  1. We have every right to have an opinion, sure, and to make necessary criticisms of the police, yes. But most of what is being said these days can be disregarded, as it's just idiotic. It's like if your 8 year old wants to stay up til midnight on a school night. Thanks for the opinion, now go to bed. Conservatives aren't forgetting anything. We saw a cop murder someone two weeks ago. Cops saw that too. Then we saw Rayshard Brooks go full retard, and the dire consequences of that. There's a good reason why you won't see conservatives just punch a cop in the face and then tase them. You go right ahead though. This chief was a dick who no doubt gets punched in the face a lot. My google translator guessed that that was bullshit, but even it couldn't make complete sense of that first part. You're actually fabricating here Boges, which is the worst form of lying. The Chief wasn't just 'not appreciating' the fine work of the police, he wasn't just being a dick, he actually threatened the cop on more than one occasion. Then he resisted arrest. I don't think the cop should have punched him when he was on the ground, but we couldn't see all that was going on. Maybe Chief Little Brain head-butted him, squeezed his balls, kneed him, scratched him, pulled his hair, bit him.... We just don't know, and when you don't know you don't guess. The punch looked bad, there will be an investigation, there's no need for the assumption of absolute guilt on the part of the cop, or acting like the chief wasn't a total asshole, or acting like this one incident is proof that "all cops are just racist against natives!!!!!". This is a grown up discussion. Wear some big boy pants, with a belt even.
  2. I can promise you that cop won't be executed by the state. There are 42,000 police officers in Georgia right now and there probably aren't a dozen who would keep wearing their badges if they said he was getting the death penalty. You can't tell cops that they have to allow themselves to be punched in the face and then tased without defending themselves. Half of them will quit right there. Forget about convincing them that they'll get the death penalty for defending themselves. it sure looks like one of them is fucked.
  3. Whoooaaaaa great comeback iceni. I toats agree we need to put an end to curbside executions like this one, where the Chief did absolutely nothing wrong, the police stopped him for absolutely no reason, and then when he was being polite the whole time, he just got killed out of the blue. Blood and guts everywhere, but surprisingly no brains. You should be a SCJ. The cops would never arrest anyone. It would be AWESOOOMMMME! It would be kind of hard to be an attractive woman, or for kids to ride bikes, or for men to go to work 40 hrs a week, knowing that the police weren't doing anything, but at least executions like this would come to an end! Hallelujah brotha!
  4. I'm not wrong at all. We can circulate our money around Canada as fast as we want. It is meaningless. All of us Canadians can pick imaginary lice out of each other's hair and pass around $1,000 bills like monopoly money for it every day. It will make the GDP look enormous. We'll pay a lot of extra taxes, but that doesn't get us anything from foreign countries. It won't make for any export dollars, and it won't help us get China or America to give us a single iPhone. If we extract $1B worth of oil and sell it to the US for $400M, as usual, we now have a global economy, and we can start to import iPhones. Get it? The gas and oil is 8.21% of our GDP stat is not as significant as the gas and oil is 25% of our global exports stat, from a national standpoint. We could kill the hair and nail sector of the economy by buying scissors and nail files and it wouldn't hurt our bottom line globally. Killing the gas and oil sector would cripple this country's economy - our exports would drop by 25%.
  5. Yes, they had broad-based protests for the last half of 2014, all of 2015 and all of 2016, but that's not something to brag about. Why did you even bring it up? Florida had 43 deaths yesterday, 6 more deaths than New York, 4 more than Pennsylvania. Arizona is behind those two. Texas had 6. Oklahoma still has zero covid deaths. WTF are you talking about? Florida's high death rate is because of their elderly population. They have 1/5th the number of cases and more deaths than NY. Florida's death rate is lower than Canada's. They'd have 4,500 deaths if they were on our pace. It is mostly on pop density, the crowded subway, and the presence of the UN HQ, which makes NYC a prime destination for any virus that breaks out anywhere in the world. Nice to see you're learning something Boges! I'm actually really happy about that. Interestingly, Tokyo has as much higher ridership than NYC, at 10M per day. I think that the use of masks was the main deciding factor in fighting covid. No doubt the travel ban they did helped, but if you had to choose one or the other, I would choose masks. In either event, 'our' government [if they're really concerned about Canada] was 100% wrong on both counts.
