheir words make donald trump feel bad? 2. I suspected as much 3. Well I think it's patently obvious that not all knowledge is equally valuable but maybe I'm just old school. On top of that knowledge without action useless whether it's good or bad knowledge.
  10. So then it what you say is true stop whining that women no longer have a right to kill babies. Don't whine if slavery is reinstituted or the right to bite is stripped away. They are man made and you get what you deserve. You don't even have a right to complain about not unless humans tell you you can. Your position is untenable but you can't even recognize it. It's sad to watch.
  11. Well it's both but specifically: "The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled on Tuesday in favour of a group of elderly Swiss women who had argued that their government's inadequate efforts to combat climate change put them at risk of dying during heat waves." Besides the fact that far more deaths are caused by cold than heat if a heat wave kills you have far greater problems than a govt that didn't do enough to address climate change. It's nonsensical
  12. I'll type slowly for you. No person wants to be a slave not even a person who is in favor of slavery. This would suggest there is an inherent desire in humans to free. It's not taught to anyone but it exists in everyone. Unless you're brain damaged it's a truth that exist across humanity. To observe that fact and to write it down is the same as saying human create that right to liberty. It's pure idiocy to say human create that.
  13. Good. I'm glad I'm standing in the way
  14. So again if I write on a piece of paper, "I saw a cow." then my writing was the cow. Got it.
  15. What utter buffoonery this is.
  16. That's has nothing to do with our God given rights. What right? Sure there is. It's already been pointed out to you. The fact that humans violate the rights of others doesnt mean they are no inherent or God given rights. You're conflating two different ideas.
  17. You posted only half my words. I just obtained "knowledge" that anything you quote should of be considered accurate unless it's independently verified. In practical terms that means you're disingenuous at best.
  18. 1. Right. We never want people to "feel bad" unless those people are people with agree with 2. Sounds like an excuse to ignore things you don't like. 3. You don't suppose "knowledge" in and of itself is necessarily a good thing do you? Seems to me lots of people have lots of "knowledge" and most of it is useless.
  19. If this was all just about whether they should exist or not you would have a point. The problem is this is about demanding acceptance. I know leftists hate the term slippery slope but the Overton window is a real thing. Eventually everything will have to be tolerated. We are already hearing rumblings of minor attracted persons. In the old days they were called pedophiles. Using the logic of leftists though you really have no basis to oppose people having sex with minors. If minors can consent to procedures that change their gender then on what basis could you oppose their consenting to sex with a pedophile and still maintain any intellectual integrity?
  20. I don't care about "societies" I care about America. AGAIN the belief that man can change rights is precisely the problem. And not one of them would want to have been a slave themselves. Humans have inherent rights and humans with power have infringed on those rights since humans first walked the earth. The fact humans have infringed on the inherent rights.if other human is not evidence that rights are "man made". That's not only wrong it's idiocy.
  21. No they aren't. No normal person wants to be a slave least of all those who were in favor of enslaving others. That's precisely the problem.
  22. 1. Why not use the phrase "call a spade a spade"? Are we really afraid of words? Clearly we are and thats why thinks are the way they are. 2. Agreed. I think Maher is a buffoon but he has called out both sides of the political aisle and we need MUCH MORE of that. What I love is when leftists want to dismiss him. That's how I know he's struck a nerve with them. People these days are mostly low intelligence thanks to public education
