  1. So perception and not reality. Ok, well, I think they would have percieved Obama's election as the first African-American President as a great thing. And I think they would percieve is harsh criticism in some of the media as a great thing too. Because he's being treated as every President before him, and not with kid gloves, because he's black. Because that's truely racist.
  2. Iggy tried to engineer a snap election last week and failed. I guess he doesn't believe in fixed election terms either.
  3. LOL, nice source. A poll by James Carville and Stanley Greenberg. Gee, what a coincidence that their poll is the first one showing the Democrat leading. Can I post polls done by Karl Rove?
  4. Nope, I think it'd be a big mistake. Let Iggy engineer a snap election, and have Canadians take it out on him and the Liberals. When you're opponent is self-destructing, you stand back, and let him continue.
  5. Well, this time he's stated he doesn't think there should be an election regardless.
  6. This situation is different from last fall. Harper has already been on record as stating he's against an election at this time. However Iggy has been trying to force one for quite some time. He may yet succeed.
  7. You have poor political instincts. Harper will not call an election. However, Iggy may force one.
  8. You're wrong on a pretty consistent basis. This is just another example. She just spoke at a major conference in Asia. And she's rumored to be speaking at an upcoming event at the Regan Presidential library. So she's been speaking at more engagements than former President's like Bush, Clinton, and Carter. I'm not sure why you're holding her to a higher standard. Because Democrats were flooding her office with frivolous ethics charges. Because he's trying to cover for his pathetic Presidential campaign strategy. You mean like Obama? LOL. She's also relevant in the political realm. As I've already stated, she'll be campaigning for Republican candidates and raising money in the mid-term elections. I guess you just chose to ignore that fact, to fit your extremely flawed premise. Just admit that you've been completely wrong, and we can move on.
  9. That's complete nonsense. Was George W Bush treated better by the media? There were books written, and movies made about his assassination. He was compared to Hitler, he was called a chimp, and an idiot. Joe Wilson is a star with conservatives because he rightly called Obama on his lie about healthcare for illegal immigrants. It was a lie, and proven to be so, because the house Dems altered the legislation the following day, to close the loophole. A President can't propose unpopular ideas, and expect to recieve favourable coverage. Go play your violin somewhere else.
  10. Yep, because all irrelevant people set records for book sales. I'm sure you'll still be calling her irrelevant when she's campaigning for Republicans during the 2010 mid-terms too. You just can't admit that you're wrong. Sad.
  11. I'd say more than enough, judging from the new report of a current, and growing $1.4 trillion dollar deficit. Yay socialism!
  12. Chicago is just another example, of how, if you're looking for the most violent, poverty stricken, failed cities in America, you'll find they've been run by liberals for decades and decades.
  13. I disagree. The reason a deficit exists isn't because Canadians don't pay enough taxes. That's ridiculous.
  14. I believe it's funded by it's own tax that comes off of every employee's paycheque.
  15. This is fun... Approval of U.S. Congress Falls to 21%, Driven by Democrats Gallup The current drop in overall job approval to 21% particularly reflects a substantial drop in approval among Democrats, whose 36% rating this month is 18 points lower than last month's 54% There goes one of punked's talking points. Parties Nearly Tied for Congress in 2010 The Republican Party's relatively strong position on the generic ballot in the latest poll, conducted Oct. 1-4, stems from the support of political independents, who now favor Republican over Democratic candidates by 45% to 36% Gallup
  16. So kind of like Trudeau?
  17. Ontario health minister resigns ahead of report on eHealth spending abuses TORONTO - Ontario's health minister bowed to months of opposition pressure and tendered his resignation Tuesday on the eve of a report into how the province spent $1 billion over 10 years to create electronic health records. Sources told The Canadian Press that David Caplan notified Premier Dalton McGuinty that he would step down in advance of the auditor general's special report into eHealth Ontario, which also included the awarding of millions of dollars in untendered contracts to consultants. Link You can take the dog out of the fight, but you can't take the fight out of the dog, or in this case, the corruption out of the Liberal party.
  18. I'm not sure how you're going to get Conservatism and Social "progressivism" to co-exist in the same party. And the more you explain your political ideas, the more this "new" party sounds like a benevolent dictatorship, taking away people's rights, "for the good of the country."
  19. LOL, how you like them apples Dobbin? And whoever said that Jim Flaherty is a neocon is an idiot. It seems as though, any conservative, no matter what, gets branded as a neocon by the kook-leftwing.
  20. Who cares whether I'm pro-life or pro-choice? It doesn't take away the fact that you're acting ridiculous.
  21. PWNED!!! I agree Kimmy. It also bugs me when scumbags like those get their greedy hands of money that would otherwise go to government tax-collectors!
  22. I didn't read any racist remarks, and I'm getting sick of the "agree with me or you're racist" debate strategy that seems to be prevalent on the left.
  23. I could care less whether she runs or not. But is she relevant? BWAAAHHHHHAAA, of course she is! Worst prediction in the history of predictions.