  6. I blame the Obamas for dog-whistling to rioters and looters. That's disgusting, and far worse than anything that any other US POTUS has done in a long time. Trump has to own that in Dem-controlled states, covid killed about 650 people per million. Almost 3x as many as in Republican states. Even Florida, with all of it's retirement communities, kicked ass on Covid. The hardest-hit place on earth had a dem mayor and a dem governor. They were both guilty of incredibly stupid things, like sending infected people into care homes and telling people to continue riding the subway and eating in restaurants even after the POTUS had already taken significant steps which showed that the feds were taking covid seriously.
  7. I just said that liberals are sheep. You doubted that for a second. HCQ isn't going to be the silver bullet here, but it really tells you a lot about a person when that makes them happy.
  8. Liberals are sheep. The minute that Trump said 'HCQ' every liberal in NA believed every single negative thing that they heard about "the deadly side effects of HCQ". No one bothered to question why the drug was around for 60 years if it killed people stone cold dead, or turned people blind right away. None of them bothered to just look up the side effects themselves - they just all went into regurgitation mode. Even stupid things like 'Trump is making money off it' went viral right away, but the drug had been off-patent for decades at that point. Anyone with half a brain instantly knew that was bullshit. That whole sycophant horde also just assumed in advance that the new vaccine was going to be pure as the driven snow, with no side-effects and a 100% success rate at stopping the pandemic. 'EVERYONE HS TO TAKE IT AS SOON AS IT COMES OUT!!!! THIS PANDEMIC IS OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS!!!!!!! [3-10 out of every 1,000 infected people die] Ironic that the horde of people who thought that a drug with a 60-yr history of being safe (after being used for long periods of time by hundreds of millions of people) was suddenly proven to be a killer, all had 100% faith in a vaccine that still hadn't even been created and had never been tested on a single person. That's the epitome of being sheep. So yes, I'm saying absolutely, unequivocally and for the record that "2015-2020 CANADIAN AND AMERICAN LIBERALS ARE SHEEP". If that's not true then I'm a liar.
  9. The prosecutor in that case is just a huge liar and grandstander. He said things like brooks was "slightly intoxicated" and described him as jovial, etc, which is quite misleading seeing as he punched a cop in the face among other things. Nice to know that .108 and passing out behind the wheel in Georgia is just slightly intoxicated as per their prosecutor's own words. I guess that at .095 with one eye open you're sober. It was .07 here for the longest time, but now you can get busted below even that.
  10. The guy who had the taser out wasn't doing anything. He just kept saying "stop resisting or I'll taser you" but he didn't even taser him. He just lost his taser to the guy. Honestly, if you're holding a pistol by the grip and someone else grabs the barrel they'll always win because they have have a lot of leverage on you, but that cop was still just as useless as tits on a boar.
  11. Democracy isn't working anymore because the alt-left media is a bunch of out of control liars and panderers, along with the Dems/Libs. Barack Obama is the worst of the lot. Him and Michelle are trying to squeeze every last ounce of crime out of the Demmie horde. Honest coverage of Michael Brown's death would have resulted in far less rioting, looting, arson and cop-killings. Obama could have played that down after a few months instead of continuously fanning the flames. Accurate coverage of George Floyd's death would have resulted in very little rioting, looting, arson and cop-killings. Obama and his ho worked the GF death as hard at they could without carrying torches and attacking cops themselves. Accurate coverage of Rayshard Brooks' death would have resulted in no rioting, looting, and arson. It's not getting much traction at all but it's not for a lack of trying.
  12. Interesting comparisons in the States and Canada: In the 7 Dem-controlled States with the highest death tolls, with a combined population of 111M people, there were 75,419 deaths. 679 per million In the 7 GOP-controlled States with the highest death tolls, with a combined population of 92M people, there were 23,523 deaths. 255 per million Canada has 8,250 deaths, 217 per million.
