  1. I almost guarantee had Stephen Harper died and he had in his will that all money donated in his memory should go to the Fraser Institute, people would say it's in bad taste.
  2. How about referring to the election as a four year storm moving in? Does that not scream Liberal bias.
  3. I know many Canadians don't have much of a sense of humour. But I was trying to add some levity to my obvious error. Sheesh!
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHJGR4i7fhw You know perhaps you could re-schedule the interview because you can tell he's busy. But why bother right?
  5. Which part? Thinking she's a joke or spelling her first name wrong?
  6. I know you are but what am I.
  7. If CBC Radio is so popular then whey the heck can't they sell ads and fund themselves in markets like Toronto? As I said there are two talk radio stations in Toronto that do just fine.
  8. Nycole Turmel is such a joke. I swear Jack Layton made her leader to make himself look better. happy? Stupid french spellings.
  9. Nicole Turmel is such a joke. I swear Jack Layton made her leader to make himself look better.
  10. Non-Commissioned soldiers in WW2 are more heroes than draftees. They Recognized freedom was being threatened and they gave their lives to preserve it.
  11. Question Period is a good show.
  12. I think the greatest generation are full of heroes. Soldiers today often sign up because they don't have anything better to do. Their plight is much different than Soldiers that fought in the 40's. I think the two cops that died recently died bravely. And were heroic in their demise. Especially the one that got killed in Durham region by that moronic, criminal teenager. But the outpouring of grief and from people that never knew these people was fabricated and false.
  13. It's resonating because he had election success in May. People thinks he's swell because the NDP is the official opposition now.
  14. BTW 2.0 Documentaries were the first form of Reality TV.
  15. Well when 100+ people die doing something it doesn't become shocking anymore.
  16. Yes. But perhaps you have to have cable to see them. The trend is going towards a lot of reality TV however. But that's the same with much of TV around the world. And it's not crappy reality TV either. It's pretty solid stuff. Watch Slice, History TV, Nat Geo, FoodTV, you'll see a lot of Can Con stuff that's not horrible like Little Mosque on the prairies. BTW many of the Docs I see on the CBC weren't produced by the CBC at all.
  17. Such as? Hockey? Little Mosque on the Prairies? Battle of the Blades? Hyper-partisan left wing radio that doesn't need to sell ad space?
  18. The "Troops" didn't get anywhere near the pub as the two GTA police officers that died this year. I do however believe WW2 vets etc. do deserve a day for remembrance.
  19. Why is a broadcaster that gets much of it's income from the government having any perspective?
  20. Are you denying that CTV New, Global and the National tackle similar issues?
  21. Oh the Police Officer crap really got to me. Wall to wall coverage about an officer who was doing his job.
  22. They do, do similar stuff. I was more referring to News however. There are private cable channels that provide most of it's content being Canadian. I make a point not the watch US programming on Canadian channels if I can avoid it. If they didn't produce it, they don't deserve the ratings.
  23. No one, but this is a messageboard where I'm encouraged to state my opinion. So I am doing so. I also find the vitriol focused at people that think Grief Porn is getting to crazy (ei Blatchford) is also problematic if not ironic.
  24. I would find that equally as distasteful.
  25. Rue sounds like one of the PETA extremists.
