  1. How do you know it doesn't concern any of them? The war on Christmas is just manufactured outrage over nothing, biological men competing in women's sport is a reality.
  2. As I pointed out, it is not negligible to those affected and they have every right to be upset. It is also not negligible to those who have supported them and their sports.
  3. Does it matter? Are we only allowed to comment on things that affect us personally?
  4. https://globalnews.ca/news/10098366/sea-level-rise-20-metres-report-climate-change/ We better pray they are wrong.
  5. Negligible to you maybe but not to women seeing all their hopes and work going up in smoke because they now have to compete against men in a woman's sport. Not dumb at all to them or anyone else that thinks women's sport should be for women.
  6. Fuel cells can easily take you down to the 7-11, if you can provide the fuel for them. The average car buyer doesn't have NASA's budget.
  7. Hur was an appointee of Trump prior to being given this job.
  8. First three hits for "fair haired boy" on safari search https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/fair-haired-boy https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fair-haired https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/fair-haired-boy First three hits for "fair haired boy"' on Google search followed by several more that are the same. https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/fair-haired-boy#:~:text=Word forms%3A fair-haired boys,BRIT%2C use blue-eyed boy https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/fair-haired-boy https://www.dictionary.com/browse/fair-haired Are you trying to set new standards for obtuse. You are like this guy.
  9. Patrick actually won an Indi race and took pole at the Indy 500. She also led the Daytona 500 at one point. She was a serious racer regardless of the flack she got from the macho crowd. Three day event is the toughest and most dangerous of the international equestrian events. Since the world championships started in 1966, nine of the fifteen champions have been women, including Zara Phillips, Princess Anne's daughter. So men and women can compete on equal terms in some sports.
  10. When do women's sports stop being women's sports. https://tnc.news/2023/08/15/trans-powerlifter-world-record/
  11. Except it isn't just boxing, we are seeing it in many sports.
  12. The first I heard about the chess thing is you bringing it up and i think it is bizarre to exclude trans players and would like to hear their reasoning. How much coverage does chess get in general?
  13. It is far more basic than that. In both cases fairness is the issue. There are some sports like equestrian where men and women can compete on an equal basis.
  14. Very strange but I always thought chess people were different. I'd like to hear the logic behind this. There is nothing athletic about chess..
  15. It's not OK but it is OK because it's Trudeau. Make up your mind. Either it is or it isn't.
  16. That's why it would be interesting to know the rational. "Sounds like" doesn't really do that. There might be a good reason for it, I don't know.
  17. It would be interesting to know the rational behind it but as I said, if it works, do it. The object is to find kids after all, not grind political axes.
  18. So a woman who refuses to fight a man is a wimp. Interesting.
  19. Then you must all be Democrats because you guys are the ones in love with calling people NAZIS. Poor baby. Such a victim.
  20. That's what this thread is about, one stakeholder saying enough, she is not going to risk injury fighting a biological male in an unequal contest under the banner of "women's" sport.
  21. I don't know about NASCAR but F1 drivers are weighed and if they are below a certain weight, ballast has to be added to the car. What chance do you think a woman who transitioned would have competing against men at a high level regardless of how much you pumped them up with hormones and other crap, stuff that would get a man disqualified for doping? They can't compete either, are they being discriminated against?
  22. Do you care about women's rights and their desire not to have to compete against biological men? To not lose spots on women's teams including national teams to men? To have play contact sports against men? It has nothing to do with gay rights. Lots of gay women compete in women's sports, maybe a majority in some sports, because they are women.
  23. Only un educated mo rons and Nazis are so lazy they have to call anyone with a different point of view Nazis.
  24. So you don't think it is OK until you think it is OK.
