Quebec so far this week: • Synagogue firebombed • Imam says Jews should be exterminated • Pro-Palestinian screams "kike" at Jewish student • Professor calls Jewish student "a whore," says go back to Poland • Two Jewish schools hit with gunfire.

For every racist threat against Jews there is one against Palestinians or Muslims and Arabs in general. The sad truth about this conflict is that a lot of people on both sides have used it to show who they really are. -
When the UN votes on things like these, 90% of the world always either votes for it or abstains, while the US, Israel and a few of their dogs vote against. Not that it would matter, the UN is more useless than an ice cream truck in Nunavut. But it shows that when push comes to shove, international law has two standards: One for Israel, and the other for everyone else. It's funny how we hear nonstop from the woke government about our past sin of colonialism, while we refuse to hold Israel responsible for its current sin!

https://twitter.com/PremierScottMoe/status/1719044342579450103 I was not sure whether to post this here or in the federal forum. As a response to Trudeau axing the heating oil tax (which means nothing for Sask. residents), Premier Scott Moe has decided to get rid of the entire carbon tax in the province himself. Though making sure Saskatchewan is being treated fairly is what Moe should be doing as Premier, there is no doubt this will seriously harm relations with the federal government. Trudeau's government started this by going mask-off and admitting they're basically punishing the Prairies for not voting the way they want them to.

Does the NDP need a miracle? It needs two
Canadian_Cavalier replied to CdnFox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The fact that the NDP has made no visible gains in the polls compared to their 2021 result, even with a bleeding liberal party, is a major failure on their behalf. Serves them right for propping up this gov and playing opposition on social media. -
CBC's Pro-Palestine Coverage

I'm getting really sick of the Israeli narrative that you're antisemitic if you don't tow the line 100% of the time for them. Israel is not entitled to the allegiance of other countries, including ours. Israel has never fought side-by-side in any war with us. -
Quebec RRQ vs Alberta CPP - Why not?
Canadian_Cavalier replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The APP would be very good for Albertans but very bad for national unity. -
https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trudeau-pause-carbon-tax-rural-home-heating-1.7009347 Important: If you don't live in Atlantic Canada, there is a 98% chance this means absolutely nothing for you. It's also an admittance from Trudeau that families are struggling with the tax and aren't getting their money's worth. But of course, he only cares about the families in places that are electorally imperative for liberals. If you live in Western Canada, you get nothing.

Being infamous means bad publicity. For example, Kanye West has become infamous for his antisemitism. This is the best thing to happen to Pierre in a while. He's never been more recognized and loved by not just Canadians, but people worldwide. This is the man who will restore our reputation internationally.

When? Ukraine also tried negotiating with Russia. They gave up their nuclear arsenal to ensure their sovereignty in the Budapest Memorandum. They were invaded anyway. Israel has nukes, and could invoke the Samson Option to destroy the world. But when it comes to Israel, Canada Firsters like yourself cannot help but bow down.

Why not peace with Hamas and have Israel give some of their land to them? That is what you always advocated in Ukraine. You're sounding like an evil neocon!!!

I'm not sure how your logic works. If you put a horse inside a pig pen will it suddenly behave like a pig? And are some of the pigs actually horses because you disagree with them?

I take a break for a week and a lot has transpired, eh? Everyone is entitled to their freedom of speech and peaceful protest, even if I disagree with them. However, since Hamas is officially declared a terrorist group here, that supersedes it all. People who support terrorist groups should not be allowed to walk freely. Period. However, support for Palestine doesn't mean support for Hamas. Israel itself initially supported Hamas as a counterbalance to the secular PLO. Hamas is one of the many groups claiming to fight on behalf of the Palestinian people. If people want to support the Palestinian cause devoid of an officially prescribed terrorist group, that's fine. If they support the violence and massacres, that's extremely problematic.
