I tend to agree. Although I have read that many diseases were eradicated by proper sanitation, plumbing, and hygiene. That all coincided with some vaccines. But vaccines get all the credit, When you look at the date, things like polio were already decreasing significantly. It's boilerplate conservative policy. As illustrated by some 42% of the vote being cast for it. By definition the NDP are a fringe/extreme party by the results of the election.

If you read the whole release, it's still very much up in the air. If it does get built, we're looking at 2030 at the earliest for operation. Apparently it's all due to changes Carney made, but it doesn't say what those changes are.
