  1. A lot could go right.
  2. He was defacto PM when Trudeau resigned. He was making decisions and spending money before the election took place.
  3. Yes, we pay billions of dollars for people to come here. While we have record homelessness and record food bank use. Hopefully some day we’ll get a government that puts Canadians first again. It’s been a while.
  4. They shouldn’t have to. Big corporations love the unskilled cheap labour. They don’t have to compete for workers, so they don’t have to pay higher wages and benefits.
  5. No. He became PM in January. Are you not aware that Trudeau resigned? Regardless, yes a majority of Canadians are giving him the benefit of the doubt now. He’s got a few more months of a honeymoon. But if we get into 2026 and there’s still no progress, he’s going to be in political trouble, and even boomers won’t be able to save him.
  6. That’s not true. They have as much authority as we allow them to have. Regardless, it’s funny watching you defend fascism and authoritarianism again. When did you become a fascist?
  7. Wrong. The newest MAGA hero is Sydney Sweeney.
  8. He’s actually been PM since January. And he put his own deadlines in place as to when he was going to get specific things done. Deadlines that he’s failed to meet in each case. All he seems to do is talk about what he’s going to do and what is going to get done. He’s in a perpetual campaign mode, with no actual results. Not really, it’s deficiencies in boomers, as they’re the only reason why Carney is PM. Every other age demographic voted conservative.
  9. Climate lockdowns are a thing now in Canada.  We are not free people in this country anymore.

Conservatives on this forum aren’t the backcountry types.  They’re more the Andrew Tate style conservatives.  They love gun rights, but don’t shoot guns.  Probably don’t own guns or grew up with using guns.   They pretend to be the alpha-males, but never do anything that could be considered “manly”.  They might go to the gym, but they don’t hunt or fish.  My wife grabbing the shotgun to go shoot grouse would scare them.  They complain how difficult being a man is these days

So they complain about backcountry lockdowns, but you would never actually see them out there anyway.

How well did I describe you though?

  10. Liberals have really f**ked over younger generations. First doubling housing, and now brining in 3+ million new citizens over the last 2 years, completely destroying youth job opportunities. I honestly don’t know how anyone can support these policies and think they’re beneficial for Canada. It’s like they don’t even care at this point.
  11. It's well earned. They ruined the country. That's not an argument. That's a copout.
  12. Then why did Carney lie about that during the election? So Carney lied during the election then right? No they weren't all applied by Trudeau. Yes, everyone should hate him, re ruined the country. Hitting back doesn't make me feel better, it's what Carney ran on. Elbows up remember? So he basically lied to get elected then huh?
  13. "Credible" is subjective. Regardless, they could avoid all of it by just leaving the country when they were asked to.
  14. Android phone makers are going to be asked to do the same thing.
  15. Not gonna cost $4000. Regardless, so you support slave labour?
  16. I think we should increase defence spending by finding other things in the budget to cut. Borrowing more money and adding more debt isn’t the answer. Last year, for the first time ever, the federal government spent more money on debt servicing than on health care. Just so you know, that’s not good. 2 things Pierre would do differently that would greatly benefit Canada, is eliminate the industrial carbon tax. It only makes our industry less competitive with our chief economic rivals the United States and China. It also makes things more expensive, as it act like a self imposed tariff. The second is drastically slow immigration. We need a few years of literally zero, to allow things like housing and health care to adjust. We need housing supply to catch up with demand. The easiest way to do that is dramatically reduce demand. We also need more doctors and nurses to keep up with health care demand. Just those two things would decrease the cost of housing, decrease health care wait times, and increase Canadian businesses competitiveness globally. But Carney won’t do any of that. He should also be willing to use the not withstanding clause to get energy projects approved immediately. Carney won’t do that either. He just talks and talks and takes endless photo ops.
  17. We’re increasing defence spending by borrowing more money. That’s not a brag. Regardless, Carney talked tough for the election, and has behaved completely opposite. It’s clear now it was just to win the election.
  18. Sheesh, something that important, you'd think he'd want to understand that kind of thing more. Probably just wanted to sound tough during the campaign. It's not great that he's taking things into consideration on the fly, I'd prefer an informed strategy instead. Yes, doing nothing is more viable, it's too bad he couldn't have told Canadians the truth during the campaign, but I guess he had to get elected somehow. The hatred is well earned if you look at what they've done to the country since taking office in 2015. Literally everything is worse.
  19. He reasoned that now? Didn't take any of that into consideration a few months ago? Regardless, do you realize that we have to send energy to eastern Canada through American pipelines that run through Michigan?
