Try that in a small town

Did you not live through the 80s/90s? American politicians had hearings and wanted to ban the raps! -
Try that in a small town

Probably because it’s vapid nonsense and people are tired of the MAGA nonsense spreading through American culture? I mean…. if one wants to tell the story of small town America, the methamphetamine craze and the racist tendencies of small town America should figure prominently in the songs. And maybe something like “try being openly gay in a small town…. They’ll beat you, tie you to a fence post and leave you to die” would be an appropriate lyric. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/jason-aldean-try-that-in-a-small-town-maga-white-nationalism-1234792031/ -
Which demands are those? So, they shouldn’t have equal rights to you and me?
-
You’re not ignoring them. You seem to want something to be done about. Probably because they’re not really noticeable until someone tells you that you need to get enraged about them.
-
The point is, why aren’t you pining for the buff transportation fella to be back on the 5-spot?

Enhanced security measures Monarchs get wrinkles Monarchs die Buff, half-nude dudes are deemed unworthy of celebration?

The goal is that there is a periodic refresh to the bills. It has always been thus, no? Isn’t a periodic refresh enough reason?
-
I’m sure Laurier is featured prominently elsewhere. If he is not to be removed from the bill, that sounds like the dictionary definition of sacred (sacrosanct) where something is too important to ever be interfered with. Why not someone more obscure on the 5’er?
-
What should be done with the “trans” who denigrate biological women?
-
Why would Laurier be any more sacred than any other guy on $5 notes before him? Why do you revere the people who happen to be on the bank notes at the time you happen to be alive? Why aren’t you pining for the guy from the 1920s bill?

Those examples, except the 3rd one, are confusing the facts with opinion. The 3rd one is demonstrably untrue as he has not been convicted of a crime, although he has had to pay a lot of fines in civil matters relating to his business, and he has a lot of criminals working for him, including his former CFO. The other 3 are opinions that need to be backed up by facts.

Last I checked, striking was perfectly legal and withholding labour was a perfectly legitimate form of bargaining.

If it’s just his ideology, then he should shut his yap. If it’s the position of Canada, then maybe he could say something about it, if the Russians weren’t killing people indiscriminately. Once Russia leaves Ukraine, then Canada can make noises about getting rid of cluster bombs. Ukraine should tell Canada to shut up. If Canadians were being killed, would we be on a high horse preaching about how we would never do this? We’d be begging the USA to use nukes to defend their little buddies to the North!

It’s a moot point as scabs are illegal in BC, aren’t they? Why would it only be a fair wage settlement if workers have to give up their Charter right to freedom of association?
-
You think there are 50,000 trained longshoremen in Vancouver? LOL You bet! And they always will. They’re not asking for CEO wages, are they?
-
Shouldn’t they be allowed to negotiate for their wages? Supply and demand? If the CEO of the Port (Vancouver) can get $1.2 million in salary, where’s the issue with these salaries?

If there wasn’t a war, and if Russia wasn’t already using this kind of munitions, then i would say of course he should. But, they’re fighting for their lives. Kill as many Russians as it takes for them to leave.
