Says the guy who started with the insults. Is hypocrisy a full time job for you or is it just a passionate hobby? Well, hopefully you're pretty. Awww muffin - sounds like you need a cookie and a nap.:) Always entertaining when you get to the 'beg me to leave you alone' stage. Didn't mean to scare you.

Dominion takes Big Bite outta Fox Arse
CdnFox replied to NYLefty's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Nothing is ever plain and simple, except for people who claim things are plain and simple LOL Joking aside i don't think they were pushed into anything. They were increasing their viewership and business in leaps and bounds and got carried away and went a bridge too far. In fairness they are worth more than most of the other major news agencies such as cnn and nbc news combined. With the kind of growth they've been having and their success it's not hard to lose sight of things and go too far. All the news agencies lie, they all get sued, but honestly this was easily avoidable and i think they got swept up in the situation and just couldn't manage to reach those breaks. -
ROFLMAO - I love how now being an 'elightened centrirst' is an evil thing in your books Bernie would have been 20 different kinds of horrible. The Dems knew it - that's why when he started to win they stepped in and kicked him out of the way and put biden in his place. It's not that they thought biden would be good, just that he was less damaging than bernie. Honestly not a lot of really good looking choices on the right or left in the US right now.

Sounds like the only person being a hate filled bigot is you. Some say that people who make accusations like that are really just covering up for their own racism, bigotry and intolerance. Is there something you want to share with the class?

Mine? Who said I have a poor financial situation. I think you didn't read that carefully enough. I'm actually doing pretty good Good. Proves that these millennials are crybabying for nothing. Although your lack of formal education seems to be showing in your reading skills Dude, i'm pretty well off and i own my own home. Almost paid off. I don't know how you managed to read it that i was complaining about MY situation But honestly the kids today are going to be at a disadvantage and they DO have the libs to thank for that. THe higher interest rates, the low business engagement and lower paying jobs, the very high inflation, and a debt that has doubled and then some - all of that is going to be like an anchor to the ecomomy and their prospects for at least the next decade, probably more like 2. And the immigration compared to new home construction is going to keep their rents sky high and ownership out of reach. Sad situation

DeSantis supposed ally defects to Trump
CdnFox replied to myata's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
It does feel like a bit of a race to the bottom sometimes. -
Homophobe. Your writing speaks volumes about you. Really. Where did i say that. Why does your kind ALWAYS have to lie to try to make their point. I can make all my points well using nothing but truth facs and logic - don't you feel bad about yourself for having to lie to make your point? Sorry to burst your bubble kiddo but there's a pretty healthy number of trans people who are conservative. Sounds like you're the bigot and hater here. You're the one whos suggesting people should be ashamed of having transsexual feelings. THe only shame is on you.
-
So you're saying you don't understand it and you couldn't answer me. Fair enough - i think everyone knew you didnt' know what you were talking about.

Well that's a pretty rational response isn' t it. Nobody's going to think you're nuts now. Actually most people don't think that a fetus is a human at the moment of conception. Most choose a later date and support our current canadian practices on when it's to be considered a 'person'. https://www.ipsos.com/en-ca/news-polls/majority-continue-support-abortion-canada Life isn't the issue. We kill lots of things that are alive. CANCER is alive. Being alive doesn't mean it's a human being. The issue is when does it become a human being. Before that it has no rights and after that it does have rights. Pretty simple. Yeaahhhh no. It's not. So here's the fifth amendment: Could you show where it says that a fetus is a person? When they become people. And are you suggesting that jewish babies don't deserve the same rights as anyone else? Don't tell me you're anti-semetic? It's over when i say it's over Jr. YOu don't get to cancel me. Sorry. You can beg and cry to your heart's content, i'll tell you when i'm done talking. Now - speaking of abortion you'd help your case by NOT being an example of why it might be a good idea in some cases.

Of COURSE it altered the course of the conflict. My god how can you be that daft? Do you need me to explain it to you or are you going to retract that obviously stupid remark.

Uh Oh .... TOM has spoken! https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/tom-mulcair-why-all-the-fuss-about-twitter-s-description-of-cbc-1.6360448 Tom Mulcair: Why all the fuss about Twitter's description of CBC? Some interesting quotes: As someone who represented a different party, the CBC’s treatment of the Liberals is something I’ve witnessed up close. In the run-up to the 2015 campaign, in which I’d be facing off against Stephen Harper and Trudeau, it was frustrating to say the least. Some of our best communications folks cautioned me (correctly) that it was a mug’s game to complain. You can’t beat the house! I’d have to put up and shut up. Snip I have searing memories of interventions by a small number of CBC/Radio-Canada reporters during the campaign, several of whom went on to become Liberal staffers.

