Honestly i don' t think it's the fact that they "went woke". Bud has supported LGBT groups many times in the past and as i somewhat jokingly noted 'spuds mckenzie' was a girl. I think the public is sick of woke and woke politics and this was seen as being a very in your face woke political move and people have snapped, and their annoyance is being taken out on bud. As i noted, the reaction and affect on their stock is too big for just a hadful of conservative die hards. I think it crosses the spectrum a fair bit and EVERYONE except the far left is just done with it. It was fine when trans did their thing and bios did their thing and everyone accepted each other but now people have to live with daily does of trans in the news, trans demanding this or that. trans shooting up churches, trans in their kids schools with unreasonable bra sizes, trans wanting to "educate" their children during "Story Time", and now they can't even just sit back and have a beer without dealing with Trans drama. I don't think most of these people care about trans people one way or another - they're just sick of hearing about it.

If nato builds up forces in that area now it's just part of 'nato', so they can invest in new nato surveillance systems and if threatened nato can position fast strike forces there for attack, it essentially turns the country into an advanced nato base right on the border of Russia. No, it's about selling beer. IF the person is there because they'll sell beer then great. If they're there because someone is making a political statement then people tend to get pissed. They don't want to have to deal with politics in EVERY aspect of their lives. Is coming from texas a political statement? Probably not. Is being young a political statement? Probably not. Is being a professional sports player a political statement? Probably not. Now - what if they hired a sports player who recently went public with his support for nazi's. And was a big nazi fan. It is something that often goes unremarked - everyone has their own disadvantages that hold them back, and many get no love at all. If your fat - that's going to be held against you. If you have langauge or speech issues that severely handicapps your ability to get ahead. If you're disabled or the like, obviously that's potentially far worse than someone's skin colour as far as impediments go. If you're neurodivergent (autistic, dyslexic, etc) you face severe prejudice and challenges in life even though you might be very smart. Often people pretend as tho the intersectional issues (race and sex mostly) are the ONLY reason people struggle or are prejudiced against. But the most important take away from that skit i think is this: Efforts to fix problems with 'social justice just drag everyone down instead of building anyone up, and then there's a backlash.

Well they don't get much say. Traditionally in these cases they write a few snotty editorials that nobody reads and do a few tv interviews with each other asking each other what the press things about this which nobody watches and life goes on. They have to remember she may very well win again and they'll have to live with her for 4 years. She can easily make their lives 10 times harder and less profitable. She can by pass them entirely and not do pressers and do interviews with 'friendly' press and ignore the political press core entirely. PP's been doing that - lots of interviews lots of media but not with the parliament press core and it's been pissing them off. It's a shot across the bow. So they'll have to take what they're given and for her it's to her advantage. And politicians don't care about being a chicken or the like - they care about winning and that's it If notley steps up her game that may change things. If i was in the leg press corps i'd be bugging her for pressers night and day.
