Canadian Judges increasing make governmental decisions
herbie replied to I am Groot's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
FFS hlaf the opinion is that the Judges are NOT appointed by their legal acumen but by political affiliation and that can be fixed by further entrenching it with Conservative judges they can agree with. And one that thinks the final decisions should be made by some foreigner's birthright.... What the hell is wrong with you people? -
Should One Being Trans be Disclosed While Dating?
herbie replied to a topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
whiskers sticking out the pancake makeup.... it nearly drove you insane.... FFS if you gotta stick your hand down her pants to find out and you were wrong then you should beat yourself senseless for being so slow.... hell if you got to the point of sticking hands inside pants you were interested so what does it matter? -
Is the population of Canada growing too fast?
herbie replied to NAME REMOVED's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No! No! Someone must give you a job! You can't just sell hot coffee to those people in the cold, you can only serve them someone else's coffee for a wage! No one there even has a coffee shop to hire you. Gotta think like my nephew, get a degree in conservation and work summers worrying over the fate of minnows in the drainage ditch. Who wants to live where there still is an environment to conserve and run the whole show? -
Donald Trump is a FASCIST (video)

Takes a pretty f*cked in the head Trump-pet to imagine Biden's done any one of that list of things. -

No need to respond further. Summed it all up pretty good. -
Donald Trump is a FASCIST (video)
herbie replied to robosmith's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The man splits people into classes, always pins blame on some of them appointed blood relatives to positions of power, threatens and promises vengeance upon his opponents, worships some imaginary vision of the past and promotes nationalism to an isolationist supreme. Continues to push past lies, invents new ones in every speech, threatens to force the justice system to bend to his will yet remains above it. Insists the very structure of the USA is broken and he is the only one who can fix it. If that isn't the textbook definition of a fascist, the textbooks are all wrong. Fortunately, as his babbling incoherent speeches have always pointed out, he is bat shit insane and have become lately overt proof of at the least early onset dementia that is progressing rapidly with his age. -

Apparently about as many on the right side of the speaker as the few on this forum. If most of us want to boil people in oil cuz they're left handed, so be it! Why should some activist Judge stop us? What do Judges know about the law anyways? An activists are people who DO something! Why listen to them? Listen to those who sit on their fat arses whining like 18th Century Luddites with Internet access! -

Who shall PAY? who shall PAY? Can't be done! Ridiculous, absurd! see what I mean? Can't even grasp the thought they'd have to lay a pipe to your house to SELL you their product? Like they always have? Just the typical someone will have to PAY something somewhere so that's BBAAADDD... and OMG they'd need to buy a gas furnace and junk their oil one... why would you pay thousands of dollars just to save hundreds every month? Gee as dumb to you as paying a little more for an EV car just to pay 25c/L to drive it instead of $2/L. -
Spending public funds on shit like this and whining about the CBC.... cornservative values...

The shocking state of the Canadian military
herbie replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Not pointing fingers at any vet on the forum, nor critisizing anyone who served. Just people who are out there and I have heard that meet those categories. There is no current threat more guns will solve, so that's why the priority is low at the moment. Not an excuse for not maintaining what we do have. -

I for once tend to agree with Groot. Most of us don't want or see the need for much of an armed forces. And the people who did serve we don't like are those who think peacekeeping was a lesser function, glory seekers, and those that think because they did serve they're somehow more of a Canadian than ones that didn't. -

There are some extremes in every group of people. I've been told East Indian jokes by East Indian people and laughed with them. They're self deprecating at worst. As well as Native jokes from native people. Heard many from "white" people that were insulting and disgusting. I will repeat those over beers with "insert your choice of race" instead of a specific derogatory name. Some people have absolutely no sense of humour at all and think they're woke others like a friend of mine who insists on doing every 'redneck' thing and joke cuz he thinks its funny. As my Italian relatives joke "If a Russian is a cosmonaut, what do you call an Italian astronaut? A specimen." edit: Sometime I use 'Lutonians' in those jokes, Like Stan and Josh Schmenge from the old 2nd City TV sketches -

Woke is a word used by sociopaths to describe anything that requires empathy. Giving a shit about the person beside you is alien to them. Besides that there's nothing shocking about our military. Been that way for decades. -
"welfarism" Let's coin some more new words, eh? Assign them negative meanings while we're at it. Act like money to people on welfare, social assistance, EI, pensions is just money burnt.

Just cuz he says it doesn't mean he'll actually do it. Like building a wall and making Mexico pay for it. Like protecting American workers. Like preventing wars and reigning in Little Kim and the Ayatollahs Like building new cars in the USA Forget all the lies unless they're of his total innocence....

typical cantservative Impossible tor mere humans to do.... too much money involved, don't even waste your time thinking about it. If God wanted Maritimers to use LNG he would have put it there..... -
Oh good those exploited child workers and huge diesels will be used for laptops so people can whine about how horrible lithium is for cars.... They could adapt them if demand happens... they're all just stacks of cells in different shapes.

Where'd you find that? Wasn't in the initial press release.

Hmmm. So putting a battery plant in Maple Ridge, right there in the spot where EVs make more sense than any other method is a bad idea? Everywhere you want to go on a daily basis is within range of the lowest range EV currently on the market. Maybe they could drive their F350s down to park at another $20 billion in actual taxpayer cost SkyTrain extension instead. Create 20 news jobs and no new industry instead.