  13. It's useless in the sense that a nation could have $200 trillion in GDP but if it's all in the local sex trade, and no foreigners engage in that activity [brining in their money] then that nation won't be contributing anything to the global economy and they won't be able to convince South Koreans to send them any cars. If that nation exports $10B worth of goods and brings in another $10B for tourism then they will have some leverage to bring in commodities from foreign countries. Much in the same way, you and your family could work all 40 hrs a week cleaning and renovating your house and fixing your cars and doing personal grooming, that doesn't convince the Hyundai dealership to give you a car. You'll need to be taking part in the local economy to provide something of worth in order to get money. There's a big difference between jobs in mining, agriculture, forestry, oil & gas industries, etc, compared to nail technicians, teachers, policemen, hairdressers, etc.
  14. CTV's opening monologue says "police in Atlanta shot a black man in the back while he was running away".
  15. Difference between me and you is that I've posted lots of examples of you actually lying. I challenge you to find a single example of me lying here little buddy.
  16. It might have been someone else. I really don't care who it was. The show is based on the premise that destroying the lives of hundreds of people was worth it to save one person in his family that was sick. You should watch Johnny Dangerously. It's a cheesy mafioso comedy about a guy who keeps on committing bigger and bigger crimes to make enough money to get his ma surgery for more and more expensive medical treatments. If you watch one 90 minute movie it spares you the need to watch dozens of hours of breaking bad.
  17. If your post isn't removed by mods, and this forum has to become a total sandbox, then so be it, but here's the unabridged truth: You're the biggest liar on this site eyeball, maybe the entire internet. I catch you on actual lies almost every single day. Basically nothing that you say has a smidgeon of accuracy, common sense or truth. For a person like you to call me a liar is the epitome of farcical. Of course this is wrong, to the point of being ludicrous, as usual. I do think for myself, and in this day and age that's obviously pretty rare or CNN and CTV wouldn't have any viewers left. It actually is important for broadcasters to portray an honest, accurate depiction of major news events, especially when they're covering sensitive topics like this. For you to suggest that they can be deceptive and just assume that their viewers should figure it out for themselves is utterly idiotic. You've just advocated for complete dishonesty in broadcasting eyeball. That's as big of a window to one's idiocy as could ever be opened. Your brain doesn't need to be aired out, it needs to start start working.
  18. This from the person who couldn't even comprehend why it was inaccurate to just say "he was shot in the back while he was running...". LMAO. The media shouldn't be presenting things to you in a manner that makes you have to figure out that they are essentially lying to you.
  19. GDP is largely a useless stat. If Justin Trudeau pays someone $10K to have his butt waxed for a meeting with the minister of agriculture from Djibouti it counts towards the GDP. If you get your hair cut or get your nails done - GDP. There are lots of things factored into the GDP which don't help our country to prop up our dollar so that we can afford to import things from other countries. The last time I checked, oil and gas account for 23-25% of our nation's exports, and the next closest thing, at about 13%, is the heavily-subsidized auto sector. The Greens and NDP say that we will start manufacturing green energy items and tech to replace the money from oil lol, it's just bullshit. We will never be able to compete with Asian and African countries where parents and teens all work full time to share a condo with 3 other families. Well, hopefully we won't.
  20. The videos are actually as useless as one would expect them to be. It's like if I made a video about the moon landing with some model rockets and Tonka toys.
  21. The media should tell the accurate and honest truth. That's it. They don't need to butter up the cops, or promote a lynch mob. They need to tell the ugly, plain, unvarnished truth. The inflammatory story puts all eyes on the news, but it's harmful to the country. If you watch the video, you'll see that the cop warned Rayshard FOUR TIMES that he was going to taser him while they were wrestling, and the taser was just pointed at his leg. IMO they really didn't want to hurt that guy. In the end, if the cop would have tasered Rayshard then and there, this would have ended up better for Rayshard, but it would have seemed a abusive imo. The cop probably should have helped his partner restrain Rayshard instead of just holding a taser there and eventually doing nothing positive. That was kind of f'd up, the way it turned out.