More than Six THOUSAND square Km. Dozens and dozens of towns and cities retaken. Sorry sparky. that's massive. And that does NOT include the later kherson victories which were substantial. The fact you would pretend that much land is just insignificant, and that taking kherson means nothing, shows you're utterly unqualified to speak on military matters.
-
Of course there is. It shows a complete lack of education for you to say that. They didn't have air superiority during the last ukrainain offensive and they took back MASSIVE amounts of land and destroyed or captured a huge amount of russian equipment and supplies. It was EXTREMELY fluid. So was the whole southern region around kersk for quite a while. Since day one it's been very fluid, it's just the last few months over winter that things were more static and that probably wont' last long. Arguably true - although many on their side would say losing that much land still a loss, it's just a mitigated loss.

Because every time they mention him he went up in the polls even when they were lying He loves as much media attention as he can get. He will either turn their attacks into wins for himself because he counters them, or wins for himsef because the fact they won proves the system is rigged. But as i said they've admitted to lying in many cases. And they have been sued: https://www.wsj.com/articles/smiledirectclub-sues-nbc-over-news-report-seeking-2-85-billion-11589832227 https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/07/media/cnn-settles-lawsuit-viral-video/index.html https://www.businessinsider.com/chris-cuomo-turns-don-lemon-in-legal-pursuit-125-million-2022-3?op=1 Etc etc. I could easily fill the page but you get the idea.

Most of it. The russians took far more than east ukraine - they were then pushed BACK to east ukraine and south ukraine. So that was wrong . Nato has not moved into ukraine. So that was wrong. The conflict isn't really very frozen at all - both sides are attempting to move the lines every day. it's a fluid situation. A better question is what did you get right? Well.. there IS a war so if you predicted there would be you nailed it. (everyone predicted it but still, take credit where it's due). Everything else you got wrong tho.
-
perhaps SLIGHTLY overstated... but not by very much if we're being honest. That does seem to be largely what they do for the libs. They 'flatten' the negative for the libs and the positives for the cpc (and sometimes the ndp if they get in the way). So - bad stories about libs aren't THAAAAT bad and Positve stories about the CPC aren't THAAAAAAT good and we probably dont need to talk about either of those any more and stories that make the cpc look bad should be discussed for 3 years minimum and are the worst we've seen since hitler and cancer were discovered. Blinders on the horse indeed.

Not in every case, no. But every major media does lie and does so frequently. CBC has been caught at it many times. NBC, CNN, Fox, etc all do. It would be wrong to say every story is a lie, and wrong often to say that a story is a COMPLETE lie, but they all lie. THey're usually just better at being able to maintain deniability.

Have I suggested i'm NOT critical of other broadcasters? And again - what's the problem with identifying a broadcaster as public vs private. I can see places like PBS saying that at 5 percent they're not really gov't funded - that's fair. But 70 percent? C'mon. You can't have it both ways - either being a public broadcaster is no big deal in which case why do we care if they have that label, or it IS a big deal in which case why shoudln't we tell people? Like seriously - whats' the harm here? What are they thinking is going to happen as a result of this that's got them so scared? I honestly don't know why this is a fuss.

Lying harder doesn't make something true. This is not really a moderate response. At best you could say it's not totalitarian. Most on the left would like to leave it to moment of birth. The more moderate left is uncomfortable with that. Most on teh right favor some restrictons in time except for reasons of health and safety, but a large number would like to see a complete ban. This is a VERY short allowable time range followed by a nearly complete ban. It's not very moderate. And for you to argue that it's baby killing you will still have to make the case that a fetus is a human being at whatever time slice (conception presumably) you're arguing. And you haven't done that. Stomping your feet harder doesn't make your argument better. It just makes you look dumb.
-
Then you're a woke or former fascist. The left does this all the time - they are huge fans of emotionally charged language rather than facts or reason so they will take a word with negative connotations and attempt to shoehorn it into every possible place they can. Remember when EVERYTHING including math was racists? They knew racism was percieved as a negative thing by virtually everyone so they just called anything they didn't like racist. Remember when they came up with 'cultural genocide'? Have to get the word 'genocide' in there, that way we can become as big a victim as the jewish survivors. remeber when trudeau said we should not tolerate the vax-hesitant.. not because of logical reasons or because they're wrong or because it's necessary for the greater good or the like but because 'they're bigots and misogynists', which we know are bad.
-
Absolutely. IN fact you should do a quick check or consider it 'unverified' even if it DOESN'T sound too good to be true truth is i've been directly involved with a number of newspapers stories, mostly positive, and even then where there' zero reason at all for them to want to get the facts wrong they always get at least a few substantial facts incorrect. On small stories even. It is what it is. "Trust in god but tie up your horse".
