Screening for terrorists – interviews
WestCanMan replied to Marocc's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I've drawn people out before, gotten them to talk somewhat freely about their own bigoted views which they don't see as bigoted. And you can also tell a lot from how people react to certain topics if you're face to face. I wouldn't bet people's lives that it always works, but when it does work you know for sure. More than one person on this site has said in various ways that they support terrorism. It's more common than you think for people to slip up. -
Omg pax, if that’s your sense of humour it’s so dark it’s worrisome. Re:Yang - he’s a sideshow at best. His campy campaign ideas are embarrassing and he has nothing at all to add to the national discourse.

Screening for terrorists – interviews
WestCanMan replied to Marocc's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Just do the interview while Trudeau is still PM and you're golden. 1) People who manage to slip through the immigration system so that they can commit terrorist attacks against Canadians get to keep their citizenship, and 2) People who leave Canada to join terrorist organizations like islamic state, knowing that they'll be engaging in fun activities like burning people alive, beheading journalists, taking slaves and committing genocide, get to come back and walk freely, enjoying all of our rights & freedoms. Honestly just say "Justin Trudeau is my hero" over and over again. Even if you're an actual terrorist, you'll still love Trudeau for all the things that he has done for you, and when you're telling the truth it's hard for people to pick up on any bad body language, etc. -
Trudeau joins North Korea and Zimbabwe against Israel
WestCanMan replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
True. It's because there's just a ton of anti-Israel propaganda out there, and it comes from places which are actual human rights abusers, unlike Israel. If there were 40 Israels out there and one Pakistan then there would have been 1,000 such resolutions against Pakistan, but there are 40 Pakistans and they somehow manage to take a break from hating and killing each other while they're in the UN. -

Leftist idiocy has turned England into a divided country with a thriving welfare community. Just look at Brexit, they can't get their shit together because everyone is so at odds on major issues. They suck, and we are following their "lead". -

Did you even read the OP Citizen? Zimbabwe and NoKo, along with the "we give pensions to terrorists' families" PLO, drafted this resolution. So Canada actually did join those countries when they signed on. Oh snap! -
https://news.gallup.com/poll/284033/americans-improved-mixed.aspx New Gallup poll shows that Americans feel that the US is improving in almost every way under Trump. I've always thought that it was obvious that race relations were improved, seeing as the race riots ended when Obama left the WH, but here's the proof from Gallup.

Its official, Trump broke the law

He's busy, and he doesn't have to provide Witch Hunt V 2.0 any more than he already has. -

The military aid wasn't actually delayed according to what I heard yesterday, and none of the aid arrived late. He did ask, and if you can read english, and if you bothered to look at the transcript before you came here popping off, you'd know that. Trump doesn't care about corruption? Did you never hear the words "LOCK HER UP!" chanted at his rallies? You're dead wrong again, as usual. He also cares about lying at the FISA court, leaks, etc. You couldn't actually be any more wrong. -

A guy with a mask on bragged about robbing a series of banks and then couldn't account for their mysterious piles of loot, and then someone with bad hair asked for an investigation into the crime that the masked man bragged about but they were both competing for a job with an armoured car company so.... bad hair guy is the one who needs to be investigated by the police. -

WestCanMan replied to godzilla's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
That's plain idiocy. Trump didn't do anything even remotely similar to 'robbing a bank'. He asked someone to get to the bottom of something that is at the very least wholly inappropriate, and which has all the markings of a crime that's more serious than what Trump is accused of by orders of magnitude. It's more like: A guy with a mask on bragged about robbing a series of banks and then couldn't account for their mysterious piles of loot, and then someone with bad hair asked for an investigation into the crime that the masked man bragged about but they were both competing for a job with an armoured car company so.... bad hair guy is the one who needs to be investigated by the police. -

