Right now, properties in my development are going for about $250K more than their assessed value. Should their owners go to jail when they sell for more? Mil rates are more important than assessed values. The assessed value can remain the same but the government just ups the mil rate to collect more tax. This saves the problem of doing continual assessments.

In BC property tax assessments are based on the previous years sales of like properties in that neighbourhood and square footage. Owners have nothing to do with assessed values. Trumps fraud was that he inflated values to get loans. Where did Stewart do that?

NATO is a a defensive alliance, not a country or an empire. After the annexation of Crimea how can you blame Ukraine for wanting to join NATO. Russia has been the aggressor throughout this process. Fortunately, the countries of Europe are a lot smarter than you and understand that the need for NATO is greater than it has been since the beginning of the Cold War. They know who the threat is and it isn't NATO. Putin is just using it as an excuse for his own territorial expansion and you are dumb enough to believe it.
