  1. Starting in 1936, the games were broadcast on the CRBC's successor, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The series acquired its present title around the same time, coined by Foster Hewitt. I wouldn't expect you to know who that is so I will give you a minute to look him up. ?
  2. The CBC has been airing the greatest show in history for 85 years now.
  3. https://ipolitics.ca/2020/07/30/trudeau-says-he-pushed-back-on-public-service-recommendation-that-we-charity-run-student-program/ Trudeau said he decided to pull the CSSG from the May 8 cabinet agenda — three days after the government’s COVID-19 cabinet committee endorsed the recommendation — and asked the public service for “further due diligence.” He later said during the meeting that he knew there “would be questions asked because of the links to my family.” The public service recommended we, not Trudeau. The public service is not entirely made up of liberals, if you get where I'm going with this.
  4. Since I'm not the current President of the u.s. I'd have to say I don't. ? https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-57106948 Last I heard Trudeau was cleared from the we thing and the finance minister wasn't.
  5. Just as Scheer was announcing he’d step aside as soon as his replacement was chosen, it became public that party money had been used to pay for his children’s private school tuition. What I get from that article is the conservatives don't care if you steal from them, as long you win. gee I wonder if thats so they can steal from us?
  6. https://globalnews.ca/news/6769964/andrew-scheer-internal-audit-conservatives/ Scheer was a crook. They haven't found anything on O'Toole. Yet.
  7. Its because they are blocking access to hospitals, not their opinions. If they are trying to get a message across denying people the right to health care is the wrong way to do it. My right to life is way more important than your right to free speech.
  8. Just like all the other laws. Can someone be arrested for stealing if they haven't stolen anything? Can someone be arrested for murder if they haven't killed anyone? Sure people can break any laws, doesn't mean they always walk away free. If anything breaking this law attracts a lot of attention.
  9. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/kevin-johnston-sentence-1.6198801 Another example of why hate speech is not welcome in Canada. I bet he's dumb enough to do it again (if he makes it out in one piece).
  10. https://www.ign.com/articles/no-time-to-die-sets-multiple-records-with-a-119-million-international-box-office-debut-james-bond?amp=1 Seems that a pandemic and a gas shortage won't stop people from going to the movies lol Personally I won't be seeing any movies in a theatre until at least sometime next year (last one I saw was star wars) Any guesses on the next actor to play Bond? My guess is Colin Farell.
  11. https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/covid-killing-rural-americans-twice-rate-people-urban-areas-n1280369 Since the pandemic began, about 1 in 434 rural Americans have died from Covid, compared with roughly 1 in 513 urban Americans, the institute’s data shows. And though vaccines have reduced overall Covid death rates since the winter peak, rural mortality rates are now more than double that of urban ones — and accelerating quickly. Vaccinations are the most effective way to prevent Covid infections from turning deadly. Roughly 41 percent of rural America was vaccinated as of Sept. 23, compared with about 53 percent of urban America, according to an analysis by The Daily Yonder, a newsroom covering rural America. Seems like a no brainer here, but the anti vaxers still won't get it.
  12. I'm glad they wouldn't bring him back here. When he gets out he's going to be trouble unless they execute him.
  13. Residential schools were about catholicism and converting the natives to them.
  14. As of early Saturday, more than 234.3 million cases of COVID-19 had been reported worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University's coronavirus-tracking tool. The reported global death toll stood at more than 4.7 million. There are currently an estimated 8 billion people on earth. That means roughly 3% of the entire planet has been infected. I'm betting that like the Spanish flu of the 1900's things will go back to "normal" sometime next year.
  15. As of July 2021, the United States had the highest number of incarcerated individuals worldwide, with almost 2.1 million people in prison. The U.S. was followed by China, Brazil, India, and the Russian Federation. Seems that prison is not working.
  16. If someone breaks in in the middle of the night, chances are I'd be dead anyway. I would still be groggy and would not be at 100%. Theres also the argument that the criminals can get better weapons until I park an attack copter on my front lawn or get some kind of automated security like robo cop 2. ? And then there's the research that having a gun in your house for defence typically leads to a violent situation that doesn't involve any criminals at all. https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2018/3/23/17155596/gun-ownership-polls-safety-violence
  17. There are several ways to defend yourself without guns. Americans just want everything done quickly.
  18. It is, provided you obtain a licence and use them properly. The u.s. prefer the Yosemite Sam style, shooting them in the air at random.
