PM IN HOT WATER; The Prime Minister apologizes.
WestCanMan replied to Topaz's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Rona Ambrose hit the nail on the head. 1)Trudeau completely disrespected people. 2)That type of behaviour isn't acceptable in any workplace. Would you let anyone touch you that way? 3)It is embarrassing to the country, he should be ashamed. Other people should be ashamed too. The NDP, Mulcair, the snivelling wimp chick especially. -

That's understandable - his followers are slower than usual. -
300,000 more refugees coming to Canada.

As an atheist myself I'll tell you the main difference between these religions that's actually visible from space if you're not blind or mentally incapacitated: some religions, eg christianity and buddhism, have positive role models to follow. It's tough to get a majority to go "satanic" because it's against what they have been taught to aspire to all their lives. one religion in particular has a role model who committed genocide, forced rape on thousands of women, took women and children as actual slaves, married a 6 year old. It's not tough to get them to go "satanic" because that is what they aspire to. Go ask a muslim if Mohammed was evil. Just man up and do it. They will either switch the topic to "Americans blah blah blah" or threaten to kill you. That's their only play. It's a well-established fact that Mohammed was truly evil but they don't teach you that in college. -

You got it backwards there Bubber. Trudeau's popularity is already declining half a year into his idiocracy. -

I'm slightly disappointed with Trudeau. That's about it. He can't do wrong by liberals anyways and Cons already know he's an idiot. Mulcair just once again proved that he's the angry ass that I always said he was. "The only guy who could start a war between Canada and the US" I think was my actual quote. TBH I'm more disappointed with Canadian politicians in general. What a gong show. As for the crying waif with the sore boob missing the vote, she's the most pathetic one of all. She's the poster child for "men should get paid more than women" because no man would fail to do his job on account of a little bump like that. -
The first thing I read after I wrote that post was about Trudea's little mini-brawl in the HOC lol. Impeccable timing.
-
I don't think we can be too hard on Canadian politicians after seeing the dog's breakfast that came up for the Democratic and Republican nominations lol. I'd probably take Trudeau over any of those guys and Trudeau is basically our own enemy.

Right. And then he went and eliminated it for everyone else in his income bracket at the same time as he started taking even more than anyone else ever had. Get it? And so you're admitting that he isn't a hypocrite. That must have been tough for you. TBH when rich people get a child care subsidy in a lot of cases it's beneficial for the country. Say a couple of doctors get it. Now the wife goes back to practicing medicine earlier (bonus) and they create a job for someone else (bonus). It's not beneficial when someone is going to be at home with no job anyways, and now they just get to spend more time doing their hobbies. Like public speaking engagements, playing candy crush saga, etc. IIRC the Cons reduced their pensions while in office and Trudeau raised the pay scale.

All you have is baseless accusations and a complete lack of interest in understanding anything. There's a saying that you can always get 50% of the poor people to kill the other 50%. It's because they are just looking for someone to blame for their situation. This is a classic case of someone forming an opinion based on a complete lack of objectivity and then...

It's no myth. Trudeau jumped on the soapbox and said his family didn't need childcare help from the gov't and then they jumped at it the first chance he got. That right there is the definition of hypocrisy whether you want to admit it or not. He has enough money to pay for nannies himself, and then Sophie can have the help she so desperately needs to save our country.
-
Not as bad as trump imo. And at least DC is smart enough to know that he's not the guy to run for office.
-
No matter. The fact is that they don't get less staff, they just have different job descriptions.
-
3 plus 2 nannies? Or 3 plus 0 nannies?

I don't know anyone who agrees with Don Cherry the majority of the time, but almost everyone appreciates his honesty. He doesn't take the time to filter his opinions down to fit within the CBC's guidelines. It's ok within the confines of hockey (usually) but his bombast and his lack of tact and diplomacy is too much for politics. Just like Trump. I'm confident that he wouldn't get elected to anything higher than city councellor. Mike Duffy always looks like he just came out of an adult superstore with his rabbi/priest/imam staring at him. His political career is over before it begins.

Common conservative mistake lol. I recognize that as your weak attempt at a comeback but truthfully it's not actually a mistake for a voter in this country to have an opinion. Furthermore, you're not the country either so don't try telling me what "the country" thinks. The country is having a laugh at her expense. #prayforsophie The other spouses got an assistant, she got an assistant, that's fair. She also got two nannies off the public dime just a few months after her husband proclaimed for all the world to hear that families like his didn't need family support from the gov't. Of course you don't see the irony in that, I won't bother to explain it to you.

