It's pretty much a widely agreed fact that Jimmy Carter was the worst President in the last 100 years, and quite possibly in the history of the United States. So I wouldn't put too much weight into anything he says. But his comments do illustrate the double standard. When the far-left claim George Bush lied, it was "patriotic." He didn't win his presidency on a public health option. The fact is, poll after poll indicates that close to 80% of voters are satisfied with their health insurance.
