  1. The only thing the Finns have bought from the US is F-35's. They and the Swedes build their own ships and subs. Sweden builds most of its own aircraft (including fighters) they have half a dozen C-130's and a few Gulfstreams for VIP use. They build their own armoured vehicles. Finns do the same for theirs and their MBT's are German Leopards.
  2. I would be fine with separating operating from capital spending on one condition. That there was a schedule to pay each capital project off. Something that no government from either party has done for many decades.
  3. Your posts could be a lot shorter if you quit making shit up. I have never said that he should lose his citizenship, I merely pointed to a petition that is asking for it. Apparently that upsets you. I have also rightly pointed out that he just used his Canadian citizenship as a tool to get into the US even though that is not grounds to revoke it either. Apparently that upsets you as well. Rather than addressing the petition, you just want to pick a fight. As usual.
  4. His wasn't born with citizenship even though he was entitled through his mother. He did have to apply. I could qualify for British citizenship through my mother but I would have to apply. I've already said more than once that I don't expect him to lose his citizenship. I even doubt it can be revoked. Read much?
  5. I'm not an apologist for the Khadr family and don't expect Musk to lose his citizenship but this petition is an accurate expression of what Canadians think about Musk. Sorry if it upsets you MAGA's. Musk also stuck around just long enough to get into the US. He is no more Canadian than Trump.
  6. Try waking up and look at what he is doing. He is ruling by decree and the only checks on him have come from the courts. Aren't those blinders getting uncomfortable?
  7. A honour that Musk doesn't deserve. Petition now at 255,000 signatures.
  8. In much simpler terms, Trump is governing without regard to Congress or the Courts. That's what dictators do. He knowingly breaks the law and then says try and stop me. That's what dictators do.
  9. Russia invaded Ukraine, not the other way around. You would not help any country that was invaded by Russia.
  10. You keep going on with this proxy BS. Russia was the aggressor and they are no one’s proxy.
  11. Where do you think Russia's money woul go if it was returned? My point was, Europe has not been repaid any more than the US benefited from Iran's frozen assets.
  12. Ya, we all know billionaires, banks and other huge corporations shouldn't be bothered with oversight. DOGE is run by one of them so of course it is going to be one of his targets. Jezus you guys are brainwashed.
  13. Russian assets in Europe have been frozen, they haven't been confiscated. They should be used as leverage in peace negotiations. US arms manufacturers are making shit load of money out of this war. US right wingers had a hemorrhage when frozen Iranian assets were returned.
  14. Trump is worse than Chamberlain, he is not only appeasing aggression, he is supporting it.
  15. Musk tweeted that Canada is not a real country so I guess he wouldn't miss his citizenship. It isn't frivolous, it's a real expression of how Canadians feel about the shithead.
  16. Good luck with that. Angus is MP for the constituency he was born in. I see the Musk petition gained another 10,000 signatures overnight. How many does the Angus petition have?
  17. Texas measles cases are now hitting 100. Entirely due to ignorant anti vax parents.
  18. You mean like Jan 6, 2020. Getting rid of financial oversight only benefits certain people and it isn't the average Joe.
  19. No it isn’t, he wasn’t born in Canada. He would have had to apply for citizenship but would have been eligible. He only used it as a means to get into the US. I doubt his citizenship would be revoked but it makes a hell of a statement about how Canadians feel about him.
  20. In two days, 203,000 Canadians had signed a petition to revoke Musk's Canadian citizenship. We were his country of convenience as he only lived in Canada because it was easier for a Canadian citizen to get into the US than a South African. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2025/feb/24/canada-elon-musk-citizenship-parliamentary-petition https://www.ourcommons.ca/petitions/en/Petition/Details?Petition=e-5353