I don't know enough about all the previous PM's to declare a worst, but Trudeau's kindergarten teacher mentality leaves him dangerously ill-equipped to deal with the real world.
-
You have no grounds to insinuate that I'm a misogynist, and fyi the fact that you're a liberal isn't a license to fabricate. Your debating tactics aren't even fit for a sandbox smallc. What do you mean by "we obviously expect more"? I don't expect anything from her. I don't think she brings anything to the table and she's not an elected official. I'm absolutely against her getting access to more public funding so that she can wander around the country blathering like a Mrs Trudeau. The people who want her services can pay for them or go without, it's as simple as that. It's actually quite pathetic that she would even ask. Like I said before other Canadians do their volunteering and charity work at their own expense. Or in the case of Justin Trudeau they take gobs of money for it, even when they're already on the public payroll. Go #prayforsophie. lol
-
That's just another example of liberals crying wolf. If she was a he then the sentence would read "his part is to be a husband and father until he gets a paying gig". Pretty simple imo.
-
The Canadian version of Donald Trump would probably be Don Cherry lol. While DC is well-loved by Canadians I don't think there are 20,000 people in this country who would vote for him to be pm.
-
"Her part" is to be a wife and mother until she gets a paying gig. If people want to pay her for her services that's between them and her, but it's not up to the taxpayers to pay her to do anything, or to pay for her to have extra staff so that she can "volunteer". Tens of thousands of Canadians do volunteer work. Almost everyone I know does a bit of something. It comes at personal costs. I don't get the gov't to pay people to do my work for me so that I can go do some shameless self-promotion.
-
Wrongo. Whether or not people want her to speak on their behalf, it's not up to the public to fund her. She's no different than your next-door neighbour. If she wants to hire people to help get her work done she can but she has no right to ask Canadians for money. We never elected her and she doesn't act in an official capacity.
-
"It" is also just a figment of the imagination too often is what I said. 1) carding isn't a big deal and 2) you don't know why police officers card the people they do. They go out on patrol and they have people of interest to look for in certain areas. "A ________ male approx xx-xx+5 yrs old wearing ____________. Standing ______ feet tall and weighing approx _____ lbs. Ever watched the first 48 or anything lie that? Police are always on the lookout for a certain description in a certain area. Wearing ________ is never "a suit". Anyone who dresses or acts like a punk in an area where there is a lot of crime is going to get carded frequently, regardless of any other factors.

Wow jacee, you just proved that every police officer in north america is racist with that post. Good going! (just kidding) Politically "correct" is actually a misnomer. "Politically paranoid/delusional with an imaginary license to pontificate no matter how idiotic your storyline happens to be" is the more accurate description of what we are talking about. BLM is the poster child for it. Some people see exactly what they want to see. If you wanted to see ghosts and you stayed a cemetery or haunted house overnight for sure you would "see" one. Maybe even a racist one. But you wouldn't actually see one. If you want to see racism you can find evidence of it everywhere. White people commit acts of racism against me every day, I just happen to be white so from my pov they're just assholes. And guess what? They're not even all assholes. Sometimes people are just impatient, stupid, ignorant, having a bad day/hour, whatever. I'm usually very polite but I've done things that pissed off other drivers before too. From my personal experience female police officers are surprisingly rude and lack reasonable judgement, but I've only encountered two personally. Are they sexist? Was the indo-canadian one racist? My first guess is that they were just bad at their jobs. I just let them power trip for a bit and nothing bad happened. If I was a BLM'er my job in those instances would be to report the more damning evidence of those encounters, scream blue murder if anyone brought up any video evidence to the contrary, and cause public mayhem to prove my righteous indignation. Then sit back and wait for the kudos from the potus.

When you're talking about the "Black Lives Matter" group it's probably sorta on topic to talk about black people don't you think moonbeam? It's kind of hard to avoid, like talking about milk without saying homo, skimmed, 1% or 2%. Furthermore, the BLM people don't give a crap about white people killed by police. You're actually off on a tangent bringing up people of other ethnicities. Moonbox are you saying that black men don't go to frat parties? That seems pretty racist to me. Anyhoo... If you're trying to suggest that "uncooperative" means the exact same thing in every situation, and that it's always at the exact same level of civil disobedience, then you're quite wrong. For example "hostility and violence" are not the same as "drunk and disorderly" although you are correct to say that they both fit somewhat loosely under the umbrella of "uncooperative" with police. No comment necessary lol. Not at all. The "progressives" are just tough to pin down to serious conversation. They like to bring straw men and skewed logic into every debate to cry "racism" and the like. EG, when a person says that "uncooperatives" get shot by police, which means that drunks at a keg party should get shot just as often as sober men acting with hostility and violence towards police... Should a person really make that kind of claim in a legitimate debate to bring the question of racism into it? I missed the discussion where people were advocating the deportation of all muslims from Canada. Can you provide the link? This is a perfect example of "progressives" using the racism accusation to quell free speech lol. You see moonbox, you can't just bring statistics into an argument to prove your point and then completely disqualify statistics, which are directly related, just because they don't work out in your favour. That's what's going on in the BLM debates constantly. I'm sure that you would agree that the people of the BLM movement have displayed overt aggression & hostility, committed acts of violence, they have made calls for murder, and have justified the murders of police. You recall that their co-leader (now we are back on your topic of muslims for a second moonbeam) tweeted "Allah please give me the strength to not cuss/kill these white folks"? You can easily google that quote, I don't have a link here. The BLM movement is setting a terrible example for people to follow, and they are certainly not benevolent. If they cared more about black lives than they did about hatred and violence the their public persona would be completely different. If my kid was black I would do everything I could to ensure that they didn't act like any of those idiots. A person like Jarome Iginla would be able to succeed in any walk of life. Smilers never lose, frowners never win. Another straw man lol. Noone said that police shoot people based on stats, as if they have to fill some kind of quota.