They are not different matters at all. In Schiff's own opening remarks, at the very beginning of the latest impeachment process, Schiff said that "Trump asked the Ukrainians to dig up dirt" on Joe Biden. So this whole impeachment proceeding is predicated on the notion that Trump wanted to coerce the Ukrainians into starting a Russian collusion v 2.0 scam against Joe Biden when there was actually no reason at all to investigate him. Are you dumb enough to believe that there's no reason to investigate what the Bidens did, or are you too dumb to see why the Bidens' testimony is relevant to this proceeding? -
Trump Impeachment/Indictment Process
WestCanMan replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The Dems said on the day that he was inaugurated that their goal was to impeach him and they didn't even have a reason yet. They've bee saying ever since that day that they wanted to impeach him. Then they faked a russian collusion scenario for 3 years to try and impeach him. They used fake intel - bought and paid for from russians by their presidential candidate no less - to start the fake Russian collusion investigation. They tried to get one of Trump's SCJ appointees rejected based on the testimony of a complainant who said that the appointee "attempted" to rape her but that complainant named 4 witnesses who never saw or heard of the incident, she couldn't name a week or a month or even a year that it happened, she couldn't name the place it happened, she claimed to have phobias as a result of the attack but she was proven to have acted in ways which proved that she truly didn't have those phobias, she lied about other things in those proceedings and the Dems never wavered on their patently phoney stance. This newest impeachment proceeding was started off with blatant lying, and almost every time they talk about the phone call to Zelenski they tell the same material lies. "When Zelenski talked about military aid, Trump came right back with 'we want a favour from you' and he asked them to investigate Biden". That's a total fabrication. Trump asked them about crowdstrike at that point, and crowdstrike has nothing at all to do with Biden - it only has ties to the bogus Russian collusion investigation. Zelenski replied to that comment before the topic ever got around to Biden. And it's blatantly obvious to everyone on earth that the Biden family received millions of dollars from Hunter's "completely random hiring that Joe never even heard about" and then Joe gave the Ukrainians a stern ultimatum to grant them what seems very likely to have been a personal favour. Honestly a person would have to be incredibly stupid to buy anything that the Dems are selling right now. This all goes to prove Mark Twain's saying "It's easier to fool a person than to convince them that they've been fooled". CNN could say literally anything right now and without a moment's thought on the topic you'd turn around and regurgitate it as if you were the world's leading expert on the subject. -

Not chewing, just chuckling. CNN is like a massive stupidity factory, they definitely came out with it first. If you beat them to the punch that's not something to be proud of. Definitely don't go around saying "I out-idjuttid CNN hyuk hyuk!" -

You got sucked in by Adam Schiff, that's your fault and no one else's. There is no fake exoneration going on, and there are no ghoulies and ghosties and long-legged beasties which magically appear under your bed when you turn off the light. -

The people who demand transparency with Trump are dead certain that no light ever shines on Biden's obvious crimes. Period. Schiff and Hunter are both important witnesses in this case because Schiff made the key distinction that Trump was "digging up dirt", which is only true if there was no actual crime that was worthy of investigation - even though the appearance of a crime is overwhelming. Go ahead and ask for fairness all around or stop complaining. No one likes a hypocrite. -
I'm extremely concerned about scandals which politicians are certain to have had a hand in. Things that happen somewhere in the country which could possibly benefit them and look fishy don't rise to the level of calling them guilty. If 600 people in your riding all make a donation to your election do you have to find out if a group of 20 of them all work in the same place, or if they all have kids that made a certain BBall team or got into a certain college? Give me a break. SNC was a scandal. Trudeau's own hands are all over it. The fact that someone got their employees to make donations doesn't necessarily incriminate anyone, even if it's JT himself. I could rig that up easily to get someone disqualified.

I don't care about P P, Brad Wall would be my first choice. Re: bribing employees, I don't think that a politician can stop a business owner from bribing his employees to make campaign donations. If I start bribing people to vote for Trudeau and I get "caught" does that mean that Trudeau can't run for PM anymore? Makes no sense.

TBH jacee, I don't know why you'd be against Harper on this anyways. Part of what Harper was after was keeping people who deserve to be in jail, in jail. Just think about the people responsible for killing all the missing aboriginal women. When guys like that come up for parole, etc, it puts the grieving families right back at square one. They don't just start worrying the day they come up for parole, they're stressed out for years prior.

TBH, who wants to join the party of M. Waters, AOC, Tlaib, Omar, Schumer, Schiff, Warren, Sanders etc? How embarassing.
