  1. Yup, and “targeted spending” is just more spending
  2. Canada always justifies its mismanagement by pointing at US debt levels, but we forget that the US dollar, as the international reserve currency, is a huge safeguard for commodity and other prices for Americans. Their military can also tilt geopolitical affairs in their own favour. Canada is utterly dependent on the US for defence and for the US market for its economy. The big hard truth is that all Western governments must follow the IMF and Bank of Settlements’ script on a range of issues, from public health to economic development. The range of choices is narrow. Any country that steps too far outside the lines is turned into Venezuela.
  3. This is the heart of the problem now: The Canadian government has turned on Canada, decrying it as colonial-genocidal-patriarchal-racist. There’s almost an elitist contempt in Ottawa towards Canadian blue collar workers and farmers, as we saw when the Emergencies Act was declared last year. Only America seems willing to protect Canada now. In fact only a faction of the US is willing to fend off the communists and nihilists. I’d say it’s the Republicans and not the Democrats, but that’s an oversimplification, as many of the Republicans are also selling out the US and Canada to internationalist interests. I think it’s more about the grassroots versus the deep state-globalists. The grassroots are most rural folk and immigrants who came here for freedom and to work hard to have a better life. They’re family-oriented and generally more conservative, though progressive in the important ways, such as being tolerant and community-oriented. The spirits of Canada and America are alive in them. There’s even a segment of the Democrats who genuinely stand up for the workers, probably most common now among the RFK Jr. supporters and some of the former Bernie supporters. I’m not sure if there will be a political breakthrough in Canada against the Liberal-NDP. Canadians have been conditioned into fearing political alternatives to the “natural ruling party”, which by and large renders Canada a de facto one party system that’s anti-democratic.
  4. I’ll be perfectly frank: If people with your views run our governments for enough time to enact your insane ideas on gender and communism, our liberal democracy would collapse like a house of cards and you’d be reporting to the local Communist Party of China police station to beg for clemency. Oh, and they wouldn’t give it to you, because your views are anathema even in most communist countries.
  5. I also like the fact that the monarchy believes in God. The ultimate authority in our lives must not be a politician or we’re seriously screwed. Look at every communist dictatorship to find out.
  6. Quoted from the document: “Consensual sexual conduct, irrespective of the type of sexual activity, the sex/ gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression of the people involved or their marital status, may not be criminalized in any circumstances.” “Surprisingly, the report appears to endorse not only prostitution but on-line pornography, pimping and brothel-keeping. ‘The exchange of sexual services between consenting adults for money, goods or services and communication with another about, advertising an offer for, or sharing premises with another for the purpose of exchanging sexual services between consenting adults for money, goods or services, whether in a public or private place, may not be criminalized, absent coercion, force, abuse of authority or fraud’.” Bioedge
  7. The left is doing the most gerrymandering by far now.
  8. Not all of the left-wing governments” policies of recent decades have served us for the better. I think affirmative action has gone too far and is backfiring with the lost generation of young men. Gay marriage has complicated life for many kids though it has affirmed the lifestyles of many, I think. I didn’t have a problem with legal weed until I saw the further decriminalizing of hard drugs. Having zero limits on abortion and among the most lenient euthanasia laws in the world is making Canada look and feel increasingly dystopian. Cancel culture is driven mainly from the left today. The left also used the excuse of public safety to override many constitutional rights during the pandemic. No doubt they’re trying again with “global warming” and calling all anti-war comments disinformation. The left is literally destroying the West right now.
  9. I think you’re very wrong on this. The last election was won on defeating Trump, not conservatism itself. In fact, I have a feeling that the left is going to face a backlash soon that might bury them, at least the more radical elements on subjects like “trans rights” and eliminating capitalism, for a generation. We should hope so, because if not we can look forward to the collapse of family, human rights, and liberal democracy in general. Why? Transhumanism will lead to the granting of rights to A. I. and upend biological genders and the rights of men, women, and children. It’s already underway and it may be too late. The only hope is the fact that generally the irresponsible and reckless people are not the ones who can afford the products that maintain our industries, including products like beer. The capitalist free market of goods and ideas might save us, as long as the free market and rights like free speech are maintained.
  10. So removing the ages of consent and legalizing making money off the avails of sex work won’t be pretexts for pedophilia and human trafficking?
  11. I can only ascribe it to denial and cognitive dissonance. It doesn’t agree with the cushy affirmations of moral superiority doled out by the CBC-CTV-CNN government echo chamber. The policy paper is real and won’t get noticed by the mainstream until it’s normalized. This has happened with “trans rights” and the legalization or quasi-legalization of hard drugs and theft in cities like Vancouver, San Francisco, and Chicago.
  12. Have you become willfully ignorant?
  13. The UN has just released a major policy proposal to legalize hard drugs, prostitution, pimping, and pedophilia. What good can come of a society of legal human trafficking, the proliferation of opioids, exploitation of children, and unsafe cities? Why is this happening?
