But I can tell you, when your news media - a supposedly neutral medium - is controlled and giving you slanted news coverage which amounts to propaganda being uswed by places like China - can you really say we live in a democracy that we used to know?

 

That's a good exampke of why we shouldn't be apathetic about changes that chips away at democracy.  Once you get used to it, you won't even realize what's being taken from you.  It's like a frog that slowly steams in gradually heating water.  You won't know it until it's too late.

The first step in Putin's disinformation campaign was to gaslight the gullible rubes so they believe nothing in the MSM. They did this by giving them alternative fake news sources that they would prefer to believe.
