That's simple. Money and Power. I suppose you could argue that we have the freedom to make money. You could also argue that we have the freedom to use said money to accumulate power. On those 2 counts, you'd be absolutely correct. But history shows us...over and over...that money and power corrupt people. Make them do awful things in the name of "more". Things like...buying up all the media so only your position is reported to the masses. With that sort of power, you could make people believe up is down...right is wrong...male is female... Our "freedoms" are now allowed us by those who control the messaging...the schooling...our very thoughts. To buck this and proclaim yourself free of those who work to enslave you is...now illegal in many cases. Which, of course, begs the question: 'How much do we value our "freedoms"'?

What you say about government mandates on colour is true. And indeed...I would agree that this experiment with "multi-culturalism" has been an abject failure. But not for the reason you do. I'm a true Nationalist. Thus I believe The Melting Pot method is far superior to this multi-horse-kaka. Its directionless and counter productive to this nation. And while its true that the Caucasian race is dwindling, this is actually inevitable. Check your genetics...the inevitability will jump out at you. In fact, I would predict that the last place on Earth, that has pure Caucasians left...and this will be any number of centuries from now...will be Russia. For as much as they try to make it appear so...and apparently succeeding in many cases...this is not really a "race war". Its a war on society itself. The entirety of society as we know it. And the best way to make a whole society crumble, is to divide the masses up as much as possible...give them no hope...no truths...no agreement...no moral base...no Gawd...and watch on while the society eats itself. But take heart. Not all is lost...yet. But we need to see through the haze of contradiction that were fed daily. We need to think rationally and reasonably. We need to keep our eye on the ball. As I see it, the amount of damage that's been done over the last couple decades, to a society that was already beginning to crack, has made it easy for normally rational folks on the left and the right, to slip further to the extremes. In the States, they now have an incompetent old fool as a POTUS and The Wicked Witch of the North as a Vice. This abject failure brought about by the intense hatred the left not only engaged in, but lied about and believed their own lies, to satisfy and justify their hatred. That and...a stolen election... Here in Canuckland...we have Justin "Pixie-Dust" Trudeau. A man who's great claim to fame is his father...and his cute sockies. The man's a plank. His second? None other than that blithering idiot, Chrystia Freeland. A woman who gave away the farm and managed to call it a success. Stupid is a compliment for both of 'em. In the States today, there's a man...parading as a women...cleaning up in the NCAA swimming competitions. In Canada we jailed a Minister for...being a Minister. "The whole world's goin' crazy. As for the vaccines ...I have 2 only because my wife is the bartender at my favorite watering hole and I'm too old to have any more kids. But I can honestly tell you this about that. Critical Race Theory is a silly THEORY that exists as a direct result of our own success. Our own affluence. Our own technology. I'm an old IT guy. Been working in IT since the beginning of the 90's. I remember the beginnings of The Web. I remember information becoming immediately accessible. I remember thinking how wonderful this new medium was. I had a boss back then who said two things which have always stuck in my memory; 1. "Learn this. Its going to be a goldmine." 2. "This is dangerous." The first I ignored and have somewhat regretted at times. The second made no sense to me at the time. Shortly there after, I found myself abroad working for my own country at an embassy. One of the military at the embassy told me the same thing..."This Internet thing...it's dangerous." Decades passed but slowly I began to see what they meant by "dangerous". Imagine...you build a home that has every nicety you could ever want. Then you see...live on The Internet...how most of your neighbors live. They see you too. Empathy...Guilt...and Hatred. It is not my fault that North America has been created as the ideal "home" for most humans. In fact...that is a direct result of the hard work of my own forefathers. Shall I feel guilty about that? Or shall I feel pride in that? We gave ourselves the tools to traverse the globe quickly and to see it all immediately. Then we found a lot of it was not very nice. CRT aims to try to re-distribute that which can never be re-distributed...in the name of a really dumb idea they call "racial equity". It also tries to pollute kids minds with notions of sexual abnormalities...being normal. Ahhhh...but every change of the ages is surrounded by strife and silliness. This one is simply par for the course. So welcome...to the Age of Aquarius. Do try to keep you wits and heads about you...and see things for what they really are...

LOL...Toronto...the "best place to live" compared to...Montreal. Such stupidity. I moved here from Calgary as a young man seeking a change and excitement. I got married here...raised my kids here...and now I want the hell out. Both of my sons have been mugged here. More than once. The traffic is a nightmare. The city is chalk full of self-entitled little tweenkies who think life owes them something. To summarize...some people like Toronto. To me its a hell-hole that I fully intend to flee as soon as I retire.

Oh for Gawd's sake. Can we please be honest about this? Racial bigotry exists in every human being. Its a part of our survival instincts. Anyone...and I do mean "anyone"...who claims they harbour no racial bigotries...is a bloody liar! We are all racists to some degree. This cannot be simply stamped out. It can, however, be dealt with in a civil and socially acceptable manner. This very basic truth means that Ryerson was a saint in his time, for advising that the natives should be educated in order to help them become a welcome part of society. His name and statue should be revered...not painted and unceremoniously torn down.

Ryerson did not architect the residential school system. He gave his advise. And at the time, it was an effort to educate the native people. I went to highschool and played hockey with one of those who went. He was a great guy, a very intelligent person and a fantastic hockey player. He went home to the reserve for Christmas one year and came back with two black eyes. Seems his own family beat the hell out of him for being "white" I've also met a teacher who have taken contracts to teach on reserves. None of which went well and the teacher soon resigned in defeat. So...to summarize...Ryerson did NOT architect the residential school system and the native people are quite responsible for their circumstances.!
