    I’m all for protecting long term care facilities. Regardless most cases come from private gatherings, schools, and nursing homes/hospitals. Not construction or gyms or even restaurants.

    Complete nonsense. We had 4000+ cases in December as well. It’s not all about cases and it’s not all about covid.

    Let’s face it, covid is somewhat seasonal. It’s not like people just all of a sudden stopped wearing masks in December and March, but totally wore masks in the summer and fall. There’s absolutely no evidence of that. And you need to wear a mask going anywhere in public. That hasn’t changed at all.

      They're about neck and neck depending on the day. You'd think the Ontario lockdown will effect our numbers. 

      The US still has a dramatically higher death rate though.

      The US still regularly achieves 1,000+ COVID-19 deaths a day. Regularly there's a 2-day lul where it can be cut in half (Weekend reporting)

      Canada has only recorded 50+ deaths once over the past spike. That would keep the death rate in-line with the US 2-day lul, not the average or peaks.

    Most new cases come from school, long term care facilities and social gatherings. Non of which involve construction. If you have data showing that construction work is responsible for a large increase in cases, please share. Regardless, the science behind mask wearing and distancing has been consistent since last summer.

      If Canada achieves "Herd Immunity" by June. I don't think people will care that the UK achieved it in April. 

      Ontario is on track to having 50% immunized with at least one shot by early May.

    Ontario is thankfully vaccinating 100,000+ per day now, so about 3 million per month. By the end of April we should have over 5 million people with at least the first dose of a vaccine, which still provides pretty good protection. My the end of May we should have half the population of Ontario vaccinated with the first dose. By the end of June it should be close to 75%. Hopefully more than that and faster if they push past the 100,000 vaccinations per day.
