Trudeau Liberals erasing Canadian history
Zeitgeist replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Canada is becoming a cartoonish parody of the once great country called Canada that punched far above its weight in both World Wars, developed cutting edge technology in aerospace, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, human rights, telecommunications, and much more. The replacement of the crucifix on our Crown with the snowflake, the erasure of the sacrifices at the Somme and Ypes and Vimy Ridge with our dedication of a million soldiers, our anthems and progressive achievements in public education, all dismissed by the cultural revolutionary Liberals, with the blessing of state-funded media and EDI corporate and government ideologues, fascists basically. The brainwashed public, scared of cancellation, won’t say boo in response. The payoffs to government-allied “charities” with your tax dollars ensure that the messaging and compliance align with the Post-National agenda. -
You seem unaware of the log in your eye. Most mainstream media has a significant left wing bias, including CNN, CBC, MSNBC, etc. You write off the biggest news network in the US, Fox, because it doesn’t agree with your politics. Just because some newscasters at Fox didn’t agree with everything that their viewers and some colleagues were saying doesn’t make them liars.

So the Liberals are using taxpayer money to fund fake charities that have a radical left, anti-free speech agenda. This of course should be an ethics violation. The discriminatory transhumanist “Egale” organization is mostly funded by our tax dollars to sway organizations and the general public to support radical left ideology and consolidate Liberal government power: https://nationalpost.com/opinion/egale-the-liberal-funded-charity-trying-to-ban-fox-news/wcm/d7804ef3-a7fa-4641-b390-0f5b8bf55490/amp/

Yup, in Canada the answer to a failed healthcare system that has given up on curing people is to help vulnerable people kill themselves. Canada has been creeping towards a totalitarian socialist dystopia for several years. The population, inured to its degraded rights and cradle to grave social engineering by state-funded media and overbearing cult of personality politicians, accepts this situation without much pushback.

Yeah I never considered myself especially conservative. I was a large L liberal for a long time. The supposed left parties today have become more authoritarian than the parties on the right, which I don’t understand. I never considered myself traditional either, but oddly believing in supporting women and men to be strong is now ridiculously called socially conservative, because the left has started promoting “choose your gender/species” in a departure from reality. -

Carbon taxes are for suckers. Even the US Democrats won’t impose them on Americans. Gas prices are high enough. As a socialist you can support the snowflake crown, but what you can’t deny is that Canada is beholden to foreign powers, including the US and China, we have a productivity problem, now a national pride problem under Trudeau, and weaker rights than Americans have. I used to buy into the CBC narratives, but they require more and more suppression of speech and political opposition to maintain. -

Trudeau thinks Canada started around the time he was a toddler in Ottawa, which is around the time for many that Canada began to lose its identity. Pierre was an internationalist and a cosmopolitan who enjoyed Castro’s company A LOT. PET’s policy of multiculturalism was a way to contain Quebec nationalism and juice the modern vibe coming off of Canada’s Centenia and Expo ‘67. The problem is that he also weakened the military, overspent to shift us further toward socialism, and hampered the energy sector. He was bright and strong and revolutionary, but the people who followed him didn’t keep the the best aspects and scrap the bad. Mulroney was strong internationally but accelerated the overspending. Chrétien was better fiscally. Economically Canada was at its best under Harper because our debt was modest, our dollar stronger than the US dollar, and our economy and banks largely skipped the 2008 Great Recession. Harper also restored Canadian institutions, including our British foundations, while also recognizing Quebec as a nation. He didn’t proclaim Canada a colonial genocidal disaster like Justin Trudeau has, causing an endless money pit of “reparations” and apology parades. Under Trudeau we have come heavily under China’s influence, removed symbols of God from our Crown, and handed over sovereignty to unaccountable ideologues in Davos and at the UN. People were stupid and bought the Trudeau name and hair despite Justin’s naïveté and narcissism. Canada’s weaknesses are more obvious today and Canadians are being regulated, monitored, and taxed into submission to achieve a creepy woke-green dystopia of increased assisted suicide, more available hard drugs, more violent crime, anti-merit hiring, and compelled speech. The snowflake crown is the fitting symbol for Trudeau’s Canada. -
That’s actually very interesting and a real break from the Dem/GOP fake representation

If the leader of one of the two major political parties can’t defend his positions against other candidates, he does not deserve to lead the party. The fact that the party would risk handing the leadership to someone without the intellectual prowess to handle a debate is beyond troubling.

That stat is well known. It’s 19% but you get the point. Just because Bernie is selling out to Biden doesn’t mean all his former supporters will.
-
Hardner writes off a candidate based on one policy perspective that is promoted by the corporate establishment. He doesn’t support an open democratic debate that includes a candidate with 20% support and rising. It’s anti-democratic and anti-free speech.

Wasn’t Doug Ford or his mayor bro a hash dealer? I don’t care about this. It’s another Stormy Daniels. Of course, drugs bad, but my guess is that he was young and he probably wouldn’t get charged today for what he did. He’s quite an environmental activist. I don’t care about his vax concerns. In fact, he’s an important bulwark against the excesses of big pharma, especially its outsized influence over governments. RFK will lose because he’s a threat to the fascistic marriage between corporate interests and the state. Most importantly, he’s aware of the threat of A.I. and the surveillance and control systems that are serious threats to our liberal democracy and freedom in general. Biden is clueless on this issue. In fact he is both a protector of the worst aspects of stakeholder capitalism and a neo-liberal war-mongerer, no different to George W. or Obama.
-
Biden doesn’t project the necessary moral authority. He also doesn’t seem to build constructive relationships with international powers.
-
It’s a shame because I think RFK is genuine and has good ideas. He think he would bring more liberty and peace. It certainly looks like the Democrat base and MSM are digging in against RFK to ensure Biden is all we hear about. That could really backfire, as I think many Americans think Biden is taking the country in the wrong direction on some key issues, such as war in Ukraine and the obsession with Equity, Diversity, Inclusion identity politics. Dems are backing the wrong horse. I’m disappointed that the handful of media influencers on the left who I thought had their own minds and aren’t owned by the Democrat Party aren’t giving RFK a fair hearing, such as Bill Maher. Maybe that’s coming.