  14. Yup. If the Dems win again with Biden, we’ll see the decline of America accelerate quickly. Trump would end the Ukraine mess and restore American independence. RFK could be a great bridge between the parties, but the deep state won’t allow that level of honesty.
  15. Tucker Carlson tells it like it is and isn’t afraid to criticize government and media on a range of important topics, such as war in Ukraine. Even if you disagree with some or many of the things he says, no one can deny that Carlson stands up for and exemplifies free speech. All we can do is speculate on why he’s out at Fox. I just hope he resurfaces soon. He’d probably be better off and freer having a podcast or Rumble channel.
  16. Canadian media is so almost universally biased now that I’ve stopped consuming it almost entirely. Canadian TV news is pure left-wing propaganda. Canadians are living behind an aluminum curtain. We’re watching the advent of transhumanism and the acceleration of so many additional destabilizing policies, whether it’s euthanasia or the legalization of hard drugs. The UN just released a policy proposal demanding that pedophilia, hard drugs, prostitution, and pimping be made legal. What’s underway internationally is frightening and will destroy the family and western civilization, because as people are sexualized at a young age, get onto opioids, and get into robbery, there will no doubt come a “fix”, not unlike what we saw with Covid. People will be scared to leave their homes and walk through cities, which is already happening in cities like San Francisco and Chicago. The “trans” rights movement is part of the same larger top-down movement to totally offend men, women, and children’s sensibilities and morality. A small number of people with a mental health disorder who are committed to lying about their actual gender are demanding that everyone else go along with the lie so that they don’t feel offended. Hardner and many people simply aren’t thinking about how treating trans genders as biological genders is taking us away from biology and reality. We will likely see such “rights” expanded to cyborgs and inhuman A.I. if we continue to allow the rights of men, women, and children to be violated. Again, it’s fine and good to prevent trans people from being abused, to ensure that they have some form of washroom access, and so on. Playing loose with transforming bodies is another huge problem. We haven’t seen the complete fallout yet.
  17. I’m not sure it’s that bad yet. We do have elections and even the mainstream media are starting to look stupid by continuing to look the other way on Trudeau.
  18. I’m not saying he shouldn’t have been consequenced, but a year in jail seems to lack any fair sense of proportionality. It looks like the judge assigned an unreasonable punishment. I’m sure you had to be there and I don’t have all the facts.
  19. If a trans woman is recognized as a woman, they will be afforded the same rights to women’s spaces as biological women. If the only way to settle this to answer the question, Is a trans woman a woman?, the answer has to be no. If biology doesn’t settle the score, we’ve lot touch with reality.
  20. The judge acted like a tyrant, using his power to crush someone who doesn’t know better. Nothing will be done about this as usual.
  21. Canada is a basket case of multiple forms and branches of government, each one taxing, borrowing from, and spending for the taxpayer to the maximum level possible. The federal government needs to be reduced significantly, by at least 50%. They should only manage essential federal services like ports, airports, Canada Post, military, and a few other items that are interprovincial. Their parameters of policy must be restricted. Our federal government interferes with provinces on a wide range of issues, from health to housing to energy. They expand their bureaucracy and wages to ensconce themselves and delegate work. Canada keeps creeping further towards Chinese-style central planning and overreach. We lose freedom and our living standards sink.
  22. I don’t think that “trans rights” should be human rights if their assertion is a violation of so many other human rights, especially women’s rights and the freedom to express biological reality. In order to buy into the idea of trans gender having the same status as biological gender, people must be compelled to lie and swallow the ideological idea that someone can be two or more different genders at once. It’s a mental contortion that denies the field of psychology’s inclusion of gender dysphoria as a mental disorder in the DSM 5. Hardner always affirms every government position but sometimes supports discussion. It’s that kind of refusal to take courageous stances or simple indifference that has got us here. Don’t worry, Mike, you’re not alone. It’s actually the norm. The problem is that now we’re stuck with bad policies that we’ve been told to accept. Who drafted them? Where was the debate? It’s very much a shoot first, ask questions later. I think instead of simply equating biological and trans gender rights, there should be certain protections for trans people, such as access to a washroom and protection from abuse. Making people refer to trans people by their chosen pronouns is compelled speech. Allowing trans people into the private space of genders that are not their biological genders is a violation of women’s and men’s rights. It’s a human rights violation. Sorry but trans people shouldn’t be given that option as a “right”.
  23. Gender is a social construct until someone gets raped or pregnant. What’s happening more than anything else in the trans movement is that people are playing a high stakes game with their bodies and mental health and women are being objectified as make believe dolls. Gay people are also being put back in the closet. It’s hard for the exceptional people who really do feel like another gender and are trying to find a healthy coping strategy to be taken seriously in this context. The truth is that we can’t change our biological genders. We can only pretend and change our appearance. There’s nothing wrong with that. In fact it’s probably healthier to embrace that reality. Perhaps there are exceptions. Clearly going into female spaces and spontaneously claiming a female trans identity is not okay. “Trans women are women!” rings hollow because it’s so flexibly applied.
