Of course you have evidence these shenanigans happened right?

Not really. He's lost the Transit agenda and got a small part of his budget reversed. But other than that, what about his agenda hasn't been realized? He got the Outside Workers to make huge concessions and soon the Inside workers will too.

For the Ford's sake, they better admit defeat here. Clearly they have no shot on getting these Subways to Scarborough.

Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck will handle this! http://www.lovelylivtyler.com/movies/armageddon/armageddonPoster_big.jpg

These protesters are pussies! Yours, Libya and Syria. They're getting shot at while protesting but at least it's warm. -
‘Lowball’ Olympic bids from CBC-BCE open door for Yahoo
Boges replied to olpfan1's topic in Media and Broadcasting
This is true but having the NHL players on the Olympic stage does good things for making Hockey a more popular sport. Now in Vancouver or Salt Lake City that's and easy benefit to illustrate, now in Buttfucknowhere ERRRR Sochi, Russia that's a harder claim to make. -

The term is Slacktavism. Doesn't appear Canadians are outraged at the Robocall scandal now does it? Oh wait nevermind, Nick Nanos is the pocket of the CPC right? -

The Gamecube is second to the Virtual Boy as the worst consoles Nintendo has produced. Point being that Media extenders are widely available. (Xbox, PS3, Apple TV, Blu-Ray players) That's how internet content providers will allow people to watch good quality stuff on their HDTVs. Yahoo actually has a decent National Sports Radio Station in the US as well. As for the NHL there are pros and cons for having Olympic players going. I won't be as interested in this Olympics if the games will be played at 4 am. -
Sid Ryan did/does columns for them too.

So what did Anonymous end up doing?

C'mon Cap you know HuffPo is a Right-Wing organization. They're in the pocket of Sun News and the Harper Fascist Cabal.

That would require him to base his opinion on actual evidence.

Brett Cecil and Brandon Morrow have proven to be decent. Dustin McGowan is supposed to be back this year, we'll see if he's as good as he was before massive injuries took him out. Their problem last year was the Bullpen. The article in the OP discusses improvements made to the Jays Bullpen.

BTW you sort of buried the reason for the lowball bids olpfan. We don't know if NHL players will be at Sochi. If they aren't allowed, the biggest draw of the Winter Olympics will be drastically diminished. -

So what a 3DS? or do you still rock an N64? I'm sure the new Wii U that is supposed to come out later this year will be a fantastic Media Extender. -
Well Rogers did just partner into buying the Leafs. What year are those figures from? The Miami Marlins have just landed a few big-name free agents. I don't believe they are still that low on payroll. Notice the Tampa Rays are 29th but still remain competitive?

Actually most would consider WW1 a giant waste of time. I'm assuming you meant WW2. I would say this. Why would you expect people in modern-day Libya to give two flying effs about a tug-of-war between the UK and Germany in the early 40's? It's not as if Monty or Rommel were trying to liberate the people of Libya. Germany was trying to get at the Saudi Oil fields and the Suez Canal and the British were trying to stop them. Libya and Egypt was just the battlefield. I've always wondered what the people of Bengazi thought about having their colonial overlords changed 6 times in like 3 years and did they pick sides?

Thread placement fail. I put this in Media and Broadcasting. Even though the OP's genesis is ESPN's notation of the Jays, I should have put it in the Sports and Rec thread. I have no idea how to do that so if a Mod wants to. Go Nuts!.

http://espn.go.com/mlb/spring2012/story/_/id/7641576/toronto-blue-jays-benefit-mlb-new-postseason-format I can always tell when a Canadian team is legit when American Sports Broadcasters (which are so much better than anything Canada has to offer) take note. Last week the MLB expanded the playoff format to allow two wildcard teams to play a one-game playoff to decide who gets that berth. It's actually good because Wildcard teams didn't rally face much of a disadvantage in the former system. Obviously the Jays have been forgotten in the sports world since the great Joe Carter home run. But they haven't been the losers people would like to portray them as and if they were in any other division they'd be in the playoff race each year. But those are the breaks. Anyway with the expanded playoff format and the great work by the new GM Alex Anthopoulos I'm hopeful that the Blue Jays can play relevant games in September and/or October in 2012.

Well depends on the economic situation in 2015 and who the Liberal leader is, and what he's proposing. Also if this is just some low-level Tory staffers in Guelph it hardly discriminates the entire party.
-
"Harassing" voters isn't illegal. Because it's subjective, I got plenty of robocalls from the Liberal lady that ran in my riding, I could easily call that harrassing. I don't believe EC is investigating that. The only evidence regarding sending idiots (and they are idiots if they believe a robocall immediately complaint to EC when they find out they've been duped) to different polling stations is in Guelph. Hardly a widespread Conservative conspiracy.

‘Lowball’ Olympic bids from CBC-BCE open door for Yahoo
Boges replied to olpfan1's topic in Media and Broadcasting
By 2014 I'd imagine content would be available through Media extenders like Xbox 360's if people wanted to watch Olympics on their TV. The Sochi Olympics is going to be a ratings dog for Canadian broadcasters. Absolutely the worst time zone for North America. You can watch Leaf games on Xbox Live when broadcast on Leafs TV right now. -
Not if you're in the 21st Century and subscribe to HD Channels. It's 705 for Cogeco, meaning it's there with CTV, City, the CBC and and Omni. If you're only watching SD it's up with the Movie Network, HBO and AMC. All horribly unpopular programming. Apparently you have to subscribe to Sun News in Rogers now or have a specialty package to get it.

No, I fully expect this EC/RCMP to come up with very little in the way of election rigging. And if they do find bad stuff happened it's very unlikely it'll have changed the result of the election. If I'm wrong I'm wrong. But it appears the opposition won't stop until they get the answer they want. Why else would the call for an inquiry before the EC investigation is even finished?
