Second study out of Hong Kong confirms omicron much less severe in lungs.

Even your hated media admit it's likely less severe.
The concern is that, with a rate of infection so high, will the scale of infected people mean that even if a small percentage get severely ill, will that disrupt hospitals.
I don't think anyone can be definitive either way, at this point.
