Trump: Nikki Haley Responsible for Jan 6 Attack

Good luck convincing any American senior citizen than Medicare has been a scam and they would be better off without it. Let me know how that works out. -

No, as Nikki Haley pointed out, it’s clear that Donald Trump is in cognitive decline. He hasn’t been able to speak in complete sentences for years. -
The DJIA hit 38,000, an all-time high!!! And unemployment is at sustained record lows! Gas prices have fallen! Interest rates are scheduled to drop. Joe Biden has been an unqualified success! America certainly isn’t destroyed, eh?

Slavery is far worse. Too bad nobody taught you that. -
The POSITIVES from a Trump presidency

What you are saying is false. You can see that wind and solar are supplying increasingly higher and higher amounts of power, because they are the cheapest sources of power. Combined with natural gas turbines on a grid, you get both reliability and very granular, dynamic output control. -

Nonsense. People purchase energy. You flip a switch, electrons flow, and how they were generated doesn’t matter very much. Did it come from a dam or coal? I have no idea. The electrons won’t say. Name another industry which spends as heavily on politicians as the oil industry. Why? Because they know that technology is gradually making them obsolete. Of course we will continue to extract and consume petroleum long into the future. There’s far too much industrial infrastructure and technology to simply eliminate it. But they aren’t fighting against their elimination, they are fighting to maximize their opportunity to sell every single possible drop of oil. If the petroleum industry were working in America’s interests, they wouldn’t raise the price of their product every time the Arabs do. But they do. Cars are cars. Car makers will sell them and workers will build them. Ford won’t got away if they transition to EV’s, unless they can’t keep up with the technology. -
DeSantis Debites Dedust

Haley’s chances are better than anyone else’s. Clearly the race for GOP nominee is Trump v Haley. She’s not running against Vivek, DeSantis, or Christie any longer. Trump winning Iowa is meaningless because the Iowa winner rarely becomes the nominee. I can give you a long list of Iowa winners who didn’t get nominated. I think DeSantis’ goal all along was to position himself for 2028, and possibly the VP or a cabinet spot in the meantime. -

This has nothing to do with the topic of this thread, which is: Donald Trump is demonstrating clear cognitive impairment, having claimed that Nikki Haley was responsible for the January 6 riot, having refused an offer of 10,000 troops, despite the fact that Haley was not a government employee at the time. -

The oil industry is a dodo bird. It’s yesterday’s technology. They wouldn’t need all their lobbyists if they could exist without being propped up by the Federal government. -

Wait… so Trump’s “great accomplishment” was $250M/year in funding for historically black colleges? That’s his “great accomplishment?” Cause the article you linked to merely says that he’d “restored funding” to those schools which had lapsed 90 days prior. So what Trump actually did was cut existing funding for 90 days. Not a great accomplishment at all. And it’s all taxpayer dollars. He didn’t pay for it at all, he just tacked it onto the trillions of dollars of record-setting deficit he racked up. -

I pointed out already a massive income gap between black and white families in America. -

I wouldn’t have voted Democrat in 1870, I would have voted Republican. But that was 150 years ago. I’m not voting for something 150 years or 50 years ago, I’m voting TODAY. And TODAY, we have Nikki Haley stating that the Civil War wasn’t caused by slavery and then doubling down by saying that America’s never been a racist country. It makes no sense to me. Politicians constantly claim that America is falling apart and being destroyed and this is the worse time ever… but don’t you DARE say that anything bad ever happened in our nation’s history! WTF? The truth is that today is the best our nation’s ever been. We’re stronger than ever. We aren’t at war. We have widespread prosperity and our civil rights conditions are the best they’ve ever been. But we aren’t perfect and there’s room for improvement. Nothing wrong with Making America Better. -

That is a pointless statistic. Inflation rose incomes slightly every year. Surprise, surprise, black median incomes are even higher under Biden. But what Trump didn’t mention is that black median family income in 2021 was $48,297, whole non-black median family income was $78,000, or 60% higher! And, lemme see… yah, Trump did absolutely nothing at all to close that gap or even acknowledge its existence. -

But we aren’t electing a Democrat of 1870! This woman Haley is either a complete moroon or a complete liar, and both disqualify her. -
Isreal's real plans are now out in the open.

What makes you think the U.S. killed no civilians in Afghanistan? As with Gaza, they have no formal military, so all deaths were civilian deaths. Of the Hamas-reported 23,000 deaths, how many were militants? By this estimate, the U.S. killed over 43,000 civilian non-combatants in Afghanistan. https://watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/figures/2021/human-and-budgetary-costs-date-us-war-afghanistan-2001-2022 -

You need something explained: Taliban, ISIS, the 9/11 bombers, Islamic Jihad and Hamas are all equal. Their terrorism, war-mongering and hatred of all of us in the West goes far beyond the existence of Israel. They have proven that they use their civilian deaths as a tool of warfare. They ordered their civilians to ignore evacuation orders and they didn’t shelter any children or civilians in their tunnels. These are not the calm, kumbaya, hippie peaceniks you seem to think. They are ultra-extremist terrorists. -
House Republicans Waste $40,000 on Pins
Rebound replied to Rebound's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
There you go again. You can plainly see that Repugs waste money. Now, go look at the US Treasury website, and you’ll see that deficit spending always increases the most when Republicans are in the White House. The only exception was the first George Bush, and he still didn’t pass a single balanced budget. -
The many problems with Electric vehicles.
Rebound replied to taxme's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
EV owners I know have a charger at home. The plus is that you never go to a gas station. With my plug-in Prius, I almost never got gas; I got around 70mpg when I plugged it nightly. My friend drove his EV coast to coast and back without a hiccup. -

Toyota makes the world’s most reliable cars. The data from CR don’t tell us anything. I work on cars. I’ve restored a few. A “failure” can mean anything. Loose knob. Trunk won’t open. Or it can mean “car will not operate.” CR doesn’t distinguish between the two. An all-electric car which is well engineered will be a LOT more reliable than a gas powered car, because the EV has far fewer parts.
