  1. OK so double it. (2000 and 400) Still a fraction.
  2. I think what's being argued is what will happen if people continue to ignore those guidelines. The virus just won't go away.
  3. Perhaps you should take issue with the poster I was responding too. I've had unresponded to posts in the COVID page.
  4. ICUs are where you go when you're sick and are at risk of dying. Not when you want a Boob Job, Face Lift or Knee Surgery.
  5. OK so the New York situation was bad in March, April and May. (probably the worst of the whole Pandemic) Not as much now. Doesn't speak to the spike now. Why are you changing the subject?
  6. Ahhh, so now it's the protests fault. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/jun/18/anti-racism-protests-coronavirus-rise-covid-19-cases Wouldn't partying or dining inside or attending a political rally also not be a good idea in this environment? Especially without a mask?
  7. No, I was acknowledging that people can get tested for curiosity. But when the positivity rate is north of 10% it indicates you're getting tested because you have reason to believe you're positive. In Florida, people are lining up for hours to get tested. Why would you do that for curiosities sake?
  8. Canadians are going to talk about how stupid the US is being. Get over it.
  9. What level of guessing is required to analyze a chart like this? Also note that in Ontario, COVID Hospitalization only barely got over 1,000 and is now under 200.
  10. You edited out the rest of the post.
  11. More non-sequitors. I'll assume that means you're spent.
  12. So you're just guessing. You said Elective surgeries. Which wouldn't effect ICU Beds.
  13. I'll take your word for it. That comes at the cost of way more sick people. How's that going to effect the economy going forward? How many people that got their job back in early June have been sent back to unemployment? And Racism. Didn't realize he liked the Confederacy so much.
  14. And being hospitalized at that rate too? I don't think so. We've already established that Hospitalization is spiking.
  15. Yeah except when the the many all become sick, the economy can't be all that good.
  16. Sure. Just for shits and giggles. But then you get a positivity rate of under 1% like in Canada. In parts of the US it's up to like 20%. And if Hospitals get overwhelmed the Death rate spikes. Happened in Italy, Spain and New York. Texas, Arizona and Florida are going down that path. Tell that to Republican governor of Texas Greg Abbott.
  17. That doesn't mean harmless. Lots of harm can happen if you're hospitalized for an extended period.
  18. Hey, you deflected by bringing up Germany. Only responded.
  19. More like 30+ states. And this was happening before July 4th. The Weekend where people ignored Social distance will probably make things worse.
  20. Yeah look at that curve. Germany is out of control! Outbreaks don't mean it's out of control. If your case load is low enough, contact tracing can be done to contain an outbreak. When you're getting multiple states reporting 5-10k cases a day, it's pretty tough to contact trace.
  21. Then Fauci will be proven right. 100,000 cases a day or more.
  22. You test people that are sick. Lots of sick people in the US. Cite the 99% figure. Is it Trump saying 99% of the cases are harmless? Because that was a lie. Tell that to Republican Governors that have stopped selling alcohol in indoor facilities. Because of COVID.
  23. The US is the only First World country that can't seem to get the number of cases under control.
  24. And clearly opening too fast doesn't do the economy any favour. An increase of cases will lead to more death. Especially if it's uncontrollable.
  25. But that's the "silver lining" ya'll are putting on the quagmire the US is in right now. Not as many people are dying, so it's cool.
