You never fail to deliver entertainment value. It comes down to being rational... the past is the past, you can't change it. To keep saying the same things over and over and over again.. (which you do) and expect a different result is not rational. Rehashing something just because you can.. again, not rational.

Chew on this for just a second.. If I give a healthy person not in dire need of surgery $250,000, what will they buy? Housing, cars, consumption goods, food, etc. Will they spend their money on health care? Unlikely. We mostly are trying to avoid spending money on health care. It is not really a "good".. because increases in income do not result in predictable increases in health care spending.

My meeting with state officials was evidence of that. Whether or not this is how it should be.... that is up to you. I have moved on. Digging through federal and state govt budgets is not for the faint of heart. You may see a line item but then you explore a bit more and it gets very murky very quickly. Most do not have the stamina to wade through it.

My point on this thread is that folks are moving on. Some simple web scraping techniques can prove this. It is no longer front page news. My example at work was simply another data point. The governor has tired of this and ready to move on to other topics. I have never wavered in my contention that this topic does not move my needle. Its over. But your repeated name-calling shows that you have no self control and you lack the intelligence to express yourself any other way.

An intelligent listener can also tell if what is being said or written is valid or worth listening to. The speaker in some cases is really just wanting affirmation and so they keep repeating themselves in the vain hope that given enough repetition, the audience will agree with them.

I do not know about Canada but in the US... it would blow most people's mind if they knew the finer points of the budgets/expenditures.

its not always about the speaker. if your audience is not listening (for valid reasons or not).. and you keep saying it over and over and over again.. then it is a "you" problem. No matter how well you present your case, you need an audience that cares about what you say. Also, the audience does not have to care... if you start rambling on about the price of rice in Mozambique, I do not have to keep reading. You bring up outliers or scenarios that are unlikely to happen. Possible but not probable. High interest rates.. that is the Federal reserve and not the president. However, even if interest rates are high... one's decisions are the more influential factor in one's outcome.

If Trump wins.. my life will carry on much the same. I work for a state government and almost 100% insulated from job loss. As for whining incessantly, I do not see the point. Say what you need to say and be done. saying it twice or 2,344,790 times is much the same.

I live in the US. That being said.. I was never a proponent of vax mandates. It is not a matter of strong conviction or such. Honestly, do not really care and wished to be left alone. The fact that folks are moving on from it is good news to me. I know that some on here are really bothered by it. They would rather rehash it ad nauseum every day for the rest of their existence. It is pretty clear that nothing would appease you. You would rather whine and complain about this ad nauseum every day for the rest of your existence.

Well.. do not hold your breath. Folks are not going to give you the heartfelt apology you so wish. We differ in that pointless endeavors are not worth undertaking in my opinion. But there are folks like you who know deeply that what you want has a 0% chance of happening. You may as well as fly to Mars on nothing but a paper airplane.
