  1. I don't recall supporting Trump before the election and always had my concerns about him. Nobody knew what his true agenda was until after the election or understood what his real plans were. Who knew before the election that he was going to launch a trade war and think that would make sense?
  2. Poilievre says Trump wants Liberals in power to keep Canada 'weak' | Watch
  3. " Move over Trudeau, Trump has a new choice to be Canada’s governor. When it comes to who President Donald J. Trump would prefer to run America’s “51st state,” he’s made it clear Prime Minister Mark Carney would get his vote as Canadians wonder when they will get a chance to cast theirs. As for Trump’s endorsement of Carney, Conservative Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre said it’s perfectly fine with him. “I’d rather deal with a Liberal than a conservative,” the U.S. President told Laura Ingraham on FOX News Tuesday. The polls, since Carney become Liberal leader on March 9, now indicate the landscape of voter support has gone from a big lead for the Conservatives to a neck and neck tie. And some polls now show the Liberals are actually surging ahead." https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/politics/warmington-trump-prefers-to-deal-with-carney-rather-than-poilievre/ar-AA1BeRI1?ocid=msedgntp&pc=U531&cvid=97b5aa5b96fd480eb138a85d07c19936&ei=11 Here is your chance liberals. Choose Carney and Trump will be glad to deal with him and get you a deal. Not saying what kind of deal though. The news report on CTV just said it: Trump prefers to deal with someone who is meek and gentle towards him because he is a bully and prefers to be able to bully people into doing things his way. Carney fits that bill. Pierre Poilievre not so much. PP would stand up to Trump and Trump hates that. Do we want more of a strong guard dog to deal with a bully or a sheep dog? This is where PP's experience in fighting back against Trudeau and the Liberals in Parliament and out of Parliament will pay off.
  4. "There is no polite way to say this. Government spending is enemy number one. In Winnipeg. In Manitoba. In Canada. If we want to save this country from fiscal collapse, we need to stop pretending we can have it all. We can’t. We need hard decisions, and we need them now." "Here are just a few examples of federal government spending that have sparked outrage — even among those who aren’t typically concerned with budgets. · $1.7 million went to fund a musical called Lesbian Pirates. Yes, you read that right. It was part of Global Affairs Canada’s diversity programming in 2022-2023. You can find that in their reports, and it’s been widely discussed on social media. While people line up at food banks in Winnipeg, your federal government spent millions to fund niche entertainment projects overseas. · $50 million was pledged in 2024 to train midwives in South Sudan. Again, it fits the Feminist International Assistance Policy (FIAP), but it’s a questionable priority when Canadians can’t access their own family doctors. What’s the message here? Canadians can wait, but South Sudan gets fast-tracked?" KLEIN: Government spending is enemy number one I don't support or agree with Trump, but this kind of spending by Trudeau and the Liberals, if Trump ever got wind of it, would just add gas to the fire of his anger. This would be especially true when he knows Canada does not contribute its share to NATO or the defence of Canada and expects America to protect Canada. Unfortunately Liberal ideology is to spend, spend and spend more. They seem to have lost all reason and are willing to let the debt build up. As more money must go to service the debt, there will be less money available for services. At some point the government will not be able to provide the services that the people demand because they won't have the money and the prices of everything will be so high that the people won't be able to pay more taxes. So what happens when the government declares bankruptcy or inability to provide the services that people have grown to depend on? Maybe that is what it will take for people to learn there is no free lunch kind of government.
  5. Again you are being very deceptive. Did you read the information? "For starters, taxes and fees imposed by governments and airports account for 25 to 35 per cent of airfare costs in Canada." That is a lot more than $3. You didn't mention all the other fees and taxes. For a ticket of $300, all the taxes and fees would add up to around $100 on average if it adds 25 to 35 per cent.
  6. Looks like you are trying to start a debate to insult or mock Christianity; I don't have time for that nonsense.
  7. When people go to a public place such as a coffee shop, they have a right not to be insulted by some guy in the next table. Get off your high horse. You don't have a unlimited right to insult people in public places.