  22. The Dems are trying to push a narrative that Trump is divisive, so they're really working these police shootings for all they're worth. They're pumping up BLM and Antifa like those a-holes are curing cancer by killing cops and lighting businesses & affordable housing sites down. We'll see if their hatred of police and their love of division pays off for them come election time.
  23. Because they're encapsulating the whole story in one quick sound byte at the beginning of the show, which sets the tone. The tone should always be set to "accuracy", never to "inflammatory".
  24. Here's the gist of what you're arguing eyeball, that this is a legitimate statement: Only a complete idiot could look at all of the evidence and think that this was an accurate summary of the events. It's more likely that someone who sums the events up in such a manner is being intentionally inflammatory. That's why I said that CTV is complete filth. Your defence of their awful anti-journalism falls completely flat. If I said that Would that be accurate enough for you? It's just as accurate as what CTV wrote, so by rights, you should consider that a fair summary if you're being honest.
  25. In my opinion, relatively minor is when the police randomly pull you over at a checkstop and your BA is .071. You're coherent, you're two blocks from home and you have just driven two blocks. That's minor. It's worse when the police have cause to check you because you're driving erratically or you're passed out at the wheel. Rayshard was so wasted that even with a cop standing there watching him he accidentally drove his car over the curb onto the grass. IE, he drove a car when he was in a state where he could have easily killed somebody. In all honesty, Rayshard could easily have killed somebody that night. That's not minor at all. https://www.nhtsa.gov/risky-driving/drunk-driving That's just deaths. It doesn't include people who are paralyzed, people who have crushed pelvises and never walk properly again, etc. It also doesn't include the number of families grieving for a child or a brother or a mother. Are you kidding me that what he did was so minor that he should just be allowed to go? He committed an extremely serious crime and put lives at risk. He also lied to the cops about where he was, how much he drank, etc. His story is that he just came from dinner with his girlfriend, she dropped him off at Wendy's where his car was, and he just got in line and passed out, and he only had one drink. What parts of that do you think are true? He was nice enough, but IMO that's not co-operating at all. Co-operating would be saying "I drank more than I meant to, I realized I was drunk, I pulled over to get some food and sleep in the parking lot. I'm sorry, I've never done this before." Still guilty, but at least remorseful, honest and co-operational. Still needs to go to jail though. In some States they take blood tests in jail. A proper conviction won't just rely on a field sobriety test and a breathalyzer. A blood test is much stronger evidence. Georgia: https://www.ajc.com/news/state--regional-govt--politics/forced-dui-breath-tests-would-remain-illegal-under-georgia-bill/kex1kuaCM4MZeHrspKo08O/ [That quote above is taken out of context, they're just saying that police couldn't insist that motorists take blood tests back at that date, or even tell them that refusing the breathalyzer could be used in court. I only posted it here to show that in Georgia, BA tests are done by the police.] He was being taken into custody lawfully and for very good reason. He wasn't stopped based on racial-profiling he was already stopped, passed out drunk. The cops did nothing wrong at all, at any point. Too bad they had to shoot him, but he forced their hand. In your post above you said "The new police should......". Sounded like you were going along with the plan to defund all police and go with whatever the plan is. The absolute fact of the matter is that police WERE CALLED to come see him, specifically for being suspected of drunk driving, he gave them good reason to test him for drunkenness when they were there, he tested way over, he constantly lied to the police who were very polite and fair with him, be blew way over, they NEEDED to take him in to get a blood test to add strength to their charges against him, they weren't rough when they went to handcuff him, he attacked unprovoked, they didn't even want to use the taser on his LEG so they gave him FOUR WARNINGS and then he stole the taser from them, punched a cop, ran, and shot a taser at the police. Sad that he's dead, but that's what that laundry list of extremely bad decisions can lead to.
