Mercedes F1 is a British based team.

McLaren is owned by a Bahrain holding company. I don't know if there are any left that are British owned. Even Morgan is now owned by an Italian company.

We do have a vetting process. Trudeau ignored it when he chose Payette. If they are chosen by MP's, it is still a political position. I don't see how electing a new president every four years to do the same job would cost any less or be any more effective than what we have. The job is constitutional, not political. It needs to be at arms length from politics. The Queen understood that perfectly and we will never know where she stood politically. Charles seems intent on taking the same course. We would also have to remove the Crown from everything in government. Would any of our treaties signed between FN and the Crown still be valid? They would have a huge stake in the game. Far more than the average Canadian who is just concerned about ideology

Conservative Leadership September 10th

Two edged sword. It would also make life more difficult for the likes of money launderers and drug dealers. Won't happen though, unless the Americans do it first. -

The Conservatives haven't won anything yet. -
There have been quite a few wars between South American countries. Manifold Destiny, the near genocide of native populations. Japanese Empire, Mongol Empire. Khmer Empire. They didn’t get much more bloodthirsty than the likes of Genghis Kahn, Tamerlane or Pol Pot.

Norway has only existed as an independent country since 1909. While not an actual EU member, it pays to be part of the trading bloc and is a member of the Schengen zone.

Canada got Dominion status in 1867. The Indian Act was passed in 1876 and the amendment that made attendance in residential schools was passed in 1894. They were a Canadian invention of Canada politicians.

Partly. Aside from Camilla being married at the time, the country already went through the trauma of a king wanting to marry a divorce before. Things have changed since the 70's.

Who's God? Christianity's, Islam's, Hindu's, Sikh's, etc?

You forgot, Australia, Denmark and Belgium. Spain also returned to a constitutional monarchy after experimenting with fascism under Franco.

There is a selection committee that vets prospective candidates. Trudeau ignored the committee when he selected that disaster, Payette. Hopefully he learned a lesson.

The residential school system was the product of a Canadian government, elected by Canadians. Not the Monarchy.

Yes classy. Everyone is born something, it's what they do with it that matters.

It would take a change in the constitution. Hey, you could wind up with someone like Trump as head of state, or Trudeau, or Poilievre, or Lewis. Maybe a little sober second thought is in order.

The US lost 2% of its population in its civil war. Americans killing Americans. The native population of America would most certainly disagree. The US is the only country to use nuclear weapons on cities.

No, you just trust people who make shit up. If, Trump says he declassified all this stuff, obviously he knew he had it in spite of saying he didn't. Elementary logic is a bitch. If you bother to read the warrant, it is quite specific about what they were after but you wouldn't know that because you just trust people who make shit up.