  8. No, I wasn't wrong. Read what I said. I said it was to expand (the quantity of oil being shipped). It was a necessity. You don't seem to understand why the government had to purchase it. You can read it on wikipedia.
  9. No, I disagree. Freedom of expression has its limits as you already know.
  10. Home price increases have normally been at a reasonable rate. But suddenly doubling the price in the space of a few years because of government actions is a disaster for the millions of young Canadians that now can't afford to buy a home and may never be able to afford one. It is a disaster that was created by the government.
  11. Trudeau bought a pipeline. We already talked about that extensively. You must know the reason they bought Trans Mountain Pipeline was because they had no choice. It already existed and needed to be expanded and was the only pipeline to the west coast and provide fuel to western Canada. Seems you can't understand a simple fact that it was a necessity as it was the only pipeline that already existed and a large population was dependent on it.
  12. No, I didn't lie. You know there is no such thing as freedom of do or say anything one wishes. Do you think it is legal to shout "fire" in a crowded theatre when there is no fire? Personal freedom from government control in every aspect of society is a reasonable expectation. That kind of freedom has nothing to do with controlling disrespectful speech or a movie that would insult a segment of society for no good reason. We are talking about apples and oranges.
  13. I think it well known you seem to defend the Liberals and oppose the Conservatives. If you support the Liberals or NDP, then you must believe in government as your savior.
  14. The oil and gas and pipeline industry has been greatly cut down in Canada by Liberals with the support of the NDP. They killed pipelines and put heavy regulations on the energy industry. This costs Canada billions of dollars in lost revenue and taxes.
  15. You're another liar on here. Nobody or practically nobody in Canada likes Trump or what he does. So right there you are totally out of the real world. I suspect you are an American Democrat. That is a useless discussion here because Canadians do not support Trump and Conservatives in Canada do not like or agree with Trump. He is in his own world
  16. What matters in politics is one's ideology on personal freedom versus government control. You obviously blindly believe government is your savior and you trust them for everything.
  17. Everything he said about PP is assumption and twisting the truth to fit his agenda of a liberal lefty. Read it yourself. Not factual. It is purely a leftist perspective with a phony attack on PP. Again conservative believe in individual freedom and less government intervention in society, business and every facet of life, while liberals and leftists believe in big government (big brother) control and intervention in everyone's business and life. It is because of liberal tax and spend and control of society that Canada is such a mess and investment is driven away.
  18. Universities seem to be a natural attraction for liberal lefties who believe in government liberal ideology and control of society. That means they hate conservatives which believe in personal, individual freedom versus liberal/big government intervention and control of society, every individual, and every thing that goes on in society.
  19. You should know universities are full of radical lefties and Marxists. Take what he says in that light. Especially a "politics professor". That should tell you right away he is a radical leftist and therefore anti-conservative. But then again, maybe that is how you are too, eh.
  20. If you think Trump and PP are the same, then you don't know a thing. Even a kindergarten kid would know the difference is like night and day.
  21. No, Trump's madness is not conservative ideology in the Conservative Party of Canada. Go to the CPC website and read their policy document and learn the facts instead of lying as you always do. You might learn something and maybe someday make an intelligent comment.
  22. Nonsense! How do you know Conservatives admire Trump? Did some fairy tell you or was it a Liberal lie ad on TV? You are just another liberal or lefty trying to use Trump as an excuse to re-elect the lefty liberals. Very few people even support the PPC although they would likely be better than any NDP or Liberal government, which has made a total mess out of our fine country. Probably less than 5% of voters would support the PPC and probably around the same support for the Green Party, another left wing fringe party. Now since Trump was elected and his true madness has been revealed almost nobody in Canada would support him. But if you want to support a pack of liars go ahead. The country could still be wrecked further by the liberal left. We know the liberal left has made a total disaster out of the health care system. But it could get worse if the Liberals are re-elected and realize how easy it is to lie and get away with it.
